This hidden jewel of a museum on Cypress Wood Street is fantastic! Exhibitions are always top drawer. I visit periodically as exhibitions change. Well visit again.

This is not a large museum, but it's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Exhibits change periodically, and some are more worthy than others, depending on your interests. Some exhibits require a nominal entrance fee, while others are free and suggest a donation. A while ago, they had a quilt exhibit. Absolutely breathtaking, as these were true works of art. Last time I visited (recently), there was a "Brick" exhibit - artwork made with Lego pieces and other brick-type building blocks. What a show, especially if you have a "Lego-maniac" in residence or in your family. Unbelievable works of all kinds. A Lego play area (equipped with multiple Lego and Duplo blocks) is in an adjoining room. I watched people of all ages have a true heyday building with all of the pieces. Multiple areas on the walls are covered with peg boards to build on, and there are also numerous tables available for the little ones. A great exhibit! This museum also offers summer camp art programs for children of multiple age groups. Each week of camp has a different theme. You can sign up for one or multiple weeks (each week requires separate registration). You can also opt for morning-only, afternoon-only or full-day camp. Such a great idea, but sign up early in the spring when registration first opens up, because these camps have a limited enrollment and do fill up rather quickly. A nice facility in our community. Easily accessible adjacent to the Barbara Bush Library branch, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is a true hidden treasure.

Everything was pretty cool and we even got awesome balloon animals...however the ladies that were doing the stamps got impatient and decided to stop doing kid tattoos almost an hour early so that sucked and the lady that was doing face paint just rushed through my child designed because she was over it and didn't wanna do her job anymore. So I recommend coming in super early to avoid getting half service here....

I almost don't want to post this because I kind of want to keep it a secret hidden gem so it doesn't get crazy busy but...it's to good not to!! Small art gallery focusing on mostly Texas artists. Very clean, bright, and lots of open space to move around easily. The current exhibit is "No Limits : The Artistry of Bricks" and features Legos. They had a large area in the back, sectioned off for children to build and be creative, offering all kinds of Legos (including Duplo for the littles), instruction manuals, idea books, and walls & tables to build on. In the front, they also had an area with beanbags and books with a foam floor to sit and relax. As we were leaving, they were setting up for one of their art workshops, available for both kids and adults. This is definitely the most family oriented art museum I've been to and we will definitely be back! (Note: admission is technically free but they do suggest a $5/adult donation)
