As a first time vaper I walk in expecting to walk out knowing with what I purchase confident in my money well spent. I'm sorry that I cannot make such claims. The new owner, as I look up the store after my purchase. Had no knowledge to the products from which he sells. His extensive knowledge in the subject of vaping, vaper's, vaper accessories and e-juice/liquids. Was to the and I quote " This product is good, top of the line, this is very popular, this the last one I have". Not being very inform in these subjects myself, it only took less than a day browsing the net and talking to other fellow vapor enthusiast & hobbyist. Far as I could tell he has been in that location for least over 2 months. Perhaps longer. So my final purchase was well over $100.00. Walking out the store knowing less than what I knew about the product prior the purchase. Legit (as my brother likes to say) not even 24 hours later. I must emphasize that this was less than a whole day cycle, 15 hours top. I was using the product in question when all of a sudden it seem to spark, yes a bright flash from where the connecter from the mod / box. I fear that it was going to blow up in my face. Especially hearing some stories and seeing some videos of it. Which later I learn that is mostly happening on mech mods (custom build at home vapors pretty much). This was an Smok Alien220 W TC. So when I return to the store to try and understand what happened, did I do something wrong? He took a look at it and sold me another tank for $25.00. Then he was gone with 140 of my dollars, Zoidberg away!!! The day prior to returning to said vape shop, I went to other stores to see if they knew. Turns out the pin from the mod was apparently press way to far down. Was told by several employees and other stores to return the item and get my money back. Back to the store in attempt to see if the owner would consider replacing the product or refund me. A good hour of deliberation he kept trying to sell me another mod. On top of that he kept trying to pit the problem of said mod was done by me. I may be knew to this but I know ain't no way I press that pin that far down for it not to come back up in about 15 hours or less. After being frustrated by all of this I simply ask if he will just replace the mod or refund me. He refuse because he said that he will be loosing money. I thank him for his time and told him to have a nice day. I write this in hope that this does not happen to anyone else. Most especially to new people trying to dip there toe into vaping. Save yourself the time, frustration and trip by going somewhere else.
