We picked up a take out order at this restaurant on a Wednesday evening after placing the order online and the pick up was very smooth. The restaurant ambiance itself was great and I wouldn't mind eating in next time! Our intention was to go to a park for picnic and enjoy the food there and we loved it. They packed the food really well and the flavors were awesome overall. We got a Dan Dan noodle (9/10) if you like spicy, cucumber cold noodles (9/10) so delicious, I also added the spicy chili oil that comes with it. And the third one we got was the yibbing noodles (9/10) very delicious flavor. We also got the vegetable pan friend dumplings (7/10). I think they lacked a bit of flavor but great with chili oil.

HRW got my money good this year lol I came in for the 4 course lunch. Started with the sweet and sour cucumber salad, absolutely loved. They were good and cut into a cute design almost resembling a flower. My second course was the beef and shrimp potstickers. To my surprise they also had a little soup inside. Third course I selected the Dan Dan noodles. They definitely get a tang to it but still good. Lastly I had the ube milk tea. Will definitely come back in the future

I did not enjoy the noodles, I felt like their texture was a bit off and not very springy. It was also a bit oily. I thought the soup dumplings were pretty good though. The cucumber salad was good but for the price I didn't think it was worth it. It's very cute inside and feels clean with lots of seating.

We love this place! Everything we had was good and totally exceeded our expectations. The smaller portions were just perfect so that we could try more items. While we were there, they got this Xiao Long Bao promotion going on like $5.99 for pork or chicken xiao long bao- What a steal! The Q-baos looked too cute to be real food- Seriously, they looked so perfectly made like those squishy stress ball buns that my daughter played with! If you like Chinese noodles and dumplings, you really should give Dough Zone a try. By the way, the service was great too!

Although it's a chain, I will say it's pretty comparable to Din Tai Fung just without the price tag. Most of their items here are pretty reasonable in my personal opinion. This place was incredible! Everything was so tasty. I had the cucumber salad which is in a sweet/spicy type of sauce. One of the best salads I have ever had! We also had chicken soup dumplings and pork bao buns which were equally as amazing. The Dan Dan noodles were also super delicious! I absolutely loved the ube milk tea. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes! There was plenty of parking as well.

Very fresh!!!!! All food was pipping hot and you could see the kitchen from the dining room. That being said, inside it's warm and humid- you too are a dumpling Staff is kind and attentive. The place packs up after 6 from what I've noticed. They have booths and tables to choose from. Plates are served family style: a great way to try many dishes without having to commit to a single one. Relatively affordable, menu has dumplings (fried and steamed), bao, noodles, starters, veggies, tea, boba tea, beer,sake.... Love it

This is a trendy Chinese restaurant and great for groups as you order a bunch of dishes to share. This is a favourite among my Asian friends in the area. I came in a large group of 12, and we were seated right away on a Saturday at 6pm. However, it became full soon after we were seated. This is what we ordered: Pork xiao long bao: good but not much soup Pork and crab xiao long bao: really liked it although could only really taste the crab Sweet and sour cucumber: a little too artificially sweet, I wouldn't get it again Braised pork ear: tasted normal to me (hard to judge because I'm not a fan of pig ear in general) Green onion pancake: super crispy and tasty Pan fried pork bun: this was my favourite! Pork wonton in chili sauce: this was excellent and the favourite of our table The server asked us how we wanted to split the check, and they didn't seem to have any strict rules on it which was very nice. I ended up paying $17 for my share of the bill, which is reasonable for a more trendy restaurant like this one. I was just comfortably full though, while my friends ordered more to eat.

We came here for the Chinese Crepe 煎饼果子 (薄脆) it was good except the crisp inside is hard and dry...u have to make it fresh in order to have the crispy texture *Need improvement*! The cucumber salad was great. Dan Dan Noodles 担担面 was too salty...other than that it was tasty. Pork Xiao Long Bao (8) 鲜肉小笼包 was not bad...the ginger vinegar was a must!!! (Right now they are having a SPECIAL 5.99 for 8) Service was good. Friendly staff! P.s. please change the tea pot a tea pot is different than a coffee pot...

I was around the Sugar Land area with family on the way to First Colony mall. But one place was suggested to visit and that was Dough Zone Dumpling House. I had heard good reviews from friends and family of the restaurant for their specialties. And of course I am always up for it all things buns and dumplings. The restaurant is nice aesthetically and noticed there are also a few touch screens kiosks to place to go orders. But we were dining in. It was a first visit for me and wanted to pick out items to give me a feel of the restaurant. So I picked out: pork soup dumplings, steamed pork dumplings, beef sandwich appetizer, steamed buns and pan fried buns. The pork soup dumplings were flavorful and texture nice. Some places can make them too thin, not enough soup broth or too thick but these were the right amount. The steamed dumplings are good too. Good chewiness and packed a nice flavor. The beef sandwich I picked because of the "Chinese burger" item I would see but this was a bit different. The bun, amount of meat and pickled vegetables were great starters. But finally had to give the steamed and pan fried buns a try the steamed buns were a nice size and juicy. As you can see I was a bit optimistic so I took a picture to buns in haha. But what was great was the pan fried buns. Still that nice bun, size, contents were just right but that nice crunchy bite at the bottom makes me choose it over the steamed version. Overall Dough Zone Dumpling House was a good experience. The staff are nice and helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. The place is very nice for your bao, dumplings and a few others craving. Not a huge issue for me but it was interesting on the timing of the dishes coming out to the table. Ideally I would like to go: appetizer, dumplings, baos, and last would be soup dumplings for a nice light finish to the meal. But it was interesting to have it go: Dumplings, soup dumplings, beef sandwich appetizer, and then last were the baos. Maybe I'm just nitpicking but having the appetizer in the middle was something that stood out. Having the starter in the middle of the meal had me internally scratch my head. Because typically those items are quick hitters and first out the kitchen. But not a problem at all if it was a more convenient way for the kitchen to get items out. It's all going to be eaten sooner or later haha. But good experience, that is just the tiny remark for me.
