Not as busy compared to the other ayce Suishi in sugar land. Maybe because it's deep down on highway 6. They only give you one free snow crab cluster per an adult. Overall it was ok. The hot food reminded me of Hokkaido/ iwa ya hot food but ayce version. Probably not overwhelming like sushi masa roll, but Oma have better variety.

AYCE, it's really all in the name isn't it? We were very excited to make the journey to try this spot. We were a rather large group and were immediately seated at a large table with plenty of space around us. The place was rather busy, but despite this rush our server was very attentive and patient and kept checking in on us to see if we needed anything or if we were ready for our next course. Now to the food. The chicken karaage was a joy to eat. It was succulent with a nice a crispy exterior. The agedashi tofu was also very tasty and was cooked well, with a nice and mild sauce. The albacore tataki, butterfly shrimp and shrimp tempura were some of the best and most reordered dishes for us. For cooked rolls, the miyagi and golden bridge were very good. For raw rolls, the summer and spicy rainbow were devoured very quickly. The sashimi bridge was truly a thing of wonder. The organization, portions and quality were overall top tier. I loved the eel, salmon and escolar and himachi. items that were not my favorites were the baked scallops, the galbi and the tuna sashimi. The baked scallops had an unpleasant texture and flavor, the galbi was tough and hard to chew at times and the tuna was rather too soft. Dessert was another pleasant surprise. I loved the subtle red bean icecream that paired perfectly with the star of the show: the absolute revelation that is the tempura oreo! A great trip with very hungry friends!

On our dinner club's quest to try every AYCE sushi joint in the greater Houston area, we came across several flashy Insta reels advertising this Highway 6 spot with an irresistible 15% off discount - so away we journeyed to Sugar Land! I called in advance to reserve a table for our group of 7, and they were graciously generous with my frequent time and headcount revisions even on a Friday night. As we all trickled in, we were promptly seated and delivered waters and menus - here's our thoughts on what we tried: Appetizers: These are what feature most prominently on their social media advertising, and for good reason - they're appealing to both the eye and the palate! We particularly enjoyed the albacore tataki (topped with spicy chili crisp) and the citrus infused hamachi chili. Skip the lackluster tempura and baked scallop, but don't miss the chicken karaage that are almost reminiscent of Chick-Fil-A. Sushi/sashimi: Our whole table cheered when our first sashimi "bridge" arrived! The cuts here were fresh, filling, and well-portioned - our favorites were the classic salmon and hamachi sashimi as well as the seared salmon and eel nigiri. The tuna was a bit on the mushy side, though your mileage may vary depending on the crowd turnover or shipment schedule. Rolls: The menu is clearly delineated into cooked and raw rolls, and fortunately Miyagi goes a bit beyond the typical California roll variations - we liked the Summer, Sugar Daddy, and Angry Bird rolls the most, though it's quite easy to pick what you'll like based on the listed ingredients. Do note that most of these guys are pretty well sauced up, so you may want to stick to the basic rolls or handrolls if you can't stomach a lot of spicy mayo or eel sauce. Hibachi: We had mixed feelings on this portion of the menu - while we enjoyed the garlicky butterflied shrimp, we were divided on the texture of the grilled beef ribs (galbi) and were not too impressed with the limp snow crab legs. I know some people may see the crab as a major draw compared to other sushi spots, but it was honestly such an afterthought in the grand scheme of things. If you're here for the sushi, you may be better off ignoring this section altogether. Dessert: An AYCE sushi experience isn't complete without a sweet bite at the end! The fried Oreos are the main draw (get them à la mode for ultimate indulgence) but I quite liked the quasi-tiramisu coffee cake that reminded me of Japanese buffets of the past (anyone else remember Todai or Tokyo One?) Service was excellent, and our waitress came around to check on us frequently - I am always impressed when food starts arriving at the table even before we're done placing our order! Drinks aren't included in the AYCE, and there's a large group gratuity of 20% for tables of 6 or more. All in all, Miyagi is a solid choice for folks who live in the Sugar Land/Stafford area - y'all are truly spoiled for AYCE sushi joints!

good AYCE sushi in the area, the sashimi, carpaccios, and tataki were my favorites. Food came out with prompt timing even being a bit busy. our waiter was super patient with us and was very attentive making the vibe very smooth and welcoming. besides fish, their hibachi items were also yummy. I'll be back to try eating the rest of the menu lol

Another AYCE sushi and hibachi addition in the Sugar land area. Honestly, I think all these places need something to distinguish themselves from others because they all have similar food and options. This place does not include a drink though. Quality and rating of food depends on what you get. I would NOT get the kani salad (they just put the sauce on top instead of mixing it in and it's not that fresh) or tempura foods. Their sashimi though is pretty good and I love their hamachi chili (shame it's only 1 per person). More variety of fish elsewhere but it has the usual. The hibachi is also good and worth trying. I DO like how there's usually no wait and the service is A+. Servers/clean-up people are very personable/attentive, food comes out quickly, and they check up often. Very spacious area and also not too loud. Summary: not bad, would come here if I want AYCE sushi and don't feel like waiting at Sushi Masa or Oma.

Solid place for AYCE or a la carte - though I would honestly just do AYCE at the rate that the prices are (ex. sauteed lettuce is $7 on the menu...) They have lots of quality offerings, and all the food that came out was good! I like that at Miyagi, you place an order with your server (even for AYCE) and they bring the food to you - this provides a more upscale experience and also cuts down on the amount of people walking around and potentially contaminating/cross contaminating food. Service here is excellent but I think for large parties they need to iron out the hiccups. When it came to a large party, they were good about bringing food out in a timely manner, but it turned into a free for all - the staff were more-so announcing what food had arrived, and people would just raise their hands if they ordered it. There would also be dishes that no one seemed to order, but it kept coming out - just felt like from a large party perspective it wasn't the most organized. However, all the staff was very helpful and we were repeatedly told to just flag one of them down if we needed something - super appreciated that! Would return sometime for a normal AYCE experience!

Wooohoo. This is an all you can eat with quality food and it's delicious. I haven't gone to a AYCE in YEARS. I'm not a fan of them. Food is usually subpar and full of salt, sugar and fat. This concept is different. You sit down, get a menu and order items as you go and they come out one by one. Lots of sushi. More on the dinner and weekend menu. Great value. Really delicious. Not the best sushi in the world, but very solid! The eating area is clean, very immaculate. The servers are very kind and attentive. There are never too many patrons in there usually pretty quiet. It's my choice for sustenance in the area when I'm really hungry. It's a no-brainer! Check it out you won't be disappointed.

AYCE sushi restaurant in Sugarland at the old Cafe East location. Renovated, spacious, bright and clean. Menu is comparable to the other two AYCE sushi restaurants in Sugar Land with regard to types of fish offered for sushi and sashimi, which were fresh and cut generously. I thought they have a pretty good specialty rolls selection for cooked and raw, better than Sushi Masa in my opinion but they do not offer the choice to order half rolls like Oma. We tried their Minecraft roll and the entire family enjoyed it. Their crudo dishes were also surprisingly fresh yet flavorful. What probably stands out most is the one cluster of snow crab they offer per guest. We arrived early before 6pm so there was no wait. Service was great. Food came swiftly after ordering, empty dishes were cleared quickly and stuff was patient in explaining the menu and taking order.

Heard there was another AYCE sushi spot and I had to try it out. Overall, the quality of the fish is good, I enjoyed the Hamachi Chili but I don't like that there is a limit of 1 on it along with some other items. My favorites were the crispy rice and the salmon tataki! This place doesn't stand out as much but it is definitely a spot to try out! Overall, 7/10.
