Quite possibly not just the worst sushi, but the worst food I've ever had in my life! The young woman in front was friendly and seemed nice, but had zero knowledge about the food. She called the sushi "chef" (that's a stretch in this case!) several times to answer questions. I asked if there were any spicy rolls, and he suggested a few, but they all contained imitation crab, which I find unappetizing. I finally settled on a Spicy Salmon Roll and a Soft Shell Crab Roll. I also ordered a Miso Soup. The Miso Soup arrived first, and it was a very watered-down version of Miso Soup with no umami. I stopped and pushed it aside after a couple of spoonfuls. The rolls arrived, and I was about to ask for wasabi and pickled ginger when I noticed these little pre-packaged plastic bags of wasabi and pickled ginger. I should have left then . . . a big mistake to stay. I started on the Spicy Salmon Roll. One bite and I knew I wouldn't enjoy it. I've never tasted such a mediocre take on sushi rolls. I ate two pieces because I was hungry, but it was all I could stomach. I looked at the Soft Shell Crab Roll and noticed that it contained imitation crab. I called the young woman over, and of course, she went and got the "chef". I told him that I didn't recall seeing imitation crab in the description of the roll on the menu. He said he'd make me a fresh batch without the imitation crab. The replacement roll came, and there were little red bits of something sprinkled on top of each slice. I called the young woman over and asked her what it was. She insisted that it was tobiko. Honey, I'm from California, and I know tobiko when I see it. This ain't tobiko. I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Again, another big mistake. I took a bite and quickly spat it out because my chest suddenly felt constricted. I started coughing, and tears began streaming down my face. My mouth felt like there had been a chemical explosion, and I had trouble breathing. I called the girl over again and, with a raspy voice, asked her what was in the roll. Of course, she called the "chef", and instead of answering my question, he told me he would refund me for the roll. My curiosity got the better of me. I was pretty certain it was the little red bits of "tobiko" that caused the reaction I had, so I scraped them off the next roll and removed the piece of soft shell crab, ate it, and it was fine. I braved myself and took a bite of the roll with the "tobiko", and had the same reaction as before. That was it. I'd had enough of this wannabe sushi joint. I gathered my things, told the young woman this was the worst food I've ever had, and left. That was such a frightening experience. The pain in my chest subsided after an hour or so, but my voice remained raspy for the rest of the day. I will never go back and wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. How this place garnered 4.4 stars is beyond me. Giving it 1 star is being overly generous!

This place is little more than mediocre takeout disguised as a sit down meal. Food was very overpriced for what it is. I ordered Hibachi steak and shrimp and what I got had a strong resemblance to beef and broccoli takeout from anywhere. Food was already cooked and ready to be heated and served so it was quick. The rice was bland and the flimsy plastic fork they gave me was almost unusable.

Delicious sushi for a good price, and located close to my home. Perfect for a lunch date or take out at home! My husband and I stopped in a few months ago, and we enjoyed it so much that we did take out for New Year's Eve. We chose Tree City, Yummy, Dragon, and Mini Volcano rolls. Don't skip out on this absolute gem!

Nori Sushi & Grill is new restaurant in Fitchburg. It's cute place that serves delicious sushi. The place is compact and clean. Great for takeout or casual dine in. I love that they all the sushi rolls on display and you can pick and choose what you want. You can order by pieces. They require minimum six pieces to complete an order. It was nice to mix n match and try different sushi rolls. We had the avocado roll, yummy roll, crazy spicy roll , and phoenix rolls. All the rolls were freshly prepared and tasted amazing. They have a nice selection of special rolls, can't wait to go back and try the other rolls on their menu . They also have yakisoba and hibachi available. We had the chicken and shrimp hibachi and that was so tasty. The portion size is good and can be share. Great first experience at Nori. Check it and enjoy yummy sushi, hibachi and yakisoba. Highly recommend !

Already precooked sushi which is just mediocre is what we got! Less than a restaurant quality sushi !! Good service though !

I love that they have many prepared sushi pieces ready-to-go. This concept is new to me, and I was impressed! We ordered 6 pieces each of Crab Roll and California Roll. Yum, they were some of the best sushi we've ever tasted. And the fastest for sure. To round out our lunch we shared a vegetable Japanese Fried Rice. The serving was HUGE and loaded with broccoli, zucchini, onion, carrots and peas. It was delicious and totally satisfying. Can hardly wait to return to Nori Sushi & Grill.

I'm almost hesitant to recommend this place because they are getting busier all the time and it may result in waiting times, of which there are practically none and higher prices, which I would support anyway. Funny thing is that I rarely order sushi, evem though it's excellent. The Nori salad is amazing and has become my go- to meal. It's amazing how quickly they can prepare some of the freshest, tastiest food at a reasonable price. It is a very plain looking place in a strip mall, so maybe it puts off people trying to impress a date, but it could impress the kind of person you want to date beyond first appearances.

Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat, and was happily surprised by their selection of sushi! You can get a full specialty roll (8 pieces) for $14, or make your own custom sushi selection at $1.75 a piece (so if you get 8, it comes out to $14 as well!) I've never been to a place where the a la carte selection is the same as standard. Took the opportunity to get 8 different pieces of sushi to try them out, and they were all really good and fresh. My favorites were the spider roll and the crab roll. It seems like they primarily do takeout, but we're more than happy for me to eat in the restaurant. I was able to have a nice conversation with the incredibly friendly front of house. They offer hibatchi as well, but not the kind you can watch being made in front of you. So if you just want a good meal without all that rigamarole, this place is for you! I'll definitely be stopping by here again

Nori sushi and grill is awesome! Went here Sunday night with some friends and we enjoyed our sushi very much. They allow you to mix and match rolls which is a plus! Loved the chicken hibachi and fried rice as well. The staff is SUPER friendly. I definitely recommend!!
