The staff is amazing, love travis!!! Had stopped in the market before a concert! The food is excellent and so are the drinks! Also, they happen to be very much gluten friendly. I had gotten the fried prickles and wings, i recommend!:)

Some of the best BBQ we have ever had- and the only thing better than the food was the service and the staff- Jordan and Brock were so much fun giving great recommendations- the "Hunch Punch" was wonderful. Portions were HUGE- a 2 meat platter easily served 2 people and we couldn't finish it all. Homemade ranch for the tots was icing on the cake. The sauces were all delicious with unique flavor profiles. We shared the counter with a couple- it was the young lady's 21st birthday. Brock took the time to warn her about some club places to avoid for safety reasons. What a refreshing evening. My new favorite stop at Milwaukee Public Market!

Had a great tray of tots with mac and cheese and they swapped the meat for pork belly ends. Amazing food! I let them know I'm not a beer person and they suggested a delicious blueberry cider. The team working was great, the chef stepped out to ask me about the sauces when I told the waiter/bartender that I wasn't a spicy person. Good thing I am a delicious food person. Was nice to sit at the bar on what was a VERY hot day. The ice cold water hit the spot and they offered me more for the road. This is my first time in Milwaukee and this meal made up for the boring food I had the day before! The public market location is also great for exploring and picking up some local gifts. Shout out to Travis, Chrissy, Brock, Ty and Dave!

If you are ever in Milwaukee you can't miss the public market. They have so many restaurants and vendors and everything is delicious. But David Alan Alan's Smokehouse is my favorite. We started with a couple of Bloody Mary's and they come packed with flavors and delicious toppings like probably the best smoked rib I've ever tasted (my own included) Wisconsin string cheese, pickles and celery, so fresh, tasty and delicious. Everything on the menu is amazing and freshly prepared. We had the Ruben sandwich, friend green tomatoes and burned ends. Everything was cooked to perfection, sitting on their counter eating delicious bbq was a highlight of our trip. The service was also amazing and the prices you can't beat. I definitely recommend and can't wait to return. I'm still dreaming about this food.

Visited from Dallas for a packers game. The smokehouse was near our hotel. Staff was friendly and courteous and provided excellent customer service. Food was also really good. Definitely recommend this place. Travis was awesome!

Great bbq restaurant inside the Public Market. The counter seating is cool and you can really absorb the energy of the place. The food was some of the best bbq I've ever had. The smoked wings were tender and juicy. Likewise the ribs were also tender and not that fatty. Sometimes with smoked meat, it can get tough and dry. Not so here. The brisket was good but maybe a little too lean. A little more fat would have made it more juicy. Our servers were great. Attentive without being intrusive. We got the 4 meat platter, 10 wings and the Nashville hot chicken mac n cheese. All that for $88 before tip. Well worth it. If I lived here I'd be back on the regular.

I can say with confidence that this is the best barbecue food I've ever had. The brisket was absolutely perfect, like genuinely I didn't even know a brisket that good exists. And that's not all...THE CORNBREAD WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, oh my goodness. Sometimes I go to the public market and just get their cornbread and leave HAHA. And I can say the exact same about the baked beans. Oh my GOSH they were so good. Like genuinely this place exceeded my expectations in every way. Also the workers were so friendly and kind. If you are looking for the best barbecue restaurant, it's right here. LOOK NO FURTHER

Came in for takeout - overall pretty good. The quesadilla was terrific, as was the jalapeño bbq. Mac and Cheese was ok but was pretty cold when I got home, so it was likely lukewarm when packaged. Cornbread was solid, as were the fried pickles - but they were lacking a good sauce - a chipotle ranch or something would have been so good! Overall, food was pretty good, but kind of pricey - paid about $40 for a side of mac, quesadilla, and fried pickles.

We have had some of the best BBQ across multiple "BBQ Regions" of America...and DAA was on POINT!! Really appreciated the gluten free battered items on the menu for my wife. "What? I can actually eat fried pickles & chicken wings?" Was just one of my wife's comments. Great choice of sauces too. My pulled pork (I used the mustard-based sauce...as a throw back to our time in South Carolina) and my St. Louis Ribs (no sauce, dry rub) were both amazing...big flavors and smoked to perfection. Cornbread & slaw was legit too.
