It's popular for a reason! Enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. Our hotel was in downtown Seattle just a few minutes from Pikes market, so the easiest way for me to get to the Space Needle was to walk to the monorail station just 10 minute walk from my hotel. The monorail goes directly to the Space Needle. I reserved my tickets just 40 minutes ahead of the time I got there. No wait in any line. You first get in the elevator to the top and it's less scary than I thought I would be since you first enter into an inside area. And then you can walk outside. Just stunning views of the Seattle Area. The floor below the top is where the revolving glass is which is super neat.

The Space Needle opened at the 1962 Worlds Fair and since then has become one of the "must do" tourist traps, uh, tourist destinations in Seattle. Tickets can be purchased in combination with other attractions to save money over all. Buy tickets online, at a kiosk on-site, or at the ticket sales office by the elevator entrance at the back. In summer be sure to book your reserved entrance time well in advance. Lockers for your bags are available near the ticket sales office. A security check point before the elevators includes a metal detector and bag search. Valet parking is available at the front entrance or find a lot or garage nearby. A lounge at the top is available by advance reservation only. For our one hundred two dollar entry (for two) we got a ride up to the top and back down again. Here you have 360° views both from inside or outside. You can purchase a poor quality espresso drink (imo), hot cocoa (better) or a sweet or savory pie for twelve dollars each up there. Restrooms are available and are clean. To catch the elevator down, walk down one floor where you can walk on a plexi-glass floor that slowly rotates. There is also a carpeted floor for those who in no way want to feel as though they are defying gravity. This level is where the reservation only lounge is located. Our elevator attendant was obviously in no way enamored with their position. Not rude in any way. When we asked a question they had a ready answer. And it wasn't just them. Every employee we came in contact with seemed to want to be elsewhere. The entire ground floor is a huge gift shop. Good views of Puget Sound at the top. On a previous visit I combined my ticket with the Chihuly glass museum located next door which is excellent.

This Space Needle is an Icon here and each time I come here I must visit and go to the top. I am glad I had the opportunity to visit and made sure that I had enough time in m short schedule to be here with our friends. It is so easily accessible via Monorail from Downtown. We stay just a few blocks away and it's just a 10 minute walk from our hotel. The team members here at any location throughout are friendly and the ticketing process and entry is extremely easy. There were two working elevators to the top and the wait was not long unless you're here on a school vacation day or major holiday. Once at the top you can step outside for 360 degree views of the beautiful City of Seattle, Puget Sound, the Bay, Mount Rainier and other sights. Unfortunately on this trip Mt. Rainier was obscured due to the cloud cover. The elevator ride takes 41 seconds and at least alf the car is taking a movie on their phone. Everyone always seems to have a great time here and love to do their selfies at all the views (all 360 degrees of them.) Make sure you go to the revolving floor and look through the glass below as you turn. This is just a fun place to visit. KUDO's to the team at the Seattle Space Needle.

My best friend and I came here after having dinner at The Loupe Lounge. It was beyond amazing the city's view you get from here. I was also surprised how clean the bathroom and observation deck were. This is a must go to place when visiting Seattle.

This was a nice experience. Loved that we were able to see such a great view of Seattle. It was very crowded (not their fault, popular tourist place) but it made it a little uncomfortable.

This was a pretty cool experience but not my favorite. There really isn't much to do other than look at the view which could be a bit overwhelming with the amount of people squished at the top. Tickets are also extremely expensive, we were able to purchase a bundle that has admission to the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and for about 5 people it was close to $500. It's truly a once in a lifetime experience and the views were breathtaking but not worth the money in my opinion. I also got really dizzy while I was up there so my overall experience wasn't the best.

Got the space needle entrance in a package with the MoPop and the Chihuly Gardens. We scanned out pass and quickly were admitted. They line you up inside and the line moved quickly. They have 2 floors up top -- an indoor spinning observation deck, and and and outdoor view space. It was cool to be able to see the city with a 360 view especially since it was such a clear day. But it was also underwhelming. The space needle is not that high up so compared to other viewing spaces in other cities, this is not as impressive. However we did it as it wad the thing to do and it was just fine. Going to the top may not be necessary but I like doing the touristy thing so I went up.

So I'm not much of a I have to go up the main tourist attraction kind of traveler but this I just could not pass up! We both were excited to check out the space needle because it's unique and just so tall! We went up close to sunset and it was so beautiful! I didn't know they had 3 floors! Top floor is the observation deck where you get the clearest photos and it's outdoors! Second floor is well the restrooms lol and the first floor of the main 3 is the rotating glass floor where there is a restaurant/bar. It was honestly so nice I loved everything about this touristy spot! I would come back here for sure. The people working were so friendly and chatty! I loved the little fun facts they were dropping on the elevator! Thanks so much to all the friendly staff who made this trip so enjoyable!

Super nice staff, took the time to explain everything, not crowded in morning, we had a 9 o'clock entry time. revolving floor is fun, views are incredible from the top, definitely a must go when you're in town. Highly recommend getting bundle ticket deal with Chihuly glass and garden right next door.
