This is such an amazing event! There's a surprising amount of street parking available within walking distance to the hill. I love the addition of food trucks to this event so that there are more food and drinks available if you run out of your own carry-ins. It was particularly hot so I wish I would have brought an umbrella and/or chair, but I only had a blanket this time. The MSO is my favorite night, it's the perfect balance of classical and contemporary recognizable tunes. Definitely recommend to anyone who is a music lover!

Chill on the Hill is synonymous with summer for me. I love living just a couple blocks away from the park. Tuesday nights, head to Humboldt Park! Well we just had the last one of the season so you'll have to wait until next year to check out this music event. Each week features a couple different musical groups from the MSO to American Legion bands and the Whiskeybelles. Lots of food trunks onsite, beer available for purchase. You can also bring in your own food and drink. The last chill on the hill always signifies summer coming to end.

Chill on the Hill is a fun affordable night out. Located on the hill in front of the band shell at Humboldt Park, Chill provides a free night out for locals. People are welcomed to bring a picnic and enjoy the music. If you don't have time to pack dinner there are numerous food trucks to choose from. There is also an adult beverage stand. Taking place on Tuesday nights, you can meet your Bay View neighbors and those from all over the city.

This is one of my favorite places to be in Milwaukee in the summertime. There is a huge variety of musical styles and the audiences vary based on who playing. But the constant seems to be a tremendous feeling of community when all of Bay View gathers to enjoy the sunshine, and let their kids run around on the hill. In fact, much of the time, the music is simply a backdrop for the gathering of friends, neighbors and classmates from the area who come to enjoy each others' company. You can bring your own food or drink (including alcohol, which is also available on-site). A thick blanket or folding chair is a must, because the grass can be scratchy early in the year. You can bring a well-trained dog on a leash, but be mindful of the kids running around everywhere. The best free entertainment Milwaukee has to offer!

tl;dr - Chill music vibes and you spend most of your time lounging, snacking and catching up with friends on summer Tuesdays. Chill on the Hill is hosted in Humboldt Park by the Bay View Neighborhood Association on Tuesdays in June through August. Never has there been a more free and enjoyable way to spend a weeknight (and work night for some) with music and friends while drinking and snacking the night away without getting too wild. You can bring everything with you, we usually use lots of blankets (good for sitting on and eventually covering up with on some of the "chillier" June Tuesday nights) some tailgating chairs and I've even seen people put tailgating tents up! You can also bring your own (adult if applicable) beverages and food. There are a fair amount of food trucks that stay busy pretty much all night (Streetza Pizza, Gouda Girls, Hue and GTO to name a few.) Special shout out to Gouda Girls, where my boyfriend got "the best cheese steak sandwich of his life." Sponsors line the side of the venue with little tents and you can also pick up an official Chill on the Hill T-shirt or hoodie there, as well as donation/volunteer tables. The event is covered with dogs (MY DREAM) and it's a great family event, too. Would definitely recommend to anyone in or outside of the Bay View area!

One of the great weeknight summer music series in Milwaukee! Chill on the Hill in the Bay VIEW neighborhood is good for: - Chilling (natch) - Kids (so many kids gettin' their "Free Range" on, which is awesome) - Families (See above) - Drink Locally (Grab a Lakefront Brewery beer near the stage, or grab a St. Francis Brewery pint at the Humboldt Park Beer garden, you can grab 'n' go!) - Eats (Tenuta's has a few good sandwiches, or there's tacos, etc.) - Carry In the above and save your scratch! - Music (Rock bands, brass bands, jazz bands, it's all here) Bring a blanket, or a couple low chairs, and post up on the Hill. Chill on the Hill is basically a huge bowl on a hill, so if you're hill-averse, just sit lower towards the bandstand. Handicap parking spots are limited behind the band shell. I'll parrot others here that recommend bringing a sweatshirt or additional layer, as it definitely cools off once the sun goes down. It's all happening in Bay VIEW!

As a new Bay View resident, I'm looking forward to a summer full of Tuesday evenings spent at Humboldt Park! Whether you like to bring a full-on picnic or purchase drinks and food, Chill on the Hill offers both options. Carry-in your own beverages and snacks or hit up one of the many local vendors available. The Vine (the newly re-branded Humboldt Park Beer Garden) is open during Chill on the Hill as well, offering another food and beverage choice. Chill on the Hill is a great free community activity for all ages (and dogs!). From the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra to the Bay View High School Drum Line, Chill offers music for everyone. The schedule of performers is available on the Bay View Neighborhood website. Bay View is lucky to have a unique weekly event in such a beautiful park.

Chill was packed because of a special show by the MSO. ckily we found our friend Lori L. She had a space all decked out. Parking is is extremly hard to come by. The parking checker was having an awesome day! We parked several blocks away and walked. There were a variety of vendors such as Tenuta's, Hue, and The Gouda Girls. The MSO was a treat to watch. They played everything from the "Star Spangled Banner" to some of its movie soundtracks like "Jurassic Park" to introduce upcoming events. It was a nice pre 4th family event.

'Twas very chill. I did sit on a hill. Two bands, they did play. The people, they did sway. I sat by some friends, which was lots of fun. By the time we got there, there wasn't much sun. Dogs and babies and folks young and old Food trucks and sponsors and music so bold. We brought with us some beer, Good friends, music, and lots of cheer. So many people, lots of Bay View, The result? A really long line for the loo. To summate, Chill is cool, it's community awesome, Nothing rhymes with awesome so eff it I'm out.
