This is my favorite brunch place in Milwaukee and it's owned by a black woman. The vibes was unmatched I wish she had more room to put us, but I'm sure she will get a bigger location soon. The service was 10/10 the food blew my mind. That waffle recipe I need in my life. I ate my food and half of my partners breakfast sandwich!!! The drinks had the vibes set right. I was very excited for this place to open since i live so close. Me and my friend went today and ordered two of the korean corn dogs with cheese. we also ordered french fries. i gave my order slowly and the waitress/bartender with messy black oily hair said "what?". i didn't know to what so i repeated my whole order slowly and she was still fumbling around. both times i emphasized cheese for the korean corn dogs, not hot dogs as they offer both on the menu and we are vegetarian. we do not eat hot dogs at all, so of course we specifically asked for cheese. We waited about 35 minutes to get the food and there was one other table that was there some time before us. It was empty other than us. While we were waiting for our food, the bartender was intimately touching her boyfriend (?) who i assume also works there based on how he was talking and walking to the back a lot. The food came out and both had hot dogs in them. when i brought them up to the bartender/waitress, she said i didn't specify and i need to be more specific in the future (said very rudely). i told her i know i said cheese, because we are both vegetarian and do not eat meat. she argued with me. i sat down, and i hear her boyfriend/employee say "she didn't say cheese only" as if he was doing anything other than drinking on the job. we wait another 15 minutes and she brings out our food and continues arguing with us. her and her boyfriend (?) continue trash talking us while we are next to them. The fries were great. the other food was not good and expensive. We get a box from the chef and the chef mentions that we should specify next time which one we want. we said we did specify but it must've been a miscommunication, and the bartender said "whatever". i go to pay with card, and the bartender is messing around with cash when i get up there. i have no idea where she got the cash from because the other table checked out 15 minutes before us. she tells me to wait. i said okay. she hands me cash 30 seconds later and i don't take it because i haven't even paid yet and i have a card in my hands. she paused for 10 seconds before realizing and said "i didn't even check you out yet" yes. i know. at the very least, she must've been high. will not be returning. the service was disgusting, the place was dead but insanely long wait time, the food was expensive and not great, subjected to weird PDA while the boyfriend played the same song 4 times in a row. as we were leaving, they continued talking trash about us. unprofessional and rude. took the hot dog home and gave it to my dog. the cheese was cold and wet, nothing was good unfortunately.

This is a great new place in the neighborhood. We have been 3 times. The cheeseburger egg rolls and crispy wings are great appetizers. We also enjoyed the "Puffs" and the waffle dogs. Brunch is sinfully tasty: stuffed French toast. The cocktails are clever and delicious! My favorite is the Little Bear. A super place to go with friends - try lots of things and share. Fun and friendly staff.

So, I searched this place up on Yelp for "breakfast near me." I saw the pics and wanted to try it. I was greeted with a super friendly smile and seated immediately. I ordered the potato curry puffs and the honey ham and Swiss puffs. Totally amazing! Food came out in under 15 minutes even though there were other customers in the restaurant . The coffee with the "special" milk is a must. I'll be back before I leave town! Thanks!

We were so excited to try Twisted Cafe! The cheesy waffle dogs were AMAZING! Perfect mix of sweet and savory. The corn dogs seemed delish upon first bite, but we found them to be a bit TOO much. Too much cheese and they were hard to eat. The sugar on the outside was a good touch, though. Not sure if we'd ever want to dine-in.. while picking up our food we noticed the inside of the restaurant was a bit messy/cluttered. Overall, we will probably give Twisted Cafe a second chance someday.

I was trying to figure out a way to give the Twisted Cafe on Farwell Av in Milwaukee negative stars but yelp doesn't have that feature so I'll just give it ONE STAR. We tried this place because we live in the neighborhood and wanted to try supporting a new business. Unfortunately, i doubt this place makes it for more than 6 mos which is a shame. The short answer is that this place is terrible. We should have turned around and walked out...our bad. Here's the longer version: The waitress was trying her best but her efforts couldn't overcome the complete and total mediocrity of this place and the food which was much worse than mediocre. My wife ordered orange juice and a pancake stuffed with and egg (???). I ordered French toast, no meat and two scrambled eggs with coffee. The orange juice looked ok but as far as my coffee was concerned, there was a hitch... the waitress said they were out of cream so i could have some kind of sweet milk made in the back...I said "sure". Who serves Sunday breakfast with no cream for coffee on hand??? When the coffee arrived it was murky brown with what looked like curdling mild in it and luke warm...I pushed it off to the side. After this we proceeded to wait about 30 mins for our food. We were still holding out hope...My wife's food was stone cold except for the deep fried tater tots sprinkled with salt and Parmesan cheese. My French toast was ice cold, a small thing of what had to be fake maple syrup and in place of two scrambled eggs were two weird egg discs that looked like they maybe came frozen and had been heated in a toaster??? The eggs were also cold and rubbery. We each pulled some plastic ware from the dispenser on the table and attempted a few bites...but seriously the stuff was so bad and so cold that it would have been depressing to walk thru the rest of the day thinking that we actually ate this stuff. So I whipped out my credit card, went to the counter which was actually full of crumbs and salt sprinkles ... and proceeded to check out. This was total charity...we paid and left...~$38...ugh. Unfortunately we need decent places in this neighborhood but this one is not going to last long...The big hint which I should have considered is the really strange menu...who would eat this kind of stuff??? Next time we will go about 5 blocks north to Farwell and LaFayette and try the cafe there...It looks great. I agree with Angela P.'s review...we are thankful that at least the wait staff was better than her experience.

We're here for my niece birthday. It was a Sunday and the place packed. We ordered our drinks she had in the mimosas. It took a while for them to keep coming to give her her drinks. We just stayed up till unable to bring her 2 cups at a time for both me and my niece our meals with a hooker was about $70 they added they only tip which I didn't know so they got a $30 tip for me because I added 15 more because I didn't know they automatically took the tip for two people so for two people my check was $ 105 ish

I went here because my friend who I was with enjoyed it previously. We went in early afternoon and there was just about her couple. The place is really nice inside, though it's small, and there's a bar. We decided to get food to share - Parmesan fries, taco puff, K-Pop corn dog and cheese potato corn dog. I had a Little Bear cocktail, because it sounded delicious. It was really fun with the cute frozen jello bear. We really enjoyed the food. It was fresh and delicious. Get the secret sauce for everything. Our waiter had great energy. The owner brought our food out and apologized for the wait. We did have to wait for the food, but we weren't in a hurry so we barely noticed. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back.

I'm making another review because the owner thinks I'm malicious for my criticism towards her food. I'm not going to lie and say the food is nasty . It wasn't nasty and was made fresh. BUT THE SHRIMP TOAST MADE MY BOYFRIEND THROW UP AND I HAD A TUMMY ACHE ALL DAY. That's my honest review and I don't like the owner texting me like I didn't pay MONEY for food that made me SICK. The owner is accusing me of being allergic and blamed me for getting sick. I'm a GROWN WOMAN, if I was allergic to shrimp I wouldn't order it. TO EMPHASIZE, I'm not allergic to any food nor is my boyfriend. Even if I wanted to give them a second chance, I can't . I paid 9 dollars for 8 little croutons with shrimp on them and I'm getting gaslighted and shamed for mentioning it. Cafe literally means coffee , if she wanted to open a corn dog stand she could have done that. My community did not want just a shrimp paste toast and a coffee pot place. They wanted a grab and go cafe and since I waited 40 MINUTES for food that shouldn't take more then 20, it should be a small restaurant not a cafe. Thank you.
