Conrad and the rest of the team were all very kind and extremely helpful! If you're in Seattle, they are definitely one of the better places to rent equipment from--super friendly staff who will even give you a tutorial on how to use any and all of the gear they keep in-house. 10/10 would recommend!

I was looking for a place to transfer film to digital--- years of memories that are priceless to a family. I wanted to go to a place where I could deliver in person. The estimate was accurate and well worth the cost. We have everything on several formats-- DVDs, DV tape and on a hard drive. Everyone was pleased with the results. They answered all my stupid questions and treated this project as important.

I recently heard several audio productions for NPR that were recorded and mastered in your studio. As a recording engineer of many years, I was very much impressed with the quality of your product. The voices and original music were open, airy, and crystal clear. The room was tight and free of any extraneous reverb. Were I to be planning a project, your studio would be my first choice.

When I was studying video production I had the opportunity to tour Victory Studio's and was amazed by the up to date equipment, spacious studio's size, and professionalism of the staff. I did not realize I was in one of the few professional shooting locations in western Washington. I have since worked with Victory crew at venues and streaming media for business events. Located in Magnolia (the city side of the railroad) the studios are available for various professional video shoots, streaming's, and editing. They have worked with a variety of film and television companies as well as corporations (Washington is mainly corporate media shooting). Equipment is also available for your offsite shooting as well as technicans for technical support. If you want to shoot that underground movie and are use to bartering for space Victory might not be for you. With the professional atmosphere you will be paying professional prices (well worth it).

This place really is great. I Victory make some DVDs for me. Not only did they do a great job, but the price to do the job was the best in town. Before having them do the job I got pricing from a few smaller places around town who's quality is inferior. I figured these places would be cheaper, but they weren't. Not only that, but Victory apparently hires good people. Every person I've ever delt with ther is friendly and does not make you feel the least bit stupid if you ask a dumb technical question. Victory Studios is awesome and I hope I have more excuses to use their services :)

There are very few full service and fully equipped studios in the dying Seattle film industry but this is the best of them all. Victory has everything from a professionally staffed equipment rental department to HD editing bays, sound mastering facilities, green screen studio and more. Whatever your production needs you will find it at Victory Studios. Talk to Adam in rentals for great deals and check out their newest catalogs they always have the best equipment at great prices. I personally use Victory about twice a month on my productions and they always treat us well.

I am very pleased to have spent money here; these folks are pro, all the way. I had a box of old family Super-8 movies I wanted digitised. After a hair-raisingly bad experience with another outfit in Seattle (I was lucky to escape with my originals undamaged!), I got wind of Victory and decided to give them a go. The result was utterly boring, in all the ways such a transaction should be: the work was done completely, correctly, on time, and within the quote. No hassle, no drama, no excuses, no BS; just knowledgeable, professional, careful work and courteous, efficient service. These people deserve your business. They will certainly get mine again whenever the need should arise.

You can't miss the giant V but you'll be surprised when you step inside at just how much of today's technology and film resources they've got from floor to ceiling. If you come to Victory with your project, expect to pay a professional price, but your results will be worth every penny as they are produced by professionals in a professional studio.

My experience paralleled that of Karl D. My sister and I thought to surprise our dad by transferring his stack of 8mm (not Super-8, old-school tiny-emulsion 8) home movies for Christmas. After sneaking the reels home with me on a visit, I searched for a place to do digitization. Someone suggested Mal-Wart aka Sam's Club, Costco, etc., which I rulled out for the usual reasons (Mal-Wart intrinsic evilness, not trusting the process). I especially wanted the reels to be handled by someone local, someone I could interact with directly so that nothing would be botched in translation. I also did not want to trust these priceless memories to be shipped. So I asked the g00gl3 about local places that do transfers and came across two, a mom+pop outfit (perhaps is the one that Karl D writes of), and Victory (past whom I drive all the time). I called both, expecting the former to be friendly and folksy and Victory to give me the cold shoulder because I just some schmuck with a bunch of OOF frames from Sea World in 1971 instead of their usual corporate/professional type of client with a 4/5-figure job. I was startled by how reversed I had it. The mom+pop outfit phone got me voicemail, where I left a message with the basics. They never bothered calling me back. Victory had to look up the costs for me, and were very patient -- my sister would be writing the check, and I needed to be able to give her a credible idea of cost. I was a bit apprehensive walking in with my reels, but I was connected with Ian, who at every step treated me professionally, and was never once dismissive. He gave me a printed estimate that ended up being very accurate. The price was 2-3x what I had initially guessed before talking to them. Since the other outfit couldn't be bothered to even talk to me, I honestly have no idea if Victory was price-competitive, expensive, or what. I remembered all sorts of projector-snags as a kid, my dad splicing whenever a reel would jam and the lamp melted a frame or two. They had been stored in the attic for some time, so I was also a bit apprehensive re physical condition. Ian told me that if they ran across damage that impacted their task that a [reasonable] charge for bench time might be added on -- in the end they didn't seem to have any issues and did not charge me for such. One reel's transfer shows a couple of stutters, but nothing to be upset about. I had expected a "this is what we do, it costs $XXX, take it or leave it" experience. I did not have one. I got the impression that corporate customers often take delivery on a USB disk that Victory charges for, but I really needed to not add to the cost of my project. Ian cheerfully wrote my files onto a pair of CF cards that I provided, and had no problem with me also sending a FireWire reader/writer since he wasn't sure that they had one. I'm very pleased with the transfer quality and with the service I received overall. The only slight disappointment was the DVD's I had them author -- the menus are very vanilla, something Icould have done myself with Toast.
