This is not about the service. The guy at the window was very nice. This is only about the new entrees, the PICKLE EVERYTHING! I did ask for fries; I didn't realize when he asked if I wanted the fried Pickles, that my fries were gone. They would have probably been the on,y really edible part of this lunch. 1) pickle lemonade was mostly pickle water. Strong Lemons would have actually made this a unique drink. But diluted pickle water with a way-back hint of lemon fails. " Hope you like it, " the server said. I laughed. Live and learn, I add more lemon to finish the drink since I was curious about the pickle influence. 2) the sandwich. I don't eat at Popeyes very often, but the pickles drew me in. I got a sandwich. It was 20% chicken, 40% over cooked breading ( not burnt, but the consistency of sand), and 40% bread, seasoning, and a pickle. As a sandwich, I didn't find enough chicken over breading so 4/10. Sauce was okay , but forgettable. 3) Most importantly, the fried pickles that I received. Now I've eaten fried pickles at bars and state fairs. They are wonderful! The crispy batter and the salty crispy pickle are the best! They need to be made fresh for every serving to achieve this. Popeyes ignored this. Popeyes fried pickles that I received clearly had sat under the heat lamp for a while. They were nearly inedible. I ate 2. A few minutes later, I ate another and spat it out. Threw away the rest. Nasty, soggy batter. Flavorless, limp, circle of something slimy that cooked under the heat lamps. (please don't) yeah naw. Skip this unless you see they just fresh fried the pickles.

New restaurant on Odana Rd. Small menu, not many choices. Nobody was at the counter taking orders. We waited a while. A boy came out from the back after a girl bagging orders told him to help us. I asked him if the sweet and spicy sauce was hot he said he didn't know. The chicken is heavily coated and deep fried. The chicken was dry and tasteless. That's ok if that's how you like your chicken. Cajun fries weren't spicy. Not our best meal.

Never had a problem until today. The chicken was good until I pick up the chicken thigh and bit into it, there was a long piece of hair sticking out of the chicken. Completely disgusting!!! Please wear a hair net. And for that reason I won't be back.

Shocked I had not updated this sooner. You literally have to ask for FRESH Seafood items. * This means if you don't have to wait for your food item/s they cooked it a while ago and now it's stale. Friends joke (seriously though) that Popeyes will serve you fries from earlier today versus dropping More. * Well, I never cared BEFORE because I never ordered fries, but now that they have gotten rid of onion rings (which were always made to order)..... Baybeee... These fries will be ice box cold next to hot shrimp. Plus, the beans have some sort of pork skin or something from the under carriage so I dropped beans back in 2017. Skip the popcorn shrimp. Butterfly only. They don't offer fish around here, but if you get the option grab it. The receipt has a survey offer, but do believe the low scores seem to impact nothing. They perform differently during the opening shift with certain managers around than during the day or night. They are trying to speed things up during covid-19 as the wait isn't as long as it used to be but the 2 stars stem from three (3) separate visits with stale popcorn shrimp, ages chicken and the most recent cold fries with hot butterfly shrimp. I had to what all the hype was about Popeye's famous chicken sandwich. When I ordered at the drive-thru I asked the order-taker which chicken sandwich (Classic or Spicy) was the most popular? She resisted at first, then finally said Classic, so that's what I ordered. I was impressed with the side order choices beyond just French fries. I ordered Rice and Beans as my side and lemonade for my drink. The meal deal was only $6.99....great value! I found the Classic Chicken Sandwich very good. The meat was thick and juicy. Probably one of the best fast-food chicken sandwiches for sure. I don't see why people are obsessed with it, however. Then again maybe it's the Spicy version that is addictive? Next time. The lemonade was refreshing and tangy. The Rice and Beans was average, but hit the spot anyway. It was a welcome change.

The hype is real for the chicken sandwich! But I would wait no more than a 15-20 minute. Lucky for us Madisonians, the wait time is not long at all, even on a weekend, so I would highly recommend you go to this location! The location was clean, lots of seating space and parking, servers were very nice, and the food came out quickly and hot. No complaints here. My sandwich contained a very generous serving of chicken, about double the size of the bread, which is exactly what you want. The chicken was a still crunchy on the outside but super juicy on the inside. It came out piping hot, straight out of the fryer. The sauce and pickles gave it this tangy flavor and the spiciness level was just right. Each bite was better than the last. Pro-tip: Get extra sauce on the sandwich, you won't regret it. Also the combo meal is a very decent deal with a side and drink for around $6. I always get the mashed potatoes with cajun gravy. I like to mix some pepper and the popeyes hotsauce in the potatoes to bring some smoke and heat.

Lunch had to be fried chicken and this place is the bomb. Didn't care for the Mac n cheese I order last visit, so instead went for the mashed potato's and gravy and it was as hoped. Really good. In fact because it was so small I wanted to cry. No, but I was certainly bummed out. The spicy fried chicken, supreme. Freshly fried, so crackling and crispy. The biscuit, well, because I had some really good quality butter, it was tolerable. But unless I was able to possibly get an order of biscuits and gravy, with the gravy they served me, I would bother eating it. Maybe next time I'll check for that to be something that is offered, I'd certainly chow that down. Fast service at at the lunch rush. Another solid!

Man, oh, man! I'm on contract here in Madison and the thing I miss most about New Orleans is the Popeyes. I can't remember the last time Popeyes tasted THIS good. Though this is my second time ordering from this restaurant, they have not disappointed me! In my hometown, they skimp you on the tenders, giving you either half a chicken strip or giving you a fried piece of crust and calling it a tender. I was craving a burger, but unfortunately, the restaurant couldn't receive my order and I had to starve for 2 more hours. I wasn't in the mood for chicken, but I went with what I knew. I ordered the 5 piece spicy tenders with red beans and a Hawaiian punch. The delivery was on time and I was texted when the order was left in the lobby. This past time, my delivery person sent a text and a picture of where he left the food. When I opened the box, there were several glorious chicken tenders. Huge, even! I really enjoyed my meal. The red beans were filled to the rim and still hot. Sooo tasty! Will definitely order again after these positive experiences.

Popeyes is the king of chicken sandwiches hands down! Their chicken is thick and juicy with a crunchy crumbly crust, and the bread is soft and warm. I pair it with a large sweet tea. My kids love the mild chicken tenders with biscuits and Cajun fries. The drive through line is always long here, but it's worth it!!
