The Blue Angels put on another magnificent air show on a beautiful day here on 7-20-2025. Was anything new here for air show fans? Well, the F-22 raptor did a flare demonstration as part of its booming and impressive routine which was a local air show first. Also, at one point, the two Blue Angels solo pilots both went straight up about 1/2 mile symmetrically and simultaneously and that looked like a visually impressive first. Something for me to look for again at the Chicago air show next month!

I love the Milwaukee Air & Water show. It's a perennial favorite. We got great seats near Veterans Park- took our chairs and enjoyed the Blue Angels. They did not disappoint. I recommend taking snacks/drinks/packing a picnic as there aren't too many food options. We had to dish out $20 (or was it $25) for parking - as I needed to park in an accessible spot for a companion. Highly recommend the Air & Water show! I have so many photos. Highly recommend.

My wife and I went to our 1st air and water show on Sunday July 20. We will NEVER go again. We purchased reserved parking and 2 Centerpoint reserved tickets. The porta pottys were not emptied after Saturday's event, they were FULL! Gross and unexceptable! Also getting out of the reserved parking lot by gate 2 took us 1 hour and 50 minutes to get out of. The show was okay at best, not enough water acts and definitely not enough planes. Food and drinks were over priced too. Again we will never go again!! Chris V.

All in all, fun day. However, the directions and info are seriously lacking. We paid for tickets to get reserved seating - not cheap. It claimed online that you can't bring in a laundry list of items including your own chair, umbrellas, food/drink, etc., but we saw plenty of people walking in with whatever they wanted. The seating area is not all that special with gently padded folding chairs out in full sun, but you do get access to some vendors that the outside public wouldn't get to like Public Brewing, White Claw demo area, etc. Also had a good amount of port-a-potties in that area which helped. Would have been nice to know that we could bring our own water bottles rather than have to use so many plastic water bottles that you're forced to purchase. They don't tell you who the vendors are online so you have to walk the whole strip to see the options. The only beer option is the MKE Parks stuff which is overpriced for what it is (Miller, Blue Moon, White Claw). Also, parking signs were tough to follow. Couldn't tell where to go based on the ticket information. We purchased parking due to all the warnings about lack of parking. No problems when getting in early but getting out was a joke. Not my favorite event downtown because of the logistics and misrepresentation of a few things but now we know for next time (if there is a next time).

Beautifully done! The Navy pilots are exceptional and talented. I can only imagine the training and mechanical science placed into the aircraft stunt routines. What appears as if an invisible giant hand is playing with a toy aircraft is actually professional craftsmanship at the finest. My favorite part of the airshow are the planes diving down low and setting off the car alarms!

The 2019 edition of the Milwaukee Air & Water Show was an event to behold! Frankly, even as much as I'm fascinated by aircraft, I haven't really been much of a fan of air shows over the years. My attitude was "how many skywriting prop planes can you see?" along with a general dislike of fighting crowds. That was especially magnified in 2019 because the same weekend included the Brady Street Festival, a craft beer festival, Germanfest, and the Brewers were playing the Cubs at Miller Park. But this year, oh how my attitude was adjusted! I was lucky enough to be invited to see the air show from the penthouse of a Gold Coast high rise on Prospect Avenue, with reserved parking to boot. Have camera...will travel. This year's show included, as I suspected, sky writing prop planes but seeing them from 28 stories above the top of the bluff gave me a much different perspective this year. Barrel rolls, figure eights, one biplane drew a picture of Snoopy - way to go, Red Baron! Watching several guys stall and go into a death-defying dive, all with smoke generators turned on was truly impressive. (You'd swear their landing gear got wet in Lake Michigan as they pulled out of their dives!) A few did some tail walking, another feat of flying skill not for those who are faint of heart. The Air National Guard was there to show off their tanker for inflight refueling, we saw a WWII vintage P-51 leading a squadron of modern jet fighters, another feat of flying skill. We saw biplanes, trainers, even stealth fighters. (By the time you hear them, you're already dead.) No doubt, the stars of the show this year were members of the United States Air Force crack flying team, the Thunderbirds! The team includes Major Michelle Curran, the Opposing Solo Pilot for the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron. Major Curran is from Medford, Wisconsin and she flies the No. 6 jet. Did I get a photo of her? I don't know. At 500 knots from that far away, even with a good zoom lens, I can't read the ID numbers on the jets, but I think I did. She buzzed the deck I was standing on, too! The 45 minute show put on by the Thunderbirds is something you have to see to believe, I cannot find the words to describe what it's like to see six impressive jets, piloted by six incredible pilots, with their wingtips about 18" apart while they impress us with their aerobatic skills. Did you miss the show? Watch for it next year!

These planes are EXTREMELY startling to people not interested in the Air & Water show on the lake. I wish they would be discontinued! Terrible!

Honestly pretty dope; the angels really rocked my world. Highway to danger zone was on repeat and vibes were an all time high. Only qualm was the loser pilots didn't wave good by or make eye contact with anyone. Talk about stage presence . I'll probably come back but won't be as stoked the next time.

First time attending the event this year and my family really enjoyed the experience. It is really crowded on the lakefront so this is not an event for folks that don't want to hang out with a million of their closest friends. The highlight of the event was the Blue Angels. I know the Blue Angels do not come every year so I am not sure it would be as exciting without them.

This year you will be seeing as I did during the practice sessions US Airforce female pilot who is from Wisconsin. She was on fox6now on the 25th. The show is as crowded as the 4th so hopefully it won't rain as scheduled - I will post more tomorrow. Not sure why more people aren't yelping!
