We went here for Sunday brunch, and sat inside. I appreciated the quiet atmosphere to be able to have a conversation. I had the country omelet, which was good, but not a traditional omelet. Everything needed a little more seasoning. The coffee was on point and the pastries looks fantastic if that's your thing.

Monday August 2025: Whenever I come to NSB, the staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Today for lunch I had a tuna sandwich on miche with a side salad and a cup of the tomato soup. The miche (sourdough bread) was fantastic!! It was toasted and buttered and the tuna salad was fresh and delicious. The tomato soup was excellent! Great flavor and creaminess. 5/5!

First time here. Came with a friend for a hot beverage and pastry. It's a medium size shop, there are two seating areas that have plenty of natural light from the large windows. You order at the counter where you can also see all the pastry items. We ordered a coffee latte and a London Fog Tea Latte. Also ordered the Monkey Bread and Spinach Quiche. Everything was made just right (little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam), and the food was the right temps. The Monkey Bread was a generous portion, and not overglazed. There are plenty of places to sit, in either of the two rooms. Most people were having quiet conversations, so the noise level was good. The service was friendly, and seemed genuinely warm. Lots of smiles from the several staff members. This is a place that I would not hesitate to come back to.

I had a friend visiting the area and was working from a coffee shop up the street - figured it made for a great time to check out the North Shore Boulangerie in Shorewood. We stopped in just before the lunch rush and got a table by the window. I don't think I've had a Croque before ... or at least not this fancy version ... from what I could tell, it was a fancy hot ham sandwich - with an egg added on top. I don't often go to restaurants for one specific item, but I would for the Croque Madame. On the side was their herb roasted potatoes au gratin ... another thing I wasn't sure on what to expect. It came out as a slice of layered potatoes and I couldn't help but want more. It was a very unique experience that is return for.

If you're looking for a great LGBTQ+-owned business to support this month (and beyond!), give North Shore Boulangerie a try! We recently visited for our first time and had a lovely lunch. The shop itself is a good size. Very light and airy inside. More-so bakery/casual seating in the area you first enter, and then more formal seating further back where you'll have a server. Bonus: patio seating when the weather is nice. Right away I ordered a latte and really enjoyed it. Good coffee, nice and frothy, well made. They've got plenty of options on their food menu, from soups and salads, to sammies and baked goods. I was a fan of the quiche. It had bacon and gruyere cheese served in their homemade buttery French crust. I mean what's not to love? My husband went with a sandwich of sorts that has thick cut bacon and came on a toasted sourdough. We also got our son a turkey sammie on a fresh croissant. Though everything was pretty tasty, I felt like the prices were a tad steep. Oh and we of course couldn't help ourselves but grab a variety of macaroons on the way out. Those were a WIN.

If I'm craving a chocolate or almond croissant, this is where I go!! Got there around 8am on a Thursday with still plenty in the case. They also have fruit tarts and other puff pastry treats! Delicious options to choose from if they sell out or croissants. On this particular visit, I got 8 croissants so I got asked if it was for my coworkers. LOL it was just for me and my bf. I was too embarrassed to say that I love the treats here so much I could eat so many without getting tired of it. Thanks for the small talk and the yummy croissants!

When I first stumbled upon the North Shore Boulangerie, I loved the Parisian theme and longed to be back in France. I bought two of their pan au chocolat (aka chocolate croissants). "It's just like Paris," said the guy behind the counter. Having recently returned from France, I thought, "Yeah sure." When my boyfriend and I tried them, we were both pleasantly surprised. The flavors were balanced between the buttery pastry and the chocolate filling. We have also dined in for lunch. Our server was very sweet and friendly. She had a lot of recommendations and was enthusiastic about the food. It really made me more excited to try it. I ordered from the specials menu - French Toast made with cinnamon brioche bread, topped with sautéed bananas, candied pecans, and butter. On the side was a raspberry and cherry compote. Three slices of thick cut high quality bacon and I was officially in love! North Shore Boulangerie is a pleasant place to enjoy some coffee, pastries, or lunch. We will definitely be back!

Such a cute little place for lunch! I loved the European cafe feel of this restaurant. It seemed a little pricey, but my food was excellent and ready quickly. The soup of the day was a major highlight--I definitely recommend checking out the specials when you stop in. I ordered a specialty coffee drink and was very pleased with it. Bakery case also looked divine but will have to wait for my next visit :)
