Back again for dinner with my granddaughter her husband and her two babies. My four-year-old and two-year-old great granddaughters. I'm getting to like this place. It's my second time in a week. the food is good. The service is great. The two babies love them mac & cheese and today they both ended with vanilla ice cream. You can always see pictures of the food, but I'd like to include a couple of satisfied customers.SalE. New Rochelle

I've been a regular customer at Fountain Diner and always order the same thing -- the California Panini. But this last visit was terrible. The bread and chicken were so hard they were nearly inedible. It was clear the food wasn't fresh and nowhere near the usual quality. I called right away and was told I'd be credited on my credit card, but the refund never came. I followed up twice the next day. When I finally spoke to the owner, Philip, instead of apologizing, he raised his voice at me and was extremely unprofessional. He said he would "take care of it," but still nothing has been done. After how I was treated, I won't be returning -- and I wouldn't recommend Fountain Diner to anyone. Bad food and even worse customer service.

Came here for lunch w/ my cousin & our friend. Waiter came a couple minutes after we were seated & asked if we would like something to drink. Im basic I ordered water w/ lemon. Then when he came w/ the drinks we ordered he asked if we were ready to order. The rest of my party was but I wasn't. The menu is so huge I didn't know where to begin. I ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup & grilled cheese w/ ham. My soup was fresh & homemade. It came w/ fresh chicken & vegetables. The grilled cheese & ham came out hot w/ a side of Cole slaw & a pickle. The grilled cheese w/ ham tasted off i don't know what it was. That's why I gave them 4 stars instead of five. The cole slaw though was so fresh & delicious. I'm a huge cole slaw critic. Waiter & bus boy were very attentive & friendly. Inside is what your basic diners looks like. Nothing spectacular.

This is the spot the fam goes to before starting our roadtrip, the service is fast , they get you in and out, the menu is big, plenty to choose from, the place is big and average roomy, their desert are delicious. My kid loves the hash brown. I enjoy their burgers and the mrs. Loves their breakfast sampler. Til next time .

Late Sunday morning we sat outside for breakfast. We experienced great service and beautiful weather! The food was delicious albeit a bit pricey. They also don't have any breakfast combos where you can get a little bit of everything so that was disappointing. The hash browns were crispy and delicious. Quesadilla pretty-pretty good. Hub loved his bacon cheddar omelette and chocolate chip pancakes. Know that if you go here you will pay less if you pay in cash I think they add a 3.5% charge to your bill if you don't. It was a positive experience for me and I would return. I definitely appreciate that the outdoor seating is still available.

I have not eaten here in a few years but it is better than ever. I had the spinach and feta cheese pie with phyllo crust and Greek salad (an extra $3.95 on the $14.95 ') pie'. So delicious, lovely diner service, that means cozy, personal and you feel welcome. I ordered a serving to take home and reqlozed they also had a $20 brook Trout Almondine so I took a dinner home with me; while fish baked with butter and almonds, matzoh ball soup with chicken and noodles, bread and vegetable and potato. Definitely going again.
