If I could give this place six stars, I would -- one extra for the fact that they use ghee instead of those soul-sucking industrial seed oils that make your stomach feel like it's been through a gas station fryer. The saags? A green velvet hug for your tastebuds. The Amul butter chicken? Honestly, I'm not sure if it's legal to be this good -- every bite is like the culinary equivalent of being wrapped in a warm blanket fresh from the dryer. This restaurant is proof that when you cook with real ingredients, have quaint, cute decor, you don't need gimmicks, foam, or "deconstructed" anything. You just need ghee, skill, and enough flavor to make you consider naming your firstborn after the chef. If you're looking for Indian food that loves you back -- run, don't walk. And wear stretchy pants. Don't forget to order extra, because let me tell you, leftovers are even more delicious.

We've eaten at NH44 many times. I love the variety they serve, which spans all of India. We find their samosa chat and kung foo gobi consistently great shareable appetizers. I've also enjoyed their various chicken and lamb dishes. This trip, however, while the flavor of the chicken saag was delicious, the breasts themselves were quite over-cooked and dry. The experience reminded me that we had a similar experience the last time we dined at NH44, about four months ago. This restaurant is generally so delicious. I'm hoping the kitchen rethinks their cooking times, because dried out chicken takes away from what otherwise is an excellent Indian restaurant.

We ordered Samosas to start it came with two sauces. One was spicy and flavorful. For our entrees we had mild Chicken Tikka Masala. It was a creamy tomato sauce and the portions were perfect. To accompany the Chicken Tikka Masala we had Garlic Naan! That is a MUST ORDER! The service and the decorations in the restaurant were amazing!

Had dinner here for the first time last night and I'll start by saying the service was impeccable and the folks that work there are so kind and friendly. We each had a different glass of wine, all happy with our choices, then ordered an array of mostly vegetarian dishes. I loved the paneer main and the samosa chaat and then the black lentils...so good. Really everything was, I also really loved the serving dishes. Dessert time came and I mentioned I'm always too full so I've never tried any and out server brought out a small dessert for us to just try and that touch was really so sweet (literally, and delicious). I loved the cozy atmosphere, I will absolutely be back.

Fabulous spot for good Indian food. The vibe is authentic. When you walk in, you can smell the curry in the air. It reminds me of Murray Hill in the city where there are Indian spots everywhere and the smell of fresh curry lingers in the air. I love that smell. NH44 is the national highway of India going from north to southeast. I love places where the name has a deeper meaning. The Chicken Tikka Masala is really good. It comes out really hot and stays hot. It's full of flavor. Highly recommend. 9/10 The Lamb Jalfrezi was excellent. I liked it even better than the tikka masala. 10/10 The Rogan Josh was pretty good and had a nice kick to it. This was more of a kick to it and was more hot spice than spice flavor. 8/10. The service here is excellent. I highly recommend this spot if you are interested in authentic Indian cuisine. Disappointing food and flavors I ordered via UberEats and got the kungfu gobi, the paneer tikka masala, a laccha parantha, and an onion naan Let's start with the pros - The food came well packaged and therefore still warm - The portion sizes were decent and they were generous with the amount of paneer in the paneer tikka masala Now on to the cons - the food was awful in flavor. The gobi was extremely sweet and almost syrupy when it came to the sauce it was coated in - The paneer tasted like Shaan masala right out of the masala packet. The flavors had not been cooked or developed at all. I almost felt sick after a while (no food quality issues; just the yuckiness) - The laccha parantha wasn't a parantha at all. It was a laccha tandoori roti as you can see from the picture - The onion naan was fine. A bit burned in the middle but that happens with the tandoor occasionally Overall, a very disappointing experience. I picked this place over other local options due to the high rating. But would not order again.

This is a really great Indian restaurant with high quality food, amazing flavors and really attentive staff in a really colorful, nice space. We ordered several appetizers and a few entrees and they were all great- they don't skimp on the flavors or the spice! The Kundapur Chicken- with its abundance of flavor (curry leaves! Mustard seeds!) was a highlight. But don't skip on the raita, mango chutney or onion chili- all their sauces are fresh and a great addition to the meal. When i raves about how much I loved them, I may have found extras in my take-out bag.

I had a very nice dining experience here. We started with the Samosa Chaat and The kung fu Gobi appetizers. Wow! The appetizers were amazing. The Rich tamarind and mint sauce accompanying the samosas were extremely delicious and tangy. Loved it! The cauliflower was crunchy in a nice sweet-and-sour sauce. Just perfect. For entrées, we ordered the chicken. Kundapur and chicken curry. both were done well but we liked the Kundapur better. The garlic naan that we ordered was Krispy yet fluffy and delicious. Service was good and Overall, we enjoyed our dinner.
