This review is only for my return experience. First, shout out to Marzini who is above and beyond providing assistance during the return after hour (5pm). Now a warning for all rental. If you are thinking the car return would simply drop of at parking lot at any hour, then don't plan to return at this location. The rental return instructions indicating drop off the car in the parking garage and drop off key, however the parking garage gate is closed and no access after 4pm. These experienced is different with other rental company from my previous experience. I also called the customer service hotline and she also claimed that I should drop of in the garage, and drop off the the key, yet again I told her the gate is closed. Luckily, Marzini is willing to open the gate for me on her way out from the office. My recommendation for SIXT is to post a large bold warning /reminder that you cannot return after hours. It is so confusing. Since I picked up the car from Seatec, review about the rental will be a separate review.

Never again. I was in Seattle to settle my late father's estate. Already a stressful time. Somehow I received a scratch on my car (or missed it when I picked it up) that would not have bother any other rental company. Now they are charging me $1600 for repair something that I bet I could buff out. Sixt, save your canned email. If you wanted this resolved, you should have resolved it by now.

We rented a car from Sixt Ireland (Dublin Airport) in October 2025. On our trip around the Ring of Kerry, the rear tire suddenly burst. The tire technician confirmed both rear tires were completely bald and the front tires were also badly worn -- the car was not roadworthy when rented. Sixt initially blamed us for "under-inflation," which the technician said was false. Since then, they've ignored three follow-up emails and provided no reimbursement or acknowledgment. We've filed complaints with the CCPC and ECC Ireland over the unsafe condition of the vehicle. Extremely disappointing experience and a serious safety concern for future customers.

When I rented a car for a family vacation, SIXT gave me a defective car which had a bad transmission and left me stranded on the road in Beacon Hill for 5 hours at night. When I called their customer service line, they transferred me to their roadside service line. And when I got connected to their roadside service line, they told me to contact customer service. Then after 2 more back and forth telephone transfers over the course of an hour, they told me to wait and that a tow was on its way free of charge with a replacement vehicle, and that they would update me on the progress. After an hour, I called back in and they made me do the same transfer back and forth for another hour (at this point, about 10pm) before I got sent to someone who said there was never a request made for a tow and that I would have to stay with car until another team came back in the morning. I told them it was a bad neighborhood and they said to call the cops, schedule my own tow at my own expense, or pay for the full price of the car if something happened to it. I asked to speak to the supervisor and they told me there were no supervisors and then hung up on me. I called back in, they transferred me around back and forth again and after ANOTHER HOUR, they promised again that they would schedule a tow free of charge with a vehicle replacement. BY 1 AM IN THE MORNING, a tow truck finally appears with the promised car. Now look here, half a year later and they're demanding I pay the tow fees. They gave me a bad car that left me stranded me in a bad neighborhood past midnight, jerking me around back and forth and demand I pay the full price of the booking all over again for the pleasure of the experience. SIXT is cheap for a reason. They have a fleet of bad cars, have absolutely no training for their phone staff, and worse, are happy to strand you in any city you're visiting then charge you for the hassle. I have a photo here of them trying to cheat their own towing company and send them after me to collect. If that's how SIXT treats their own team that makes them money, what do you think they'd be willing to do to you? Learn from my mistake and the mistakes that sound exactly the same from all the other 1 star reviews on this page. I'm going to fight these vampires because they're scum. You can avoid the fight altogether. Recognize this company as trash and just spend $50 more elsewhere that doesn't actively hate you.

0 stars! Don't use them! I returned the car handed the keys to agent, nothing was said. 2 weeks later I get an accident repair estimate claiming I did it. No conversation, just a picture with no date or time for $530. I tried to fight but they were going to take me to small claims court and threaten to ruin my credit. Looks like company just looking to fix their cars on the customers dime!

I Would not recommend this rental company at all. We arrived at airport around 9:30-10pm & they gave us a different vehicle than what was ordered. of course, you sign contract without seeing car first & it was a black car & the garage was dimly lit- the car had damage on wheel base & we didn't see it til the next morning - we called & sent pictures immediately when we saw the damage on car which we didn't do & they recommended we bring it back in & theyd give us another one which we did (we didn't have that car 24 hrs). We didn't get in an accident on way to my son's house & where we parked no one could have hit it at night. This company are crooks.

BEWARE CRIMINAL FRAUD: look up the SIXT class action lawsuit they are in the process of settling right now. They are still engaged in the exact same behaviors! Will you be their next victim? They run criminal bait and switch pricing scams at this location! You will be robbed! I prepaid my rental fees online and they were trying to say I hadn't while refusing to look at the receipt on my phone. I also called the number for their location the day before to verify how much the deposit was and was told $200. When I showed up it doubled to $400. I politely told them I had called this location to verify and they should honor it and the woman started yelling at me that no I had called the national customer service number and they can't do that. When I attempted to show her the call log on my phone proving it was their number she continued to yell at me that I called the wrong number and that she will call the police if I don't leave. So I was left stranded without a rental car I had already paid in full for. They stole my money and threatened to call the police on me for refusing to pay more than I was told it would be. You will regret going here. The bad reviews are 100% true. What they are doing here is criminal fraud and should be investigated by the WA state attorney general. Bait and switch pricing is illegal in WA state. Report their fraud to the authorities when it happens to you! I will be. The employees also appear to enjoy blatantly violating consumer protection laws, it's truly disgusting behavior. They seem to think it's funny or amusing. This company started as a nazi taxi service so I'm not surprised.

Renting a car here was easy and fast. We got there and were in our car within minutes. Employee was super helpful and very nice. Drop off was easy as well.

I've been a Sixt Gold member for almost 7 years and it looks like it's going downhill from what it used to be. What initially attracted me was competitive pricing, nice cars (you could often get a free upgrade), quick and knowledgeable staff. What I saw this time wasn't quite up to that standard. We showed up at our pick up time and were told our car (BMW X3) wasn't there yet. We were offered a GMC Acadia or a BMW sedan instead which is not something you'd want to drive if you paid for a premium SUV. We had to wait for an hour until the car finally arrived. The check-in process was very slow even though I booked the car and provided my information online months ago. The staff extended our rent time by an hour but didn't offer anything else to compensate for the wait time and inconvenience which was frustrating. The drop-off was also pretty slow as there was only one employee working the counter and it took forever for people in front of us to get all the car paperwork done. I really liked Sixt but in the world of Turo and Silvercar it makes me less likely to rent from them again in the future.

Why oh why can't the office be called directly? I have a specific call for the Hyatt Regency Seattle branch and NO ONE can answer the call - telling me to ask the branch directly! I can't because there is NO PHONE NUMBER. Sixt answer: We'll put you on an endless hold. This place stinks.
