I love the fact that this restaraunt is located right in the lobby of McCaw Hall. You dont need to worry about getting back into your car to go to your event, your right there!!!! I have eaten here before and was it great...no, did it suck....no. Me and my friend were at McCaw hall for the Nutcracker and made reservations 2 weeks prior. When we got here, were were immediatly seated at a great table. Our waitress was very nice and took our drink orders. We ordered out appetizers and salads. I had the ceasar salad, which was good, but could have used a bit more dressing. The Beechers Mac N Cheese I ordered was very bland and needed alot of salt. Me and my friend both ordered the Meatloaf that night and when the waitress brought us our meals, we both just started at it. It literally looked like they had piled some dog poop on top of mashed potatoes. It didnt' look appealing at all. I told my friend "Ok, it looks werid, but I'm sure it's edible". We both maybe took 3-4 bites to try it. Was not good at all. Way too many mushrooms and again, how it was presented, it looked like crap :( The meatloaf was in chucky strips...not normally how meatloaf is prepared. We ended up eating around the meatloaf and finishing the mashed potatoes which which were not bad! I would say if you are dining here, try something simple like pasta's, soups or salads. It's such a convience where this restaraunt is located, that you sort of forget that the food isn't great. You sure remember though when you get the bill!!!! Such a shame!

RUN AWAY! Do not bother unless you are absolutely starved. Here is the email I sent to their catering department about our terrible experience at Nutcracker Suites: I am severely disappointed in our experience at the Nutcracker Suite today at McCaw Hall. The buffet was cramped and disorganized. It was impossible to serve a plate without spilling food. Speaking of spilling food, it was what was all over the floor of the room. One would think a company who supposedly has experience serving during a tight intermission schedule would have a fluid, seamless and stress free environment for their patrons. This environment was sadly missing. Take a page from Trophy Cupcakes who had two well spaced long tables with adequate space for all those in attendance to approach, decorate, and depart without stepping on toes or dumping into other patrons. I will not recommend anyone go to the extra, extravagant, expense for such a miserable dining experience. My daughters were unable to drink any of the cocoa because it was scalding hot. I was unable to drink any coffee as it was even hotter than the cocoa! We have 15 minutes or less to have a snack and drink. When we left the beverages were still too hot to consume and my 4 year old had to gulp water as we walked to our seats. Speaking of seats. You know exactly how many patrons are coming to this event! I fail to see how you do not have enough chairs and tables for the guests who have paid to have a special dining experience. There is absolutely nothing special about standing and trying to inhale mediocre food, what there was of it left on our plates when we departed the tiny circular buffet tables, all while trying to hold scalding hot beverages. You obviously also expected children to be present in the Nutcracker Suite as signified by the tutus and sword props at the entrance. As you charged the same admission for a child as an adult then you should provide appetizers suitable for children. Aged cheese or as my daughters called it stinky cheese on a cheese platter! Every child who even approached the cheese platter wrinkled their noses and would not even consider any of the other items at that table. It would have been a simple matter to have at least one appetizer item suitable for a child. Grapes that are mushy and wrinkly do not qualify as child friendly! Many dignified and obviously more experienced caterers know how to table and sign their appetizer offerings so those with food allergies are able to properly choose items that fit within their dietary needs. Since you neglected to provide any type of menu prior to event then signage is a must. So incredibly stressful to have to tempt fate by nibbling an item to try to determine if it will cause you intestinal distress halfway through the second act. All in all, I wished I had skipped the terrible experience of your "Nutcracker Suite". I have attended many large catered events. This event was tiny and quite terribly run. I will be sure to avoid your services as well as steer anyone interested in your company away. Please fix this overpriced miserable event!

This review, like a previous one, is for the "Nutcracker Suites" offered during intermission during holiday Nutcracker performances. Save your money and don't bother with this. I don't have kids, but our experience was pretty much the same as she described. Overcrowded, lackluster food, too pricey. For a catering company to have a spread that looked like someone had just picked everything up in a quick Costco run, is pretty bad. Also, there was a huge line to get in. You are told to print and bring your ticket, but they didn't even look at that. Instead they were hunting for everybody's name on their list. This was the one dark spot on our ballet experience. I thought it would be a special treat, but it truly sucked.

Bad. We booked a table for dinner before seeing "The Marriage of Figaro" this past weekend. Service was incredibly slow, and the food was the kind of stuff you'd get from the steam tables at one of those all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants in an Aramark-run corporate cafeteria - bland and incredibly lame, especially for the $250 that dinner cost for the four of us. It's like they know they have a semi-captive audience with people attending a show at McCaw Hall so they don't try very hard. Very disappointing. Avoid.
