I stopped by for lunch on a week day. I went for a beef and potato burrito, grilled chicken taco and potato ole's. It was all ok. I think everything needed a bit more flavor.

I had a good experience at this Taco John's. I usually come on weekdays at lunch time. They have been very quick, kind, and consistent. Very neat dining space. Delicious!

I hadn't eaten anything all day and I was having a big meal later so I just wanted to get something in me so I stopped here for one hard shell taco, I didn't want anything big like a burger etc. The drive through person was surprised that I didn't want a combo meal or anything else, just one hard shell taco for like $2.17. My taco came quick and just looked similar to TB with this thin taco with meat, lettuce and cheese that I topped with the two hot sauce packets. The shell was a crunchy corn with fresh ingredients that's exactly what I expected, a fast food taco. I don't eat at the two taco brands very much and I feel that they are so close to each other that I couldn't pick a favorite and either chain will do.

It seems my previous words about TJs were less than glowing. I won't revisit the issue that I must've allowed to get under my skin. Tonight, being Thursday, I am again a customer on behalf of my daughter. I really like TJs food but I truly prefer another place when I want a taste of Americanized Mexi foodstuff. But the potato oles kick ass and I nearly always get myself a large order alongside what I get for Nicole. Today however I'm a walk in visitor. It's been ages since I've been inside. What I first observe is a fully staffed kitchen of business. Clean stainless. Every visible surface. Excellent. Last week I stopped here, or rather intent on stopping I instead had to drive on by. Why? I wasn't sure. But they were dark. Today I saw that the driveway was refaced and lines painted anew. Again: an owner taking the costs of keeping the place fully fit. The dining area was plush with families enjoying themselves. Excellent. Floors and tables unfettered with debris. I really would appreciate a second Madison location again. 20yrs ago I used to visit the other one. I'd surely go again.

They constantly forget the sauce. Now I got nothing to dip my oles in. Otherwise food is good, but that sauce thing ruins it for me.

They seem to have recovered since my 2018 review which I had forgotten about. The staff, for the most part, have all been working there for a while so everything goes pretty smoothly even when the drive-thru is slammed (I only do the dining room myself). They just spruced up the dining area but it doesn't really seem like an improvement. I would give it 5 stars because the food is so excellent BUT the parent company just changed the loyalty rewards plan so you'd pretty much have to eat here like 3 or 4 times a week to get any free food because your points expire after 6 months and you need to pile up quite a few. The bean burritos are epic.

CUSTOMER BEWARE On our last visit the employees were great except the off the clock one who was hanging out debating his views on the wall and food stamps with a customer. Dakota was very attentive. The food wasnt so good. Today the employees were argumentative and a little rude. The tacos were FULL of grease. Not a couple drips but like an eighth of a cup in each taco. The donut bites were quite overcooked and had hardly any frosting. The menu says the mexi rolls come with a dipper but the employees charge a dollar extra and then argue with you, and when you ask them to actually read the menu, they still argue. Then the manager says just give it to him this time. How many people has this staff cheated? Those dollars add up. Customer beware.

I was so impressed by the Taco Johns team of caring people who channeled happiness to provide a special delivery of tacos made with love. Every single staff person was welcoming, brought the biggest smile to my day, and worked extremely efficiently to produce an affordable and no brainer meal for our family; and who doesn't love a taco and potato ole. Especially given in the time of curbside pickup and drive thru food happiness, eat in and your soul will be uplifted by the positive team energy and make you want to venture inside every time to find an unexpected ray of hope and happiness. You can really tell that the General Manager treats his supervisors and team with respect and care. And after the food was hot and ready, the GM even extended me with kindness and hoped our family enjoyed. What a pleasure to sense true pride in the product they produce and work hard to stay positive in this time of worldwide uncertainty. And a special thanks to the cashier who took her job seriously and helped my save a few bucks on taco tuesday :)

You want your Ole's? You want your crunch taco? You got it. I mean, it's a fast food place. The staff seem to have a good time, although you might end up bussing a previous occupant's table before you can sit down, depending on the time of day. For unapologetically Americanized tacos, they've got your number.

Not sure what's going on here. The place is filthy. Almost every empty table had food slobbered on it. The floor felt like there was a layer of oil on it...almost fell a number of times when I first came in. I'm guessing this is no longer owned by the Klinzings, because no way would they be OK with the conditions. So sad because we will travel across town to come to the only TJ's in the area. May not return..... 1 month later I was stupid enough to give it another try and.... Just when I thought 1 Star was being tough! HA! How about -5 stars!!! Please don't waste your time, especially in the drive up. They NEVER EVER EVER get an order correct. I think we will be driving 2 hours to the Black River Falls or perhaps the one south of Madison. This is so incredibly disappointing.
