A small crumpet place tucked away at Pike's Public Market. Their selection includes savory and sweet. We got a basic Olde English Cheddar crumpet, their signature Lemon Curd Crumpet and Vermont Crumpet with maple butter and walnuts. The flavors are classic yet exceedingly good. Small seating area so I suggest going first thing in the morning or mid afternoon once lunch has passed. The service is homey and just like walking into a family home.

Other than your quintessential hearing of the phrase "tea and crumpets" over the years and just enjoying the word "crumpet," I'd never had one in my life. So, while in Seattle and in Pike's Place, I figured why not enjoy my morning there by checking out the Crumpet Shop. It's obviously popular, I got the raspberry topped crumpet (I forgot the actual name) and coffee, and it was sufficient. I wouldn't say I was floored in any way but for what it is, it was still yummy. It was a nice enough morning so I sat outside given almost every chair/table was taken up in the shop. This allowed me a wonderful morning view of the gentleman's club across the street. So, I guess you can get every part of the Seattle experience from this location I suppose. Ultimately I think it's a solid spot to pick when being a tourist in Pike's Place in the morning. It was relaxing before I ended up walking around for the morning and enjoying that time in that area of Seattle.

After years of wondering what exactly a crumpet is, I finally got my answer of all places in Seattle. The Crumpet Shop is well known and has a street facing entrance on first ave, so no hilly climb or descent to eat here. We actually stopped in here twice during our stay for breakfast because it was so quick and convenient. I got the smoked salmon cream cheese topped with fresh cucumbers and it was light yet filling at the same time. Also there is endless refills on tea and coffee. My bf got himself a bowl of groats which he enjoyed- he did say it was a bit more sweet than he anticipated so next time he got it he asked to leave out the brown sugar. Definitely would recommend people stop by here if they are near Pike Place. A lot of the other establishments get the shine, but this place is just as deserving.

3.5/5 stars I got the egg, cheese, and tomato crumpet. It was overall enjoyable because I love anything with eggs and cheese! The crumpet itself didn't have much flavor, so maybe a sauce would have been good. It was kind of like a thicker English muffin. It was fun to try, but not sure I would get it again.

I have been wanting to check out the Crumpet Shop at Pike's Place market, because I love crumpets and was curious about having them with a variety of toppings. I was pleasantly surprised with all of the options, sweet and savory. I went for the Vermont option which has cream cheese, maple, and walnuts. It was really good! I also got a Cortada that was pretty good. Everything was very fresh. The only caveat would be that this place is super popular, so it took awhile to get my order. They do have some tables if you want to sit and eat yours there, but I had other places to be!

Another amazing trip to the famous crumpet shop. A big shout out to Stella for her excellent service. And Luke for his excellent attention to detail in the scone wrapping and crumpet preparing. Margo is making some excellent chai and espresso. The energy here is great. The food is fabulous. They've kept the same crumpet recipe. You won't be disappointed. It's well worth the trek from the east side for me. In fact, my British husband says he's never had any better crumpet

We were meeting some friends at the Market before heading to a concert later, and needed a quick bite. The Pesto, Tomato and Parmesan and the Cheese Crumpet really hit the spot for a fast bite. Service was fast and friendly. Seating's at a premium, but we were able to cobble together some chairs at a table outside. The problem with sitting outside is that it can be very crowded on the sidewalk even in a slow day. But it was tasty and worth it.

It was the perfect snack after checking into our hotel, and before taking on Pike Place Market. It's an iconic fixture on 1st Avenue. There are two entrances. The 2nd entrance is across the street and to the left from the famous Public Market sign. It was a shop that I remember seeing on my first business trip to Seattle. I bookmarked it because I didn't want to miss out on it this time around. We both decided to get The Vermont Crumpet. It's aptly named given the ingredients: maple butter, cream cheese, and walnuts. I'm not sure that it's a "Life Changer" but it certainly qualified as a good quality snack on an early afternoon. These crumpets are freshly baked daily. I don't remember the ones in the UK being as good when we were stationed there. Sorry to say. Everyone talks about the tea here. I think it would have been better in the morning. Our iced tea (the Crumpet Shop Blend) was a little bitter, but not a deal breaker. It's a refillable cup. It was actually quite refreshing after walking from our hotel to the Waterfront. The service at the counter was good. We received our order rather quickly. The seating is limited. I'd place a takeout order next time. There's lots of bench seating in designated areas around the market with better views. It's a unique café. I'll give it that. Where else can you get freshly made crumpets outside of Seattle?

I'm really glad I came! I liked both crumpets. The lemon curd and ricotta crumpet was delightful; I liked how loaded with toppings it was. The crumpet with preserve was high quality as well. To drink I ordered the house blend tea and I really liked it. One complaint: the printed laminated menus that you read in line didn't list butter as one of the toppings on the preserve-topped crumpet. BUT IT DOES IN FACT HAVE BUTTER. This is stated in the big menu over the counter, but that menu is only visible after you've already ordered. My lactose intolerant boyfriend ordered it because he thought it would be safe but alas! And so I ate it instead.
