The food was amazing compared to other "popular" restaurant chains found in Pearland. Once I found this place, I've been back 2 additional times with in a couple weeks. I was impressed by the food and the service was also great. Margaritas were great!

The enchiladas were delicious!! Any variety and you can't go wrong. But I will say - I went twice and the first time the guacamole was delicious and the second time it was just okay. So, I think it depends on the day. Vallarta has a huge menu though so you can essentially get any particular Mexican dish you want. It's located in pearland by a plaza and it has a lot of parking. Service was fast and my party had no problem getting our food in a reasonable amount of time. There is around 60 - 80 people work of seating- both booth and table options. Interior is a casual Mexican restaurant. It's not anything fancy but it's very homey with tiles and some decorations.

Food: tasty and hot, just as desired. I had the chicken tacos, my guest had the beef tacos. Both were flavorful and tender. The refried beans were tasty, it gave me this little memory of wolf brand chili (shoulder shrug!) We also tried the mezcal-Rita and Mojito, both very good. Service: Great. The servers gave us the right amount of attention, wrapped up our leftovers. Ambiance-very authentic, a great mariachi band was playing. It was a great experience and I recommend visiting this restaurant to experience the food, service and ambiance.

For the record, this is only the second time I ate at this restaurant and the first time was fantastic. (The reason we came back.) This time was the complete opposite. It was the worst experience I had. I should've spoken to a manager before I left but I failed to. We had a reservation for 6:30pm yesterday (Monday, June 16th) and got seated right away. We waited for everyone to arrive in our party - 9 of us - and my sister-in-law was the only one late. We ordered our food 15-20 mins after our arrival. The restaurant had other large groups as well. It took ONE HOUR to get our food. Thank God for the chips on the table! We saw all the other large parties getting their food in a decent time frame while we sat around waiting for ours. My husband and I got the same platter: Mexican Flag Enchiladas and here is the description: Chicken enchiladas covered with 1 roja sauce, 1 sour cream sauce & 1 verde sauce, served with rice, refried beans & avocado salad. ALL THREE of my enchiladas were GROUND BEEF. I did not want ground beef. I wanted chicken as the entree stated it would be. That's why I ordered that dish. My husband got one ground beef and two fajita beef. I told our waitress, Priscilla, and she said she wrote chicken down so she doesn't know why they cooked them like that. Ummm okay. Then she offered for them to make them with chicken but I already waited an hour for this to come out; I told her I can't wait another hour for my correct order. Another waitress was with her (I didn't get her name) & she was trying to figure out what to do also. On top of that, my brother-in-law never got his dish while we were all eating. We were almost done so he asked Priscilla just to pack it "to-go". How crazy is this?!! Priscilla didn't offer to comp the incorrect entrees (two of them) or do anything extra about my brother-in-law's situation. We split the bill as this was a Father's Day dinner and paid for everything as if it was correct. (I blame my husband for this and not speaking up.) I will never go back to this establishment. It seems to be run poorly. Management should talk to the cooks and figure out how they can mess up this much on one table and not have everyone's meal out when ordered at the same time. Ridiculous!

Swung by for happy hour and definitely seems like the thing to do here as the bar area is packed. The happy hour menu has margs and some bar snacks which is more than enough to get us through the mid afternoon hump. Food is decent and definitely sized like a happy hour portion. Margaritas are really good. I would try their normal menu next time. Service did seem a little odd as our servers were a bit short with us and it took a while for my drink to come out despite others nearby having already gotten their drinks for a while.

So glad we have a good Mexican place on this side of Pearland at last! Enjoyed the salsas with chips (have to ask for the green or super spicy ones). Margaritas were good, beer was ice cold. My husband was a little disappointed in the serving size of meat for the fajitas, but I absolutely loved my birria taco meal (quesobirrias). The Charro beans tasted like they needed to simmer for another few hours, but the green sauce they give you with those tacos is to die for. Service was great. We will be back!!

The food was AMAZINGG honestly the best tex/mex rescan restaurant ive been to. The ribeye tacos were very tender and flavorful the tortillas were nice and soft. The beans were good the rice was good as well as you would find in any other mexican restaurant. The filled pepper that I got was really good it was tender juicy had the right amount of cheese and seasoning. The tostada that I got with it as well lacked flavor in the ground beef I wish they seasoned it more but the refried beans,pico, and guacamole were good. The cantarito drink that i got was good a bit sweet. Would definitely come back here again and try their other options.

Vallarta Tex Mex had friendly staff and good food. Both the red and green enchiladas were equally good. Beans were good. The rice was moist but no flavor. The place was pretty empty when we arrived about 5:15 for an early dinner but was very busy by the time we left. Overall a good experience. I would visit again.

Best Mexican restaurant in Pearland. It's not really much to say. Been going here since they opened maybe about six times total and as I am typing this, my wife and I are about to head there again for dinner tonight mind you, the options were saltgrass, buffalo wild wings, or Vallarta. The choice was easy.
