Beautiful work and very kind people - I brought in an oil painting done in 1975 by my great-grandma. She had written "Hannah's Cinderella Castle 1994" on the back of the canvas -- when the dust jacket was added, they wrote that on the back, preserving the note (wasn't something I thought to ask for when I was there, so this just shows the thought that goes in behind the work). The framing is excellent and very well done. Note that it's a wait to get pieces back, but it's worth it.

This place is an absolute gem. I can't recommend it enough. We stayed in the neighborhood and visited numerous times. The gallery has museum-quality art pouring out of every drawer and pieces for anyone and everyone-- there is just so much variety. There's too much to see in one visit, so schedule multiple trips in advance. I feel terrible forgetting her name, but the framer is absolutely fantastic. She told us all about particular pieces but seemed to know about every single thing. We did not get anything framed but saw some of the work done, and it was expert. I'll recommend it to anyone coming to Seattle.

I recently had an oil painting framed here and I mostly chose to go with them because of bad experiences dealing with people at other larger framing stores. It was a breath of fresh air working with the super-friendly owners of Fine Impressions and they helped me choose out an awesome frame that perfectly matched what I was going for, which was a mid 1800's victorian era sort of look. They didn't rush the process at all and were extremely helpful with helping me make a decision and following up throughout the whole process. Since I also had the canvas stretched there as well, they also gave me a decent discount too.

This is such an excellent frame shop - pleasant, knowledgable staff, reasonable prices, and the outcome is gorgeous. They often suggest a frame which I hadn't even pondered, which makes the whole experience like a treasure hunt. I've had pieces framed by them for the past 20 years, and have never been disappointed.

I decided to use Fine Impressions Gallery to have two art pieces re-framed for a hefty price partly due to my desire to use local businesses and because a friend of mine had had work done by them within a two week turnaround time only a month before I walked into their shop. My mistakes were NOT paying attention to my gut feeling about the shop owners when I went in to discuss new framing options and NOT asking how long it would take. I found the owners annoying in how they took such a superior attitude and treating me as if I was too stupid to understand how to pick out frame material and matting. Instead of taking my art work elsewhere for framing I decided to try this gallery out. I should have walked out right away. It has been seven (7) weeks and I'm still waiting for my framed art work. After five weeks of not hearing back from them I called and was completely put off by how I was informed that my pieces were in line behind art work that was still waiting to be framed since January and I would have to wait. I did not find the owners retort that "good framing takes a long time" since my two pieces were not a complicated framing project. This is not customer service, not is anything worth waiting seven+ weeks to have framed. I've used other shops in Seattle with a two week turn around and have always been greatly pleased with the framing. I can not imaging that Fine Impressions Gallery is going to frame this art work better than other shops.

Much of my art pieces at home come from this gallery. They have an extensive selection of art and Paula does an amazing job framing. She has great taste and always brings out the best in the art pieces with her framing. She is also very friendly and helpful, and always has love and dog biscuits for my dogs.

I absolutely love this place. I can spend a good 3-4 hours here browsing through engravings, prints, drawings, old posters and other wonderful things. Owners are great to work with and know when to leave me alone and when to sit with me through dozens of works, talking about each one of them. When I am on the hunt for art for my house, I tell my family "it will be a while" and head there. Last time I bought a beautiful original drawing of a woman in sepia, old newspaper front page print, signifying the first telegraph connection between U.S. and England and some beautiful engravings. I got everything framed and everyone thinks I spent a fortune - these pieces look so beautiful and elegant. I am still coveting a gorgeous old poster showing woman with flowers, done in somewhat impressionistic manner.

They also have a large selection of prints and posters for sale. They are very good with advice and suggestions for frame stocks and matting.
