Reserved a cargo van online, and the day before the rental, I get a voicemail saying that they don't have my van available and I am going to get a three axle box truck instead, check with my insurance to be sure they will cover that. That wasn't acceptable so I tried to call their office, no answer and voicemail boxes (both lines) were full so I could not leave a message. Tried a couple other local offices and still no live agent. Had to call corporate to cancel the reservation. Worst customer service I've ever had, avoid Budget at all costs!!!

Great service- Ww rented a van across country and it made it in great time! Easy Peasy from start to finish! I recommend Budget truck rental to anyone looking to travel.

They are indeed terrible! The guy there was new, and did not know what he was doing. He kept calling his boss to get some help (at least 5 times) and the boss never answered. I was there for literally 55 minutes!! For this guy to get me a small moving truck. I was meeting people in Bellevue and was super late because of this. The store itself is a dump, btw. He had to put 4 different deposits on my credit card because he kept having to start over. AND then, the kicker, they billed me twice and are fighting my credit card company in removing the second charge. This place is completely untrustworthy. Pay a bit more and go somewhere else!!

I wanted to share my experienced with this drop off location from a transaction I had in early June. It was really disappointing and frustrating, to say the least. When I arrived within business hours (before 4 pm), the front door was locked and no one was around. I waited for 15 minutes, then ran an errand, before coming back again to see if the employee was busy with another customer. But there was no one in sight and so I assumed they closed early, for no reason. Cool. Thankfully, there were instructions for after hours vehicle drop (even though I wasn't there after hours). I followed the instructions and did everything that was expected of me, left my moving van in the parking and went home. The following morning, I called to make sure everything was OK and to settle my bill, and the person who answered told me that because I didn't fold my furniture blankets in a neat stack (a set of 12) I would be charged $30 dollars. Mind you, the blankets were in the back of the rental van, easy to access and in a small pile. I told them this specific instruction was not listed on the placard and I would have done that if it were. Obviously, I would not be OK with the additional charge out of principle, not the money. So they told me if I didn't want to be charged the fee, I had to come back and fold the blankets myself. So I did. Again, out of principle. When I arrived to this location, the blankets were literally in a pile on the ground outside the office. I picked them up, folded them in half, and then walked them inside to the clerk. Really shocked and insulted that this would be a way for the company to create additional revenues streams, and I am disappointed because if they had been open during BUSINESS HOURS, they could have told me this in person which I would have been happy to do. But, like I mentioned above, they were not open and this rule was not posted on the instructions for after hours vehicle drops. Please change your instructions for future customers so they don't have to go through this ridiculous loop like I did. Thanks but no thanks.

I reserved a truck to do a move from Ballard to Issaquah. I made the reservation so that I was picking the truck up in Seattle and dropping it in Issaquah. They called me the day of my reservation and told me that I actually could not drop the truck in Issaquah, and had to return it to Ballard. I told them that my reservation was for dropping it in Issaquah, but they said I had to drop it in Ballard. This was frustrating, but I told them that if they are going to make me drive all the way back to Ballard, that I should not be charged the gas or mileage to get back to Ballard, given that my reservation was for dropping it in Issaquah. So the day of my move, I drove all the way from Issaquah to Ballard to drop the truck. Sure enough, a few days after the move, they tacked on an extra $60 charge for gas and mileage. Even though they said they wouldn't. I called them and asked them to remove the charge, but they wouldn't do it. This was a frustrating experience. I'll be disputing the charge with my credit card company, and not doing business again with Budget.

I was an idiot and didn't reserve a truck for a memorial weekend move and every single u-haul in seattle was rented and we were down to the wire. Just when it looked like we were SOL, we were able to get a hold of Robert at this Budget Truck Rental and he did everything he could to get us a truck and within an hour we had ourselves a moving van that was exactly the size we were hoping for. I can't begin to express how much this meant. The whole experience was a good one. I wouldn't be writing this review right now from my new apartment if it wasn't for Robert at Budget Truck Rental in Ballard. I am so grateful and hope that he has a blessed life and gets very well treated for the wonderful job he is doing. Thank you!!!

Poor customer service. Location rep did not acknowledge my presence in the room. I ended up sitting on a stack of floor mats while I waited for my turn. The rep sent me back out to get the mileage for them. I had a laundry list of issues with the truck and they didn't even look at it, just told me to contact the renting office (which was incorrect, as that office told me I had to contact customer service). Poor service here after an already abysmal Budget experience. As of now, there is no chance I will ever use Budget again. Still waiting on customer service to fix this, but they too are giving me the runaround. Who says "no" when being asked to speak to a supervisor??? UPDATE: Their customer service team failed. They insisted that they could not help me more because I didn't call roadside assistance. Roadside couldn't have helped the issues I had and would have absolutely screwed my timeline. Stay away from Budget, their trucks, locations (the offices looked like garbage), and their staff are a complete waste. Thanks for the terrible experience.

I made a truck reservation for Sunday, June 25th for a 16ft truck. The reservation was to pick up at 12pm- we arrived at 11:50am, and no one was in the office. After waiting 20 minutes, someone finally showed up at 12:10pm. She told us that they did not have the truck we reserved online, and we had to pick between two very run down trucks instead- one was way too small, and one was ginormous. The price was more expensive than advertised on our online quote, and the truck felt like it was going to fall apart at any second. The gas was only a quarter full. All in all, it took us about 1 whole hour from the time we arrived to the time we left. We've used Budget before because it's a little cheaper than Uhaul- but my advice, just stick with Uhaul!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!! They're a scam! If I could give zero stars I would. Prepaid for a 12' truck a week in advance. Arrived to find they clearly never had 12' truck to begin with (the pricing table on the wall doesn't even have 12' trucks on it). The employee, named AL, tried to sell us a story about how they're 12' truck was vandalized. Reading the reviews below confirm this is all bull. Despite not having our truck that we already prepaid for, AL refused to honor our reservation and told us we had to pay extra to use the 16' truck. Classic BAIT AND SWITCH!! We needed the truck to move that day as we already hired men to help us . So she had us cornered and refused to honor our reservation. We called customer service to get this resolved and the customer service rep told us to PAY the extra cost for the 16' truck and then call them back AFTER and they'll honor the original reservation?! We ended up having to pay DOUBLE the original reservation for the 16' truck. We rushed to get back to the office by 2pm before they closed. We got there at 1:50pm and the office was closed, AL no where to be found. Budget customer service extremely unhelpful after wards. Of course, they already took my money so why would they care?? Worst moving truck rental experience I've had. Will never use budget again. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. In this instance we thought we got a bargain and instead we got ripped off.

I reserved a 12" moving truck a week and a half in advance and they didn't hold my reservation! Instead they gave my a MUCH bigger truck, which is complete bull shit. Unprofessional and inconvenient. Get a UHaul. It's worth the extra buck.
