Located just through the doors of the Patricia Steele Building, this cafe definitely caters to patients and staff around Harborview. I've heard good things about their breakfast sandwiches and 2 people I know really enjoy their iced lemon thai green tea but this is just based on my pho. Ordered a combo pho Monday for lunch, total came out to be around $18 after tax and tip. I like that they have a fresh pho noodle option as well as the dried. The fresh was a little chewy, wider noodle than what I was used to but it added character to the dish. The portions felt small for the cost. The broth had a fatty layer that was heavy and didn't have as much pho seasoning taste as I would have liked. It also felt like the soup wasn't very deep with beef flavor. They overlooked their soup. You pick up the food, accompaniments are picked then as well and you bus your own table, pretty self-sufficient. I'd be willing to come back and the Thai green tea since you don't see it often, but I'd pass for anything else. Especially the pho.

I always strive to be honest in my reviews, so I have to say I was disappointed with this restaurant. My order of pho came to just over $20 with tax and tip, which is fairly typical for the area. However, when I picked it up, I could immediately tell the portion was underwhelming -- it felt unusually light for what should be a hearty meal. Once I got home and opened it, my concerns were confirmed. There was maybe 3/4 of a cup of broth, a very small amount of noodles, and barely any meat. The broth didn't even fully cover the noodles. On top of that, the broth lacked flavor and the noodles were overcooked. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

South First hill there are not a lot of restaurant options. Broadway Pho and Cafe is one of my go to places for a hot bowl of pho when I am in the area. Located in the lobby of the Harborview Patricia Steel Building, this place caters to HMC staff looking for a lunch option other than the cafeteria. Ordering is quick and via a touch screen. The seating area is small but I think because they mostly do take out, I have never had a problem finding a seat for dine in pho! You can also customize your pho with extra meat, broth or add things like tofu and broccoli! Greatly for the pho lunch option!

This restaurant is right inside Pat Steele, Harborview campus. They have breakfast items until 10:30- pretty standard egg sandwiches, but around 10:30-11, they start serving their lunch items. They also sell coffee as well. Their prices are pretty reasonable. I get their bahn mis all the time, the bread is toasted when you order. It's nice and crispy bread. They're quick too. You order at their kiosk.
