Hands down the BEST barbecue I have had so far! This place lives up to the hype and I could gush over the food to anyone listening. The workers were friendly and the restaurant is small and unassuming (aside from the long line). Parking was definitely a hassle, so plan to walk a bit. Beef rib: (6/5) AMAZING. It was melting off the bone. Only available on Saturdays and they sell out somewhat quick, so be mindful of that. This was the highlight of our meal and I would come back for this. Brisket: (5/5) it was somehow marbled?? It was tender and juicy and everything you want from brisket Sausage: (5/5) flavorful and smokey goodness I understand why they have a Michelin star and we will definitely be back soon.

Still one of the best BBQ joint in TX and rest of the USA!! I'm in town for a family visit and a stop to Corkscrew is a must. Want to avoid lines...get an online order and it makes it easier. We ordered a few items and for the first time, I'm trying their House Tacos. Brisket is the base meat and dam good. With the toppings of the green chili sauce, cabbage, and Pico de gallo all add it's own unique piece to the taco. Cabbage has a nice crunch, the Pico flavor and spicy kick, and the green chili sauce flavoring were all mixed well! Overall...this is a must go to and will always return when in town!

Corkscrew BBQ is such a gem near Old Town Spring! The area itself is adorable--perfect for walking around and exploring little shops before or after you eat. The food is absolutely incredible and easily some of the best Texas BBQ you'll find. Be prepared though: you'll want to get there early, and expect at least an hour wait (especially on weekends). Parking is limited, so you may need to park on the street and take a short walk. But trust me--the food is more than worth it! The brisket and short ribs are melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and their sides are just as impressive. The coleslaw, potato salad, and baked beans are honestly some of the best I've ever had. If you're in the area, Corkscrew BBQ is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Visited this spot based on YouTube foodies and I'm so glad I came! The wait was roughly 70 minutes but it was so worth. While in line, the incredible staff are always ensuring you are hydrated and you can place beverage orders with them. They have their own sodas which was neat. We came around noon on a Friday and managed to get a table inside once we placed our order. There's also ample seating outside too. Since we were visiting from out of state, we got a little bit of everything. The ribs were tender and fall off the bone - super yummy! The pulled pork was also good, nice a juicy. Obviously, the star of the show is the brisket. You literally can't even pick it up without it breaking. It was PERFECT. Paired with the baked beans, slaw and pickles was 100/10. Keeping this on my list of must-go-to next time I'm in Houston!

Coworker told me about this place so we had to check it out. Then to find out they got a Michelin star later! It's well deserved for sure. Pork ribs - lean (my preference) Brisket - lean and moist No compliants here. Only smiles. Highly recommend if you have only one chance at BBQ in Houston. Price is reasonable. Sauce was great.

Was on my way to Woodlands from downtown and remembered Corkscrew BBq was on the way and had to check it out. Heard about the only one Michelin star and was curious to see how good it compared to others. I arrived an hour before closing and there were still plenty of people outside eating. It sits on a corner and has plenty of parking. Once you go in, you line up to place your order. Ordered our bbq favorites to compare... moist brisket and garlic sausage (ran out o the Jalapeño cheddar sausage). Heading somewhere else so had it to go. They wrap it in individually on aluminum foil to keep it warm. The brisket was super moist. You can see the juice dripping from it with a slight touch. The garlic sausage was ok... Will have to come back for the Jalapeno cheddar for sure! I can see why they were given a Michelin star. Have to come back some other day to try other stuff like their beef ribs and pork ribs and eat them onsite while still freshly cut. Place is a typical barbecue place with tables inside and outside. Nicely decorated with nice light fixtures. After you order, you wait till they call your order from the pickup window inside.

My work schedule makes it pretty much impossible for me to ever give this bbq joint a try, but I FINALLY had the opportunity over the 4th of July weekend. CorkScrew was popular long before they earned their Michelin star earlier this year, so expect a long line, and expect it to form quickly. If you arrive early enough, you can snag a number to save one of the first ~26-ish spots in line (though I'm not sure if the total amount changes day by day or not). The day I went, I was lucky and got #6 in line. With that number, it still took about 15 minutes until I reached the counter to order, but it didn't feel so bad considering it was a holiday weekend (and a big one for barbecue, at that). We ordered about a pound of moist brisket and one portion of Creekstone Prime Beef Rib, the latter of which is only available on Saturdays. Both were insanely tender & moist with a great crust. No sauce needed. We also ordered sides of the 3-Cheese Mac (delicious with a great bite from the pasta shell) and the Creamy Potato Salad (creamy with what seems to be a combo mayo-mustard base). And while it might be sacrilegious of me to say, the star of the show for me... was their peach cobbler!! The textures were so delightful, the flavor was perfectly peachy without being too sweet, and was a great contrast to the salty/fattiness of our main course. I'll be thinking about it for a long time. All told, this portion size of food was perfect for us as a family of four. The employees were super friendly and kept an eye out for us if we needed anything, either while waiting in line or when we were seated with the food. They also do watch out for people saving tables before they've ordered, so just wait in line until it's your turn- the space will open up when your time comes. The line really can get insane, but they take care of you with electric fans and water, and once you're inside you can amuse yourself by decorating the chalkboard while you wait. TLDR; get a number if you can, get the peach cobbler if you can, go on a Saturday and try their prime rib if you can. Until CorkScrew adds more days open to their schedule, I don't know when I'll be able to be back, but I'm glad I had a good experience while I had the chance. - Ambiance: 5/5 - Food: 5/5 - Service: 5/5

Couldn't visit Texas without having some BBQ. This place suggested by a local so we took the trip there. So glad that we did because the food was so flavorful! I got the rib basket with a side of jalapeño and cheese sausage and potato salad. The staff were so helpful and nice. It is a very chill atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating with picnic tables.

This barbecue place is absolutely incredible. The brisket is literally melting in your mouth. The smoked turkey is dense but very moist. The baked beans are some of the best. I've tasted here in Texas. Now definitely save room for the cobbler. It was outstanding. I don't have any other adjectives. The staff are so nice and accommodating. Many times you have to wait in line but it is well worth the wait and they come out and take your drink orders while you're in line. That's a really nice touch. There is outside seating and inside as well with music playing. Great ambience for Texas barbecue

Never been here, but I stumbled across some Reels on Facebook and I looked into the menu, particularly the prices. I must say, I am very impressed at what I have seen. One of the main reasons I started smoking meats was that the BBQ places you will find in Los Angeles are extremely expensive and the meats are dry, flavorless and live on past reputation from 40 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices I see on Corkscrew's menu and their meats actually look fantastic. I have NEVER been inspired to write a review on a BBQ place for this reason, but, here we are. If you live close enough to go there, I hope you realize how lucky you are! I do have family and friends in TX so I hope to visit Corkscrews when I am out there! This is how BBQ is meant to be done.
