It's easy to see why Intercity Transit is the best in Western Washington USA. From the staff to the executives, their people on the ground or in the driver's seat, no detail goes unappreciated from this writer. Insomuch as I ride IC daily and will continue to in the foreseeable future, let me say this: Get over your pride and get a free ride anytime day or night, Intercity has a ride and resource like me.

Bus drivers are rarely on time and are quite often fairly rude, I have places I need to get to, I shouldn't have to wait for hours to get somewhere only a 15 minute drive away

I have never ridden the Transit busses until I had a Stroke affecting my mobility. It was a delightful experience to contact our city's Día-A-Lift's kind and very helpful dispatcher to coordinate my new way of transportation. I have been a current client now for three months. I just want to say how impressed I am with the care, understanding and skill of theses drivers. Thank you!

These bus drivers are inconsiderate they show up late and make you miss your bus. Not only that there has been many occasions where the bus driver leaves people at the bus stop. One time bus route 60 tried to leave me twice it's stressful and they don't care you'll always be late and you will always miss a bus.

Me and my husband went to Olympia yesterday to do shopping because we live in a small town so we don't really have options like they do in Olympia will we have a shopping wagon and we asked if it was fine to use we got told it is but then when we went to get on we got told we were not allowed to bring it on we said we can unload it to fold it will the drive got mad and said no it not allowed on because it has no breaks on it will we wait for another one and this drive allowed us to fold it and everything but as we where he started driving and hit his breaks so hard I almost fell and got hurt I end up hurting my hip because of how hard he was hitting the brakes will another person got on with the same wagon but deferent brand and she was black will he didn't have her fold it up or anything we are disabled so we looked at each other and knew it had something to do with our kind witch is a disgrace and even in crochet we are very hurt because we get free ride the Olympia with our bus systems where we live so we got a card for Costco but now we won't be going back after all this happened we are very hurt and disappointed we never had a problem before but now we are never aging will we take the bus here

I've traveled almost all over the U.S and some parts of Pacific Islands and Mexico. Its first class and have professional drivers. Its the best way to get around town. Intercity Transit is a public transportation service organized as a municipal corporation. It serves Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater, and Yelm, Washington: an area of approximately 94 square miles (240 km2). It operates 24 bus routes, the Dial-A-Lift door-to-door service for people with disabilities, a vanpool program, and specialized van programs, and it is active in community partnerships. Intercity Transit maintains a free shuttle route called Dash, which provides service between the Capitol Campus and downtown Olympia via Capitol Way.[4] Dash runs every fifteen minutes on weekdays, and every ten minutes on weekends, and is close to several public parking lots. In 2009, the American Public Transportation Association gave Intercity Transit the America's Best Public Transportation System award for the mid-size category.[ Intercity Transit operates 77 coaches, 33 Dial-A-Lift vans, and 221 vanpool vans.[6] Intercity Transit purchased six new hybrid electric buses in 2010,[7] and nine new hybrid electric buses in 2014. Intercity Transit is one of the first transportation systems in the country to use an all-biodiesel fleet. All of Intercity Transit's coaches are Gillig Low Floor buses [8] They are equipped with: Kneeling equipment to lower the door opening to curb level for easy boarding. Automatic stop announcement equipment, which announces the next stop on the bus public address system and an electronic sign on the ceiling at the front of the bus. Surveillance cameras One or two wheelchair parking spaces Cushioned seats with purple, blue, and grey fabric. When considering Intercity transit you must consider the size of Olympia - 42,000, Lacey - 31,000, and Tumwater - 12,000 Then you have to acknowledge it is pretty amazing. There are more than 24 routes, most operate on every half hour. The cost is .75 a ride or 1.50 for an all day pass. The bus drivers will wait for you if you waive at them, they are never behind, and they are so much more friendly than "real" city systems.

My bus didnt show up today so when the next route, which doesnt go the way I needed to go, came by I let them know that it never came. The driver called it in and informed me that there was a bus malfunction and to wait a few more minutes and one of the managers would come get me personally and take me to where I needed to go. I was a half an hour late to work but the manager showed up and took me and was very nice and apologetic. Great customer service! Thanks IT!

FAIL. I commute to Seattle for work and my job gave me an ORCA pass which was awesome, until Intercity Transit discontinued it saying that they don't have the ability to install the ORCA readers. This is BS. What they mean is that they don't want to share profits with ORCA, so they create their own pass for $75/mo which is hardly a good deal. You'd be better off paying per ride. For the month I did ride the Oly Express, I found disgusting busses full of smelly people, rude bus drivers, and few runs. I mean really, considering how crowded buses are (standing room only), you think that maybe they would add a few more runs to the route during peak commuting times? Sadly the answer is no, and so I can't justify shelling out $75 a month for crappy service. I just go to DuPont or Lakewood to catch the Seattle Express.
