My favorite sandwich shop ever. My whole family loved their sandwiches, and each of us found something we were obsessed with. We discovered this place on our first trip to Virginia Beach, and it's hard not to eat there every single day. The fountain drinks, the meats, the flavors, the bread, everything is just perfect.

This Taste location is welcoming with friendly service. There are seats indoors and on patio.There are plenty of unique merchandise perfect for gift baskets: wine, savory or sweet nut mixes , canned fruits and olives, cookies, etc etc I ended up purchasing a box of chocolate chip bourbon cookies.

Loved it in here! What a great find/ pop in, we just happened to stumble in here today while walking around. Immediately I knew i would like it, part wine shop, part specialty grocery, part restaurant. We got a few things, and enjoyed them all! Weird but they were brewing fresh tea when we walked in and out smelled so good, had to get some, delicious apricot tea! Now to the food loved the crab corn chowder so warm and hearty! Just delicious, I got it with biscuits the sweet potato, ham and jam one... it was good but maybe a tad too sweet for me. They also had a more savory one i would try next time. Goat cheese wrap was good too, very filled! Cookies were off the chains good! So soft and buttery! This whole place filled with fresh and local! Loved it!

The sandwiches were pretty good however the attitude of the girl at front was atrocious! I placed an online order and showed up a couple of min before the due time. I was standing at the register and she rudely said do you need something. When I told her I placed an order online and was wondering if it was ready she reprimanded me and told me that the orders are only ready when they're supposed to be ready and I had to wait...although my sandwich at that moment was put out. When she realized that what she said was not true, she continued her attitude by saying in the future don't come before your sandwich is supposed to be ready. Too bad her Customer Service was so terrible because the sandwich was pretty good even though they forgot to put the cheese on the sandwich that called for it on the menu.

Taste is my favorite place to grab a freshly made sandwich or salad. It's a great casual lunch/takeout spot if you're looking for something quick, tasty, and easy. You order at the counter and take a number to a table of your choice. They also have numerous pre packaged grab and go items available. Service is quick and friendly. I ordered the Princess Anne sandwich and added turkey. The roasted peppers added a delicious kick and the bread was perfectly soft. The sandwich was loaded with turkey and avocado, and it paired really well with a cup of soup on the side. The Brunswick stew is loaded with chicken and beans making this a cozy and filling meal. The cookies here are DELICIOUS. Overall, I have loved everything that I have ordered here and highly recommend that you try it out!

Ambiance is a nice deli-type space with some ready to eat sandwiches, salads and frozen soups. Frozen soup was in quarts and seemed to be priced right. We got the caprese sandwich. Tomatoes were beautiful, bread was delicious and the sandwich was good. We also got a cup of chicken pot pie soup which was good and tasted homemade. We also shared a salad which was fine. We went at lunch time on a Weds and most of the prepared foods had been sold. I'd go back for soup, for sure. The food seemed fresh. I'd recommend going once for sure. Service- you order at the checkout and they tell you when it is ready, which didn't take an excessive amount of time

My husband and I decided to come here for lunch. When we arrived the lady at the checkout could tell we were looking for a menu so helped us find them before we had to ask. We each got a sandwich and really enjoyed them! The bread was great and both sandwiches had great flavor. I appreciate a hearty sandwich, and these provided what I look for in a great sandwich. There were plenty of seating options and the place is clean and inviting.

Aesthetically pleasing with a tasty-looking menu, I was excited to have lunch here during my trip to Va Beach. I was not disappointed! I ordered a chicken Caesar salad with the multigrain baguette and apple for the side. First off, the woman who took my order was nothing less than exceptional. She took great care in making sure to get my order correct, even offering to have my Apple sliced. She did a great job of addressing questions and proactively pointed out where everything is located in the restaurant which made for a wonderful and standout experience. The food is small batch, responsibly sourced and absolutely delicious. I am here for 2 more days and will definitely be back before I head back home.

I have been going to Taste since I was a kid. The hilltop is the first sandwich I can remember having besides my grandmothers grilled cheese. Sandwich heaven!

Taste is our favor spot in Virginia Beach for food, beers, snacks, AND COOKIES! Whether you need lunch, a gift that will hit or a quick beer, come to Taste. My husband grew up in the area and every time we are home, we always stop by Taste. We also find ourselves ordering from their online store and sending gift throughout the year. They make it so easy to have a "taste" of home. He swears by the Bayside (add bacon) and I generally stick to anything ham or chicken salad. I had the curried chicken salad this time, added prosciutto and provolone, I believe I created The Game Changer, folks. We paired these delicious sandos with their IPA. At this point, we began smelling cookies freshly baking in the oven, and upon correctly identifying we scored 2 insanely delicious cookies. Not only was my oatmeal raisin cookie probably one of the best I have had but after asking my husband for a buzzword for his chocolate chip, he responded "exquisite, delectable, I want more!" The staff here are great, the shop is super clean and we are 2 happy diners. Come to Taste.
