Would I return? Probably not. I went for a friend's birthday celebration, and compared to other karaoke spots I've been to, there were some noticeable drawbacks. First, the song selection system wasn't the easiest to use. The device, tucked into the corner of the room, had a lot going on--options to order food, search by language, browse top songs, etc.--which is great in theory, but I didn't find it very user-friendly. I searched for Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, and Rosé, but none of them showed up. I must've done something wrong, but I couldn't figure it out, so I resorted to scrolling through artists alphabetically. Another issue was the lyrics on the screen-- the highlighted words didn't match up with the song, making it hard to sing along if you didn't already know the lyrics by heart. On top of that, there was no way to skip intros or interludes, so you had to sit through the full music video unless you skipped the song entirely. Also, no tambourine in the room? Is that not a thing anymore? I wanted to play along while my friends sang, but apparently, that wasn't an option. Lastly, the way our session ended felt abrupt. I'm used to getting a time check before our booking is up, but instead, we were just told to leave when our time was over. It wasn't a huge deal, but it did feel a little rushed. Overall, we had fun, but the experience could've been better.

Grabbed a box for my birthday! It was super fun! The staff was super attentive and really nice. 100 for them. I did have some gripes with the karaoke system and the drink menu tho. So they do not have a full service bar. Their menu was pretty limited to a few choices of beer, bottles of wine and bubbly. No mixed drinks here. For the karaoke system, it's definitely not one where you'll find deep cuts (at least in English) and you have to search things by initials. Like to search Justin Bieber, you can only type JB. Made it a bit more difficult to find things but can't complain too much cuz they had the hits. Regardless, I still had a freaking great time. Value is not bad. 43/hour on weekend for a small room with 9 people. Everyone was able to sit if they wanted. So overall, it works!

My friends and I came to Novabox for karaoke this weekend after seeing an Instagram reel about it. It is the newest karaoke spot in U-District. We made reservations for 8pm and we're promptly seated in a room. The interior was nice and complete with black sofas, dice, and lots of glowing lights. However, when we stepped in the room, we were overwhelmed with the odor from old cigarette smoke. Thankfully, they had a fan but this place really should be a no smoking zone. The employee showed us how to use the song selection tablet; the device was your standard karaoke bar equipment. You simply search for the song or artist using a touch pad and add it to the queue. Or it seemed simple, but the song selection was super limited and some songs you could find only by searching artist and some artists you could find only be searching for a song. It was quite annoying to say the least. Also, they have an app for your phone, but it required We Chat, and even with We Chat, it didn't work. The employee working there said it wasn't useful after we asked. Additionally, some songs were on the machine but needed to be downloaded, which we were unable to do. After fiddling around with the machine some more, we decided to hop karaoke bars and go to Moon Walk in ID for a better selection... only to find that they are owned by the same company and have the same dumb karaoke machine. At least Moon Walk has more downloaded songs to choose from. Overall: 3/5 for experience, 3.5/5 for atmosphere

It was my birthday party under Jon for 30 ppl last night and they really accomodated and gave great service. They made sure our drinks came on time, they did not disturb our fun, and we had a kpop remix that we wanted to play on our phones and they made sure we were able to do that. Inside looks nice you just walk up some stairs and you're there. Amazing duo team, amazing ambience, amazing party room, and we had an amazing night will definitely come back again with friends! PS, I do recommend bringing your own mini fans as there's not much cool air in the room for the ones who get hot easily.

It really takes a lot for me to leave a poor review but Novabox felt like a scam and a half. It was dirty, the bathroom was gross, weird empty claw boxes, claimed to have a full bar but didn't. No ice. Warm beer. Staff unhelpful when it came to struggling with the system. The system for songs was horrible, search feature wouldn't work, bad echoing, the list goes on. Cost for drinks was astronomical.

I really wanted to like this place but there are a lot of things that need fixing here. The drink menu is pretty pricy especially for being in an area with a lot of college students. Its a bit ridiculous to charge $23 for a simple bottle of soju when you can buy it a few block down the street for a fourth of the cost. The food menu was also a bit slim and thought it was strange to see instant noodles being marked up to $8 The workers were really nice and helpful in showing us how to find songs/artists. There were a lot of popular artists and song that weren't anywhere to be found though so that was a bit of a disappointment.

My booked the VIP room for birthday party. The picture on Yelp looks much bigger than in person. Our group was about ~25 people and it was way too hot to accommodate 30 adults. No ventilation or AC. Our group had to go outside for some fresh air every so often. The sound and songs selection was good. Also wish they had more solid snacks/food selection.

As much as they provided the service that we needed that night. The place was dirty and stunk of cigarettes. They had plastic wrap on their smoke detectors and cigarette butts everywhere. I had a headache 30 mins in from the smell. There are better private karaoke places that you can go to.

First, right off, the staff were excellent and worked very hard despite being put in a really tough spot. However, the English and Japanese song selections were just horrible. This place has Chinese songs that jump on automatically while one tries to struggles with the machine trying to find a karaoke song. So, I assume they have a good selection of Chinese songs. However, anyone needing the other two languages who gives this place anything higher than a one star just doesn't know what a real karaoke room is like. Try SBK or Rockbox downtown. Even Chicken Prince in Edmonds or Big Bang in Lynnwood is better.

Sound quality is perfect and got many different languages songs in their system. They got privates rooms it's perfect to hangout with friends.
