Went here for a quick dinner around 5pm. Thankfully this place has an underground parking (90 mins free from purchase from PCC) or else you're not gonna find parking anywhere in Greenlake. Place is a really vibrant and clean place and was greeted by the waitress. The service was great as the staff was accommodating and checked in on me, offering to merge another table as my small table couldn't fit all the dishes. The food was great, I could not get enough of the noodles I had and the appetizers were great. Take advantage of their happy hour!

I was visiting some friends in Seattle and they took us to this spot and we absolutely loved it! The vibes here are SO COOL and it's just a great spot for groups or date nights for great ambience and yummy food! Crab fried rice: ORDER THIS! I was actually so surprised by how much I liked this dish. I expected it to be standardly good but this dish was probably one of the favorites of the night. They are very generous with the crab and the rice is so well flavored and moist. Absolutely loved this. Bha Mee Hang Bowl: ORDER THIS! Cannot go wrong with any combo. I think we ended up doing two orders of the crispy pork belly one to share between four of us because we liked it so much. The noodles are well soaked in the broth and the crispy pork belly and BBQ pork are obviously their signatures. It is a MUST try. Almond Yuzu salad with prawns: While the salad is refreshing with the fruits, we were a little less impressed with this one. The prawns are HUGE but a little too heavy for our taste with the way it was breaded. Mama Tom Yum: Nice soup with straight up instant noodles like Mi Mama style which I don't hate haha. There was a little sweetness to this broth which surprised me from a typical Tom Yum but I enjoyed this with the crab fried rice! The service is really good and they are super nice. My only complaint is we got seated at these higher tables with high stools and the tables are very close to adjacent tables, making it super difficult to get in and out. But not a major dealbreaker. All in all, we had such an amazing experience at Ghao Lao and can't wait to be back.

Really fun spot to dine any day of the week! Ambience is fun with mood lighting, hip music, stylish decor. Great for groups or date nights. Service was kind and attentive - walked us through the menu, kept our waters full, and food came quickly! Chive Cakes (appetizer) 4/5 stars - crispy but somewhat fell apart. Overwhelming with chives. Great soy dipping sauce. Bha Mee Hang - crispy pork bowl. 4/5 stars with subtle hints of flavor. Lots of food and variety. Mama Tom Yum - 5/5 stars. Perfect spice, great broth, served partially cooked as the hot pot fire brings it to life! Really good and great to share New York Steak Curry Rice - 5/5 stars. Excellent. Steak cooked to perfection, generous spice level on the curry, served with white rice. An abundance of food! We all took home something. Come hungry! Great spot. Would return.

I went to Gao Lhao and ordered the Bha Mee Hang with Dungeness Crab and a Thai Tea Slush -- both were excellent! The noodles were packed with flavor and the crab was fresh and perfectly cooked. The Thai Tea Slush was super refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. The ambiance was really nice too. The interior is modern and beautifully designed, making it a great spot to dine in. Service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!

Gao Lhao has been on my radar screen since early August. I had the opportunity to give it a try earlier this month with fellow Yelp Elite All Star, Carol C (10/11/25). Gao Lhao is a vibrant Thai - Chinese spot in Seattle's Green Lake neighborhood, same complex where the PCC is located. Experienced staff at this restaurant/bar spot, since they are owned by the same folks from Kin Len Thai Night Bites (Fremont) and Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen (Lynnwood, Kirkland, and Seattle in Ravenna & Queen Anne). We tag team drove from Edmonds via I-5. Carol found street parking, I ended up in the underground parking garage shared with PCC and other retail sites. Note: Gao Lhao does not validate. Unless you bought something at PCC, you pay at the kiosk upon exiting. For a little over 2 hours, I paid under $9. Our visit was on a Saturday afternoon, no reservations, and had a brief wait before being seated. This gave me the opportunity to admire the nice interior from the front dining area and surrounding seating proximate to the bar. We had fairly attentive, unobtrusive service during the two hours we were there. We ended up ordering the following: *Crispy Duck Spring Rolls ($14) Roasted duck with cabbage, carrot, sweet corn, scallion with hoisin and sweet plum dipping sauces. Definitely crisp and flavorful. *Braised Duck Noodles ($20) Duck quarters (drumstick & thigh), yu choy, and egg noodles. Lucked out with two succulent quarters, generous veg & noodles! *Iconic Yaowarat Street Curry ($19.50) Rich curry paste with sliced beef, Chinese sausage, winter melon, and soft boiled egg. Served with steamed rice. Savory, creamy and paired great with the rice. *Bha Mee Hang Bowl ($24) Dungeness crab, BBQ pork, crispy pork belly, pork wontons, and an onsen egg atop dry egg noodles with garlic oil and cilantro. Wow - this is one of those entrees that had it all. We ordered too much, however, had generous leftovers split between us to take home. Our server was kind to provide perfectly sized containers to divvy up the tasty food. I look forward to dine here again with The Homie and also the College Friend for her overdue belated birthday. I also would like to explore their inventive cocktail menu. Terrific addition to Seattle's Green Lake neighborhood!

A great Thai/Chinese restaurant to try! I had their Gao Lhao with crispy pork belly, BBQ pork, and wontons and it was pretty good! The pork belly was well made and pretty crispy and full of flavor. The BBQ pork and wontons were tasty as well. The egg noodles with the soup were flavorful and I thought the whole portioning of the dish was fair. The ambiance was good. It's well organized, clean, and has some nice decorations. There are plenty of seating. The lighting can be a bit too dark though. The service was good. All of our questions were answered and the food didn't take long to make.

I've been excited about trying Gao Lhao ever since I found out it was opened by the same people behind Kin Len. I expected beautiful ambiance and amazing food, and Gao Lhao definitely delivered! We came right at the start of happy hour and the restaurant was already bustling. They use Yelp waitlist, so you can put your name down and stroll around the surrounding area. We waited maybe 10 minutes before we were seated. Walking through the restaurant, I appreciated the neon signs on the walls, vintage art, and aesthetic seating that give this restaurant its unique flair. The happy hour deals are amazing, and they have many appetizer options and drinks on their HH menu. We ordered a TON despite being a party of two, and I am glad I got to try so many items! Food came out very quickly as well, my thoughts are below. Chrysanthemum slushy (HH): This was so smooth, you could hardly taste the alcohol. The texture of the ice was satisfying, but it honestly gave teeny-tiny pebble ice more than slushy texture. Though I am not the biggest fan of chrysanthemum tea, this was super refreshing to sip between rich and flavorful bites of food, like a palate cleanser! Fish sauce chicken wings (HH): These were SCRUMPTIOUS. The meat was super tender and the sauce was sweet, savory, and super umami. I loved the caramelized edges and how the sticky sauce coated the crisp skin. All of the wings were flats, in case you are a fellow drum lover like me. Calamari and Salted yolk salad (HH): This was the absolute winner for my friend and I. All the veggies were crisp and clean, and there was a generous portion of crispy, tender calamari, but the star of the show was the dressing! The creamy sauce had crumbled, earthy, mealy bits of salted duck yolk throughout, and the flavor combo was something I have never tasted before. If I manage to replicate this dressing at home I may enter my salad girl era. I actually could not relinquish my fork until this salad was DECIMATED. Crab curry noodle wrap: This was another stunning dish that combined flavors I had never thought to put together before. The curry sauce was a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, creamy goodness, and the crab claw option comes with three plump, tender crab claws. You definitely aren't getting a ton of crab in each wrap but a little does go a long way to complete the bites. You dip the vermicelli in the curry sauce, then pile a leaf (idk what it was) high with the saucy noodles, a piece of flaky crab meat, some fresh pineapple, cucumber, mint, and pickled mustard greens. Put a spoonful of curry sauce on top for good measure. The flavors unfolded beautifully as I chewed through my wrap. First the creamy curry, then the bright, sharp, sour, salty notes of the other toppings. This dish would not be complete without any one of the sides. Sukhothai tom yum noodles: I have had stupendous tom yum noodles at other restaurants before and my standards are quite high. While Gao Lhao's rendition is by no means bad, there were a few things that keep it from taking the top spot in my ranking. Namely, the BBQ pork topping felt a bit like an afterthought. While there were many pieces, it was dry and tough. I did enjoy the sweetness from the long bean, but I think it could have benefited from a bit more acid in the broth. We opted for the egg noodles and they were perfectly springy. The portion was absolutely massive! Creamy galangal coconut hot pot: Everyone talks about the seafood hot pot, but this coconut chicken soup is a flavor explosion that is so, so unique yet drinkable. It is almost hilariously simple at first glance, just some mushrooms and chicken breast sliced against the grain, stewed in a coconut broth with some glistening spots of oil on top. However, the galangal-forward, savory chicken broth is the perfect sipping soup for Seattle's perennially cold and rainy weather. The soup is thin and not overpoweringly creamy. The coconut gives the soup a luxurious richness without making it taste like straight coconut milk. The chicken was just a tad tough, but given that we had neglected this dish in favor of the other four on our two-person table, it is honestly not that surprising. While this is on the pricier side for a Thai restaurant, you are getting great portions and unique, delicious food that you get to enjoy in a gorgeous ambiance. Whether you are looking for unique bites or a show-stopping dinner spot, Gao Lhao is a must-try!

Service is great. Kin Len/ Isarn team did a great job with this new sister restaurant. The vibes were there. Location is prime. I came at the end of happy hour thru dinner and it was packed. Food is all shareable & flavorful. The Bha Mee Bowls (dry noodles) are very flavorful and large. Thats their thing and I think it's done well. Pad Thai classic, is alway good. I think actually better than Isarn at least this time feels more saucy. Calamari was a bit too heavy in batter and fried for me. Really like the flaming tiger tom yum . It tasted like a hybrid of tom kha and tom yum. Was a nice balance from the other dishes Slushies were great ! Fun flavors like chrysthanmem and yuzu , both non alcoholic and alcoholic options.

Gao Lhao is a hot new Thai restaurant in Green Lake. Their food is a mix of Thai and Chinese fusion. I've seen a lot of trending videos of their hot pot, so I had to try their tom yum hot pot. It was delicious! We got the seafood option, which had a nice variety, and the noodles were the classic Thai Mama noodles, if you know, you know. We also got appetizers. Their duck egg rolls were delicious with tender meat, but the chicken wrapped in pandan leaf was not impressive. The chicken had a weird texture, and the flavor wasn't great. We also ordered our regular Thai favorites like fried rice, noodle dishes, curry, and boat noodles. They were good but nothing extraordinary that you couldn't get at other Thai restaurants. I think I'd only go again for the hot pot. Everything else was just okay. Parking is street parking and can be challenging to find. Service was pretty fast, and our food came in about 15 to 20 minutes. Wait time was almost an hour, and you can put your name down ahead.

Was excited to try this place since it was created by Isarn (my favorite place) and everything was ok. The bah mee bowls with crispy pork belly was amazing and comes with a lot! The pork wontons were ok, not much filling in them. The fish sauce wings were big and crispy on the outside. The panang curry with steak was very salty even with the rice so that was ok. The service was excellent! We did go on a weekend for lunch so the wait was about an hour. So highly recommend going to put your name down and then enjoy a nice pre-meal walk at Greenlake! There was plenty of seating too for large parties.
