I cannot say enough good things about the staff this hotel. They are professional, genuinely caring, friendly and do not hesitate to go above and beyond. They truly offer a 5 star level of service. On the first day of my 5 day visit I had an accident and broke my ankle. The front desk staff received and fulled assembled (competently, I might add) the knee scooter my family had delivered to the hotel and brought it up to me. And expressed multiple times how happy they were to be able to help. They also thoughfully provided me with extra towels, extra pillows for elevating my ankle, and a shower stool. They also called my when my delivery from Walmart arrived and delived that to my door as well. They shuttled me (and my scooter) back and forth to Epic the rest of the week, and the shuttle drivers are outstanding. Each of them kind, funny and great to talk to, as well as fantastic at making sure I felt safe entering and exiting the vechicle in my hobbled state. I would like to give a special shout out to Sean, who saw me rearranging my car in preparation to travel in the parking lot and immediately approached me to make sure I was getting the assistance I needed. He packed all of my stuff on the lugged cart for me, brought it down to the parking lot and packed my car up for me as well, checking with me for the location I wanted each item. I have stayed a lot of places in my time, and I have never seen a hotel staff shine so brightly. And they were also kind and friendly with each other, I was able to watch them working a few times while I waited (briefly- they are also fast) and their coordination and teamwork was obvious. I am so glad I got a chance to speak the manager about her wonderful team. Additionally, my room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the amenities were very nice. Another thing, I was on the 2nd floor of a packed house and it was QUIET. Though I was tired after my crazy week, I almost didn't want to go home due to the hotel staff making things as easy for me as possible. THANK YOU, Holiday Inn and Suites Madison Central.

My fiancé and I stayed here for a friend's wedding and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the customer service provided by the staff was excellent! I loved their free shuttle service (you can go anywhere within 3 miles of the hotel) and used it to go to the zoo while waiting for my fiancé to arrive. The breakfast was good and I loved the fruit water that they provided each day.

Got me out of a pinch. We stayed here to attend the UW Badger softball camp. We checked out, attended camp and intended to drive home. While at camp we were told about a tryout for an elite team in our area. We need to print out medical waivers and forms. Stopped by the hotel on the way out of town. Explained we had already checked out, but we needed some help. The young man at the front desk printed everything for us, and we drove to tryouts. Thanks a million!

If you follow me you know I give all Holiday Inn hotels a 3 star rating. It would need to be an above and beyond to get a 4 and a disappointment to get a 2. So my 3 stars for this hotel is nothing bad. The hotel seems fairly new. The rooms are done in the current decor for this chain. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. Even during the COVID era the pool and fitness room are open. The hotel is right off the freeway with many restaurants to choose from within a short drive. Pizzeria Uno is right across the street. Ok, so I have to say one bad thing to make this review legit. Once in awhile you may hear a truck on the freeway. It's not like a constant roar of traffic but more of a deceleration for the ramp. That's the only negative I had. Therefore, the next time I am in Madison I will probably be staying here again.

This Holiday Inn Express is a very nice hotel for the money! It has all of the amenities of a top-notch chain hotel, and even a few premium amenities, but at prices you'd expect from a budget hotel. You can pay a lot more to get a nicer hotel experience in the area, and you can pay a lot less for a really basic hotel room - but this is probably the sweet spot in the area. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Madison Central is easy to get to a little ways off of US 18, and just a few hundred yards away from the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. You're within walking distance from the Alliant Energy Center campus, the Turville Point Conservation Park, and Turville Bay. From our room window, I could see into Turville Point Conservation Park. You're just a few minutes away from various restaurants and shopping, and between 10 ~ 15 minutes of downtown Madison (depending on traffic and weather). Guest parking was free, and they offer shuttle service to various hotspots in the Madison area. Although they are close to several big intersections, the interior of the hotel is nice and quiet. The back-side patios are also fairly quiet, shielded from the road noise by the main building. When you walk in, you are greeted by a very stylish lobby featuring some decorative cow heads and bookshelves filled with some decent reads. The check-in desk is prominent and well-staffed, allowing for several groups to check in at once during peak hours. They have a small concession area, where you can get snacks and creature comforts - the friendly Holiday Inn Express staff will also provide guests with a number of complementary toiletries upon request. The dining area is clean and spacious, serving complementary coffee and tea during most daylight hours. in the mornings, they offer guest a generous breakfast buffet that is prepared quite nicely. The dining area and buffet table is spaced out nicely, so there's a good flow to it - no traffic jams while trying to load up on eggs and biscuits. They offer a nice selection of cereals, instant oatmeal, fruit, baked goods, yogurt, juice and milk. Even after the buffet is closed, they have continental breakfast offerings for folks sleeping in late. All of the common areas are kept clean, are well lit, and have nice places to sit quietly or with a small group. The gym and pool are both well maintained, featuring quality equipment. It was very nice having a heated indoor pool, with lounge chairs, that was open until 11pm. The fitness room was open 24 hours, and appeared to be meticulously cleaned. Although small; the fitness room had two elliptical machines, a treadmill, stationary bikes, a nice selection of dumbbell weights, and a TV with remote. The elevators were all very modern, quickly and quietly gliding up and down the various floors. Our suite was very spacious, featuring nice new furnishings, which was very comfortable to stay in. The PTAC unit appeared to be virtually brand new, and helped keep our room very cool and pleasantly dry. In the sitting area, they have a small sofa with chaise lounge, that converts into a bed. For a steel-framed convertible bed, it was fairly comfortable. The bedroom featured two nice twin beds with a quality mattress and plush bedding. There were plenty of free electrical plugs to power your electronics, throughout the room. The bathroom was small, but efficient, featuring plenty of counter space and excellent lighting. The toilet has a nice flush to it, and the shower get very good water pressure. The water is very soft here, so use caution when showering - it can get very slippery while soaping up, and it takes a few passes to rinse it all away. I've only stayed in Madison a few times (and several of those times were in a tent), but this was the nicest hotel I've been to in the area. There are certainly other nearby hotels that are even nicer, but cost much more per night. There are cheaper options, but they don't offer nearly as many amenities or such quality. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Madison Central has the perfect balance of top-quality features and value pricing, for those looking for a nice stay without breaking the bank.

WOW!! Words cannot describe this place!! Wonderful! The staff is amazing and the BIGGEST shout out to Sandy.Your personality rocks girl!! :) Talk about an amazing human who not only loves her job but is so passionate about the city she lives in. I had a few hours to spare before my next meeting and asked her what's around. Talk about knowledge, passion, and great places she recommended to see and get coffee at. The complementary breakfast every morning was topnotch as well even down to the smell when you walk in the door. If you are ever in the area and need a place to stay.... This is it right here! Oh and you just might see your friendly neighborhood turkey roaming the parking lot.

Incredible! The level of customer service is simply at a level rarely found anymore. From front desk to the shuttle driver they were serving with a wonderful, helpful attitude. The shuttle will get you from the airport but will also take you and retrieve you from anywhere it seemed. From a football game, to restaurants, to a park. The hotel was immaculate. They are located NOT in downtown and I was concerned about the amount of ride sharing I'd have to use (I did not rent a car) but the shuttle basically replaced my need to "Uber".

My first stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Madison, WI and let me say that the excellent customer service is 10000000 percent and second to none. Christopher ( the front desk clerk) you are a gem to the company and you made my check-in super easy, professional, and proficient. I have officially made this hotel my "go to" every time I visit Madison. I am overly impressed by the room size, cleanliness, and comfortable bed. The room did NOT have a funky stuffy old smell which is something I look for immediately! I have traveled around the nation and overseas. I must admit, I am a hotel snob and I check every part of the room.... I even check to see if the bed sheets have been replaced or just made over again without replacement. I have checked in to a hotel several and turned back around the same day and checked out again because of the smell of dogs and "other" odors . This was not the case, I was well pleased with my stay here. Kudos to Christopher and the hotel staff, thank you for your hospitality!!

I was there for 2 weeks for Epic training by myself. This was the first time I have travelled alone and the staff was absolutely amazing. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. They made sure I was taken anywhere I needed to go. They were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great as was the wine and cheese in the evenings. I especially want to thank Sam, Roz, Garry, Amy, Sandy,Alex, Joe, Christopher, housekeeping and the rest of the staff for making my stay enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're ever in Madison.

Excellent hotel in Madison, WI. Centrally located to everything in the area. Only a ten minute drive to downtown and all of Madison's attractions and restaurants. Next to a very nice park on lake with a nice view - from the park - of the downtown and Capital building across the lake. The hotel is extremely new and everything is clean and perfectly in its place. From the room, bathroom, lobby, eating area, and hallways, you get a sense that the entire hotel is well designed, well managed, and well maintained. All of the staff were accessible and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and will be staying here in the future when visiting Madison.
