Met some old friends there for brunch per their suggestion! We had a Saturday reservation for 1pm but I think due to Tosa Fest, they were more busy than usual? We didn't get seated until about 1:45pm but we bought a drink at the bar while we waited. They stop brunch at 2pm however we never felt rushed to leave. I looked over their menu beforehand as any good Yelper may do, so I had a few things in mind but was undecided. People were eating at the bar and somehow by chance, the plates I saw were the things I wanted to try! The crepes looked delicious, the salads, the salmon sandwich. I decided to go with that sandwich sans bacon for today. BUT I kinda wish I got the bacon because I'm positive it added the flavor I felt was lacking somehow? It was okay, just not super exciting for the $16.95 price. I went with the breakfast potatoes as my side and they were good but so much better when we asked for the aioli! Literally so good, please get that as a dip for the frites or potatoes. My friends enjoyed their meals as well, Benedicts and a salad. Afterwards I elected to buy some treats from the case to go, an almond croissant, macaroons and another little cookie type thing I can't recall the name of. We had a good experience here and I'd be happy to try one of the other menu items I was debating next time!

So French, wow. I felt like I was back in Europe, especially with the taste of the cafe latte. I don't know how to explain the coffee, but damn it was what I have been missing from my trip to Europe years ago. The spot is very French-feel, cozy + upscale (?). Very busy for a Monday! It helps that the weather is nice, their front patio dining area is beautiful. The lunch menu has a perfect selection of average priced items and pricier items. For drinks: My daughter and her friend got hot chocolate, which French hot chocolate is 10000x better than American (using real chocolate is always a better idea lol!). They loved it. I got a cafe latte, as mentioned above, delicious. My friend got a cappuccino, which she loved. Both espresso drinks were large! For Entrees: I got the Filet De Porc; A sandwich on house made Focaccia, which I will be dreaming about for a while. The sandwich consisted of grilled pork loin, Brie, apricot & orange marmalade, frisée, rosemary aioli. It sounds heavy, but it had a very fresh + light taste profile. The frites were a HUGE hit across the table. My friend got the soup of the day, which was potato + leek. She took one bite and instantly said "oh my gosh, that's so good". We both got the side of baguette, which was perfectly crunchy + soft and I instantly bought a full loaf for home Before we left, we stopped at the dessert counter and bought some goodies for the road. My daughter got the dark chocolate, sea salt cookie. It was delicious. I got some macarons, which held up to the hype. The lemon one was my favorite. If you find yourself in Tosa Village, I highly recommend this spot. They have brunch, lunch, and dinner. We will definitely be back. Only took one star off based on somewhat slow service, although they were very busy.

Unfriendly and condescending staff with and just so-so food. I've been earing here for years, because I have family members who love the bakery. But we have never been treated very great by the staff. "Ok" is the best I've gotten. They are snooty and condescending and never smile--and I mean never. So they don't serve meals between 2PM and 5PM. I caleed and verified with someone that the dessert case and bar area were still open during that time, so we could come in to buy dessert. So we tried the next day. We walked in exactly at 2PM and the place was packed and buzzing. The hostess refused to let us in the door! they "close" at 2PM and we weren't even allowed to walk 5 steps in and pay them for some bakery to go!! What?? Other people were buying bakery before they left, after their meal, what was the big deal? After some badgering, she relented and but kept spouting "it's out policy, it's our policy, this is a one-time thing only". And I thought to myself "yea, well that's for sure, because I won't be back!" Also, their bakery looks very pretty, but it always just tastes so-so. It's "ok", but the flavor never knocks me out with it's deliciousness. Just rather flat and subdued. For the price of one cookie at this place, I got 6 cookies from Whole Foods and they taste phenomenal! Also, I've never enjoyed the ambiance of this place. Hard flat chairs that hurt after 10 minutes, tiny tables, over-crowded dining areas. I cannot stand the atmosphere or mood of this place and the way the staff makes me feel. And their "policies" are terrible.

First time trying La Reve and I surely did not disappoint. We were sat in their upstairs dining section and the ambiance was great. Just bustling enough to where there was an energy in the room while still being able to have a conversation. Our server was wonderful and gave just the right amount of attention. The real star of the show was the food. The Gnocchi was by far and away our favorite of the night and we are already planning our return trip for that dish alone. The steak and mussels were also very good. For dessert we ordered two macaroons and the Opera Torte which were both phenomenal. Over all wonderful experience and highly recommend, especially if you are looking for an elevated meal without dealing with downtown Milwaukee.

La Rêve was amazing! It's located right in downtown Tosa, but stands apart because it goes above and beyond in their food. The Gnocchi was the star, melts in your mouth and I can't wait to go back and order it again! The dessert area is amazing as well, the noise level was perfect. A great restaurant to order wine and sit for an hour or two.

had a great time at brunch catching up with my girlfriends at this Milwaukee treasure! A staple always worth visiting. I ordered the breakfast scramble dish that was delicious. my girlfriends loved their meals and drinks as well. Then to top it off, their housemade pastries are the best way to top off a wonderful experience!

What a wonderful day to eat at Le Reve. Two friends and I had lunch there, choosing a very shady outdoor table. The server visited us promptly and remained efficient throughout the meal I ordered a Coquille St. Jacques crepe, which was delicious. It was served with a green salad which complimented the crepe. Another friend had the same thing. The third friend ordered Sandwich au Saumon, which she said was delicious. I always enjoy my meals at Le Reve. Today was no exception.

We hadn't been here in a few years and decided to stop in for lunch. We sat on the patio and unfortunately the service made the experience not that great. The waitress forgot to bring out a side, never checked on us or refilled our waters, then when we flagged her down and asked for a drink refill, she never came back. The food was good but it is fairly pricey for the quantity of food - particularly the salad. Still like it but may just stick to drinks and dessert from now on.

Oui oui! A taste of le Francais right in the middle of the village of Tosa I sometimes forget about this pretty authentic French bistro/patisserie with a beautiful old wooden bar and upstairs balcony dining area. While not huge it's not so small and intimate that it is hard to get a table. They have a wonderful beverage menu that goes from coffee drinks to mocktails to wine to liquors to cocktails. Something for everyone. They have some genuinely hard to find French delicacies. I'm mainly thinking of the escargot but also dishes like duck confit filled crepes. There's a little something for everyone - from sandwiches like monsieur croque to salads to more substantial dinners, with dishes priced accordingly from the low teens up to maybe $50ish for more expensive dinners. Make sure to save room though for the real star of the show - the desserts. You can go down to the dessert case by the bar and see them up close before ordering. I've had the Paris Brest and Citron tart here and both were excellent!! I wish I could order dessert first here. Ooh la la! Chefs kiss - a huge 5 stars
