Been to Dog Yard Bar a few times now and the concept is great and is a welcome idea to the area as place to bring pups and have a few drinks. The service and staff here right off the bat are great. They're always friendly, clear in instruction and happy to explain how things work. In both of my (thus far) visits, via phone and in person they're very nice and that goes a long way. I assume all the staff here have pups of their own and it shows as when they're moving about the 'yard' they're nice and engaging with all the dogs. Dog Yard itself is nicely set up. Plenty of astroturf for dogs to run around, with drink stations and an allowance for them to relieve themselves anywhere. There are hoses, paper towels, bags etc. to clean up after your pup so you can quickly clean and let the play time continue. There are seats off to the side for pup parents to chill - high table, yard lounge and bench seating, some with overhangs or fire pits/heat lamps for if it's cold or rainy. Did I say cold or rainy? Ask one of the attendants and they'll give you a blanket so you can enjoy the yard and keep warm! My only snag here is that it seems this place more for groups of friends or for people who are otherwise already acquainted. This is no fault of Dog Yard, but in both my visits, specifically breed meetups, no one is social despite me trying to strike up conversation about the mutual draw here - our dogs. What's the point of paying to come here if you're gonna do what you can do at any free dog park -- stand there looking at your phone or a book? Maybe it's me. Regardless. Dog Yard is a great place for drinks and dog fun.

I've been to many bar/dog parks but this one takes the cake. It's is clean, with cleaning supplies (spray, brush and poop bags) to clean up after your dog. The staff was amazing and attentive making sure dogs were playing nicely, interacting with owners and pups. The drink selection isn't as large as a typical bar but it was enough that there should be something for everyone (mostly beers). I didn't try any of the snacks but I guess I'll just have to come back and try again!

Honestly, I really wanted to love this place since I love beer and dogs. My biggest takeaways are 1) make sure to sit at one of the high tables, as we originally tried sitting on the outdoor couches and had large dogs jumping up on us/knocking over our beers. Probably should have seen that coming. 2) The beers are $9, so on the pricier side compared to the local breweries with pints for $7 - ish. The food is also pretty pricey for what it is- one of our friends mentioned that the burritos tasted like it had been microwaved, although I enjoyed our $14 flatbread pizza with pepperoni and peppers. All that said, it was nice to let my dog be off-leash and get some afternoon sunshine. The price you pay is mostly for the novelty of having lots of dogs around you and allowing your dog to play while you enjoy a beer. I recommend purchasing just a one-time entrance pass for your pup before committing to any sort of multi-day or monthly package. It is definitely worth a try if you like or have dogs, but just wasn't for us.

Dogyard: Seattle's Dog Haven What It Is: Seattle's version of Dog PPL in LA--a recreational center for dogs and their humans. Why It's Great: * All-weather setup, perfect rain or shine. * Staff monitors the dogs, ensuring safety and fun. * Towels are provided to wipe dogs down after play. Personal Take: This place makes me even more excited to move to Seattle and create a better life for Jiji. Huge thanks to the owners for building such a thoughtful space for dogs and their humans!

We recently went for the Snow Dog meetup and had a good experience. The checkin was smooth. During specific breed meetups, they don't allow other breeds during that time ( but that's only from 10 am to 12 pm). Dogs can still wait with their owners inside the premises. We felt safe taking our dog inside. Would come back again!

My 10 month old puppy and I had the most amazing time at the dog yard today! The staff was so friendly, the environment was clean and had a cool vibe (even the music was on point), and the other dogs and dog owners were all a joy to be around. The furniture is comfortable and the snacks and drinks were a plus! If you are considering going here, do it! You will have a great time! We were the first to arrive, so video shows the space but not the several other dogs that arrived minutes later. (Being respectful of other dog owners who might not want to be included in the video)

My pup and I had so much fun over here yesterday!!! The staff is very friendly and attentive. They quickly checked our pup's vaccines and went over the park rules with us. My pup was a little nervous initially but the staff, other patrons and pups made her feel so welcomed and comfortable that she was running around the park in no time. The space is extremely clean and well maintained. They also have agility and small dog section. They have covered area and heaters. They have a great selection of craft beers, wine, kombucha for adults to enjoy while watching their pups have a blast! This is definitely going to be our "go-to" spot in summer!

I stumbled into Dog Yard in Ballard--off‑leash turf heaven at Leary & 17th. Tried a PeachMomosa and a Froze -- yes, frozen Rosé meets whimsy. Bartender was sunny, patio heaters hum, pups romped. Sweet service, absurdly Seattle ("dog park chic"). Felt like I was in a quirky local zine praising Ballard weirdness while sipping booze. Ambiance: turf, misting, tunnels, heaters -- surreal dog Disneyland for adults. Kind folks, clean turf that didn't smell like a dog kennel. I left feeling charmed and slightly judged by a golden retriever--exactly as Seattle should.

I was really excited to attend a dog event. I submitted the shot history the current Vet had on file. I was then told I needed 5 extra shots from the Vet. I adopted a rescue, so I wouldn't have access to those records before the event. It's ridiculous the amount of shots required to attend a dog event. I recommend take your dog to a dog park instead.

Great place to bring your dog(s) and chill. We went on a Friday night, it was a perfect night with our dogs. We had some pizza and beers, the dogs played and burned energy-again, it was perfect. The employees were extremely tentative and introduced themselves.
