This spot is legit! We came over with a group of friends on a lazy Saturday afternoon. With 8 adults and something like 22 children (not actually but it feels like it!) we found plenty to keep us busy. The place is located near water, I think, and boasts a number of play set, a really cool rope zip line thing, and lots of room to run! We set up camp for a couple hours and everyone had plenty to do and do so taking turns- winning! There was a small field adjacent to the play area where older kids were playing soccer and across the street were a couple restaurants. If we lived nearby, we'd be down here every chance we had, but alas, we shall only come down as often as we visit. If you're nearby - visiting or living, you should check this place out!

I love this park. Nice calm area with lifeguard on duty during specific hours. There is parking available and if you get there early enough you can get a spot. I love this park. During the fall and winter it's just nice to be sitting by the water and relax. I don't like is that sometimes it get dirty overnight. Probably teenagers having a party or something. I know those who work there trying the best to stay on the top of it. The other thing that I experienced more than other parks is the amount of wasps during summer months. It get annoying and for someone with allergies is definitely place with danger.

One of the smaller Seattle beach parks which I actually like. Secure for kid watching... Lifeguards on duty in the summer beginning 12 PM. Also free swim lessons for kids mid day between 12:15-12:45. See City of Seattle Park & Rec website for more detail. The bathrooms are disgusting but there's a big tree so you have the option of either sitting in the shade, on the beach or on the grass in the sun. A couple of benches to sit on. There's a sign for high car theft so just be smart about your valuables and such. Very kid and family friendly park.

Very chill park beach that has a play area for children. You can fish, swim, and play tennis. Walk around the many different trails to the beach area. Good views around the entire park. Descent amount of trees everywhere. Perfect place for a bbq or picnic.

Baker Beach is great if you: have kids who like swimming, have kids who can't swim, like to keep an eye on your kids at all time, want to sell lemonade or ice cream, like to see gigantic eagles swoop right near the shore, or want to chill by the lake with no suburned inebriates, smokers or other unsavory characters. Mount Baker Beach is a small, well-groomed lifeguarded beach with a dock, diving board, large restrooms with showers, and well-groomed grass to lie on (with a stretch of sandy area right by the shore). This is definitely a family beach. I'd say about 90 percent of the people here are with children. It's got roped-off shallow and deep ends, lifeguards (in the summer anyway), free kids' lifejackets to borrow, and even free lockers (you supply your own lock). I like to come here when I need to work, and want to do it outside with a view, or when I just want a nice quiet place to read or people watch. People watching here is almost exclusively limited to cute kids digging in the sand, splashing around, and doing all the stuff cute kids do. Its location is perfect if you're a cyclist or runner (or, in my case, walker) who needs to fill up their water bottle or use the bathroom. The next bathrooms are about a mile in either direction. Of course, if it's drunken ogling you want, just head south up to Seward Park beach, which is also lifeguarded and good for kids, but is much larger with a more diverse crowd. But if you want something low-key, and especially if you have little kids, Baker Beach is a good bet.

I love this little park, what a gem (hey, if you come here, KEEP IT THAT WAY, this is my 'hood!!). In all seriousness, Mt Baker Park Beach has a long dock to stroll on, one side for water sports (kayaking, SUP, canoe), the other side for swimming -- in Summer, there's a full time life guard on duty, so it's safe to bring your kiddies. There are showers here (which I don't love, I don't want these to attract the wrong crowd) and bathrooms, which I've never been in, since I live so close, but I'm sure they're nice enough. I walk through here daily, and pretty much every day, I see gross dudes in their cars getting stoned. That's really annoying. Stay home already. Other than that, a great place! Please come and visit and keep it pretty for all of us. :)

Fall out of bed and into my suit, find my towel still wet and sandy from yesterday. Silently steal change from the top of my parents dresser and slide out the door. Dodge sticker bushes as I run down the trail at the end of the Molitor's driveway - a shortcut that gets me into the lake a good 7 minutes sooner than the Dose Terrace Steps. No one but Marsha here yet; sitting in the guard chair in her fading red suit, pith helmet and mirrored aviator shades. Shake out the towel and lay it down to dry in the sun - I won't need it for a while. Run for the water and dive under the ropes - the raft and the diving board are ALL MINE...for now... The shore fills, friends arrive, mom shows up with sandwiches and sodas. Milfoil grows thick from the lakebed - like a forest... We're The Bugaloos! We're in the air and everywhere, flying high, flying low.... Did you hear that? POPSICLE MAN!!!!!!!! Bomb Pop purchased with the stolen quarters. Afternoon races from the ropes to the raft...I always win, unless it's that stupid boy. Dad comes down to get me for dinner. I can't hear you when I'm underwater....

This place is the best spot to watch the blue Angels. I also was pumped on the ice cream truck purched near by.
