I've been wanting to try this place for months and finally went with a friend. The vibe was cute, quaint, and very welcoming. It's a small place with about four tables inside and some outdoor seating with heat lamps, which was nice. We had to wait over an hour for a table, despite being told it would be 30 minutes for outside and 60 minutes for inside. We passed the time by grabbing a drink at a nearby restaurant and then returned after an hour. Eventually, we were seated outside.

The drinks were decent, with the espresso martini being a standout thanks to its minty twist. However, the food was a huge disappointment and I couldn’t stop thinking about how bad it was for days. One of the main reasons I went was to try the meatball dish, but they were out of it. Running out of one of their three main dishes on a Saturday night at 8:40 pm was quite frustrating! I wanted to leave but we were starving.

We ordered three dishes to share, which seemed to be the norm there. The burrata was good but served cold, even though it should be at room temperature. Oddly, they brought us one piece of bread for two people, and we had to ask for another piece—surprisingly, they didn't charge us for it. The lettuce gems were just okay, but loaded with way too much cheese. The pasta dish tasted exactly like the lettuce gems, which was bizarre. Both dishes had an overwhelming cheese flavor, masking everything else. We love cheese, but it was just too much.

The service was good, no complaints there. But given the high prices for the portions and quality of food, I won't be returning.

We loved our date night here - they really go for the cute European (Italian) dining experience here so it's a cozy and cute and small place with great atmosphere. And every plate is shareable, comes out (basically) one dish at a time, and also it feels a bit like slow service (but maybe that's just all part of the experience they're offering). Anyway, loved it and would highly recommend the pasta, meatballs, and cod mousse. And the Rose Gold cocktail :)

My best friend and I recently visited The Lioness in Phinneywood, and we were blown away by the impeccable service and incredible food! We discovered the one and only martini we'll ever drink again—it was that amazing! James and Annie were fantastic, offering attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm service that made our experience unforgettable. We can't wait to return and highly recommend this neighborhood gem to anyone looking for a perfect night out!

What a great place in the neighborhood to be able to go to.  Found this place completely by accident, happened to be walking by.  It is tucked in the interior courtyard of a condo building, you would miss it if you were hurrying by.  The staff is always nice and attentive, the wine list is over the top, the menu is concise and focuses on quality of items over quantity of items.  I haven't had anything I haven't loved.  Sitting outside is lovely and the heaters make it nice just about anytime of the year, inside is small and nice as well.  We have been back too many times to count and each time leave full and satisfied.

Highly recommend giving this place a visit. Recently opened (within the last month), Lioness has an incredible vibe from the moment you walk in the door, which is carried through in the incredible menu, food, and experience you receive while dining here. While walk-ins are first come, first serve to find a place to stand at the bar, this was the kind of experience I was looking for as a single diner, and the servers and my bartender made the entire experience a memorable one. If you do want a sit-down dining experience, I would still highly recommend, just be sure to make a reservation well in advance. I did have to order a glass of wine next door while I waited for a spot to open up at the bar, but I thought it was well worth the wait. Incredible cocktails, incredible wine/food, and especially incredible service, Lioness is definitely the fun new spot worth checking out.
