The Terrace Lounge is the first floor bar at the Fairmont. Locals may be hesitant to visit hotel bars, but the setting and drinks here are outstanding. This is an excellent place to drop by and have a drink at an elegant place. Service is absolutely top-notch--the bartender came by often and kept our water glasses filled. I started with this syrah and bourbon mixed drink that was incredible. It was balanced well and fit the atmosphere perfectly. They have really good potato chips as snacks. The wine list is really nice. I finished with a glass of cab.

This is the side bar fo the Fairmont. It was super busy on the Thursday when we were there but we were able to gather up enough chairs for our group of eight. It is expensive to park there ($20), so it is best to get a ride or walk when you are visiting there. The bar itself is in the corner of a beautiful lobby. It was sad to see though that the leather chairs and sofas have seen better days. The sofas have worn through to the foam and the chairs have tears in them. The bar is busy so beware that during the 6PM rush that you should be patient. It took 20 minutes for our wine and martinis to arrive. And we never did get the peanuts and snacks over the course of our hour there. Net, net, this is a decent place if you are in the hotel, just make sure that you are not in a rush.

This is a very good place for dating and or hang out. They have live music on Friday nights around 9 PM. I highly recommend the blue bahama martini which is not on the menu. It's a great place at Fairmont Olympic hotel.

Whaaaaat! Why has it taken me so long to actually sit here in the Terrace Lounge to enjoy a cocktail and some small bites? On a warm day this is one of the best spots to be. It's cool and clean and quiet. Perfect for putting your feet up and having a nice chilled adult beverage or three. I met with a friend to chat about work stuff and ordered an Old Fashioned. We also had some complimentary bar bites which consisted of a tasty snack mix and crisp, crunchy potato chips. Looking at the menu we also couldn't resist a few other items: -Duck Fat Fries with a chorizo aioli and black sea salt for just $5 - Smoked candied salmon bites with a lemon dipping sauce. Also just $5! Service was prompt and polite, my water was refilled over and over, and before calling it a day we heard about the apiary that the hotel has onsite and decided we absolutely had to try the Pike Brewing honey ale beer made with the honey from the hotel's very own bees. It was delicious! Before leaving I was already on my phone text messaging no fewer than three friends telling them we have to come back. Sometimes it's easy to forget about hotel bars and restaurants when you're a native but this is not one to be overlooked. I felt special being there and can't wait to come back again soon.

I can't believe it took me this long to review the Terrace Lounge. I've been coming here for the soufflé since sophomore year of college... Oh God I'm old... What have I done with my life? Where is that Manhattan loft and Ivy League MBA I'm supposed to have by now? Anyway I digress, the Terrace Lounge is my happy place. The soufflé is bomb.com and the place is gorgeous. Think the Great Gatsby meets hanging gardens of Babylon. I would like to live here. Cool factoid: This Fairmont Olympic hotel occupies the space that was formerly the first UW Campus. The Terrace Lounge is an open lounge area outside of the Georgian. They have happy hour 3-6pm and late night bites until 12am (according to their menu). The burger is quite good but I haven't tried much else from the menu. They have a very good mixologist from what I've heard but I don't think I've ever consumed a single alcoholic beverage here. The souffle is so good, I want to be 100% sober for it. It takes 20 minutes to prepare but totally worth the wait, plus, that gives you a chance to soak in the ambiance. They have a pianist on the weekends, making the experience that much better. Somehow I never feel out of place in shorts and flip flops here. Coming to the Terrace Lounge is like stepping into another world, it's always a treat. Great spot for drinks and desserts with the girls, or for a quiet date night. No need for a reservation, just walk in and seat yourself. PS. Souffle is only available Tuesday - Saturday, when the Georgian is open.

Stayed at the Fairmount hotel and was excited to check out the terrace lounge happy hour, thinking I'd be enjoying a summer breeze on an outdoor terrace. The name is very misleading as the "lounge" is mere steps away from the lobby slash reception. That said, they have some nice drink specials, including $8 martinis. My lavender martini was yummy although a little sweet. Didn't try any of the food. Definitely a more professional after-work crowd here. Very dignified.

Great place to grab a martini if you find yourself in the only 5 star hotel in Seattle or at least near to it. I usually don't find myself in the Fairmont but if I am close to this place I will make an effort to stop in. Very nice, small, quiet place and a great area to unwind after a busy day. Their mixed drinks are excellent as well as their servers/bartenders. The appetizers and food are very tasty and surprisingly not expensive as one would think eating in an establishment such as this. The interior of this hotel is also amazing and worth just coming in to view the architecture. For some reason I just really like this place. Check it out when you want something on the quiet-side.

My absolute favorite place to come for happy hour Friday evenings for several reasons. This is the right place to go if you don't want to be in a loud atmosphere but still around high energy. If you have never tried a GREAT lavender martini - come here!!! Also, if you are lucky, you might have the opportunity to meet the creator, Michael. Michael is just the "cherry on top" to a fabulous experience here :)

Wonderful bar in the Fairmont Hotel. The bartenders are so nice and professional. They have a nice selection of wine, beer & cocktails and a fun happy hour. They also have complimentary snacks and comfortable group seating. If you're staying in the hotel, this is a great bar to meet up with friends and colleagues.
