Highlights 1. LOVE the Mapleton Barn food truck presence 2. Gluten-Friendly Pizza 3. Amazing Flavor I recently visited the Flour Girl and Flame food truck at the Mapleton Barn (Thursday nights in the summer) and was so impressed! The whole space is such a fun vibe with live music, drinks available for purchase as well as the Flour Girl & Flame truck and an ice cream stand. They truly have this down to a system. You are given a time to order and then the pizzas are ready in about 10 minutes. Pizza varietals were very unique and interesting but there was truly something for everyone. This was one of the top gluten-friendly pizzas I've ever had! We did the white sauce pizza as well as the flavor of the day which had fresh roasted corn! Can't wait to be back!

What a delight! We've been wanting to try this spot for a while. After a couple of misses, we finally made it here! We ordered ahead as we were hoping for food for takeout. We ordered their caesar salad, wood fired focaccia, and their smolwaukee specialty pizza. We ordered over the phone and the person who helped us was friendly and kind. They said our food would be ready in 30 minutes, which was perfect timing. We stopped by to pick up our food and only had to wait a couple of minutes for our order to be completed. It smelled fantastic and took all of our willpower not to bust into the pizza on the ride home. We shared the caesar which was plenty big for two people (though if you like yours heavily dressed, might make sense to get an extra cup of dressing--it worked for us, though!). The wood fired focaccia was all ooey-gooey cheesy, deliciousness. The pizza itself was perfectly baked with high quality ingredients. We opted for the garlic cream sauce for a base and then it comes topped with mozzarella, fennel sausage, foraged mushrooms, and caramelized onions. It was flavorful and had the perfect char. The prices are super reasonable (less than 40 before tip for our order!). The service as I mentioned was lovely. Heard while I was in that they have Detroit style pizza on Wednesdays--I'm so excited to try this next (Detroit style is my fave!). Get to it!

Best pizza around hands down. They have an awesome "food truck" oven and do lots of events over the summer. Does not disappoint. YUM! I have only had take out during the winter but would love to dine in. The Detroit pizza is once a week and is melt in your mouth delicious goodness. The pepperoni is so fresh. I could eat this entire pizza on my own and not regret it later. They are wonderful business owners and I would highly recommend !

I tried Flour Girl & Flame at a pop-up during Flannel Fest at Boone & Crockett, and who knew I liked Detroit-style pizza? It was delicious! I loved that the crust had this amazing focaccia-like texture, and the pepperoni was perfectly crispy. The extra red sauce on top was such a nice touch--I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! I ordered the Pep in Your Step, and the staff had the hot, fresh slice ready immediately. It looks like their West Allis store is closed at the moment, so I'm patiently waiting to visit their main spot. Their branding is so cute too! PLEASE KEEP IN MIND - DETROIT STYLE IS ONLY AVAILABLE ONCE A WEEK If you want your meal to be delivered, you have to order online. They do not accept delivery orders via phone (I'm not sure why). We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a veggie pizza. The crust on it was different from what I'm used to, it tasted like a honey glaze. Did not taste bad, but had to get used to it. We also had the wood-fired focaccia bread, and that was a hit.

I wish I could give more than five stars... I moved to Milwaukee from Chicago a little over a year and a half ago, and have not been impressed with any local pizza places. However, I've been eyeing Flour Girl for a while, and decided trying them to break Passover was the perfect opportunity to give them a chance. As a Chicagoan, I can never give up my #1 spot, but I have to say, this is probably my new second favorite pizza of all time! All ingredients are sourced from local farms, and they have their own apiary and put their honey on the crust. I also tried some of their hot honey on the pizza, and next time I would actually try it with their regular honey on it. I'm already excited to eat my leftovers tomorrow!

This is listed as closed because they are a mobile oven over the summer months, and it is wonderful! We enjoyed their food tonight at Mapleton Barn (see my review) as we enjoyed live music and a peaceful meal on the farm. The pizzas are made to order, in a hot oven as you wait and the options are so interesting. Flour Girl and Flame does a wonderful job and our meals were delicious. I will look for them again, and I plan to enjoy their food again soon.

Finally had a chance to eat at Flour Girl & Flame. Loved the homey vibe (the window of plants!), excellent service, and fantastic pizzas. A 12" pizza would feed 2 people, and you could get an app or salad to go with it if you were hungry. We tried 2 pizzas so we could try some of the great combinations on the menu, and had plenty to take home. We went for the Pep In Yer Step (favorite) and the Pretty Big Dill (very good!). The peppers and hot honey with the thick cup pepperoni = a perfect combo. We decided to try something a little adventurous with the dill pickle pizza - it was really good (especially if you're a pickle person, which one of us very much is). The pizzas came out quickly. We appreciated the selection of NA beverages (Passionfruit LaCroix for the win). If we hadn't enjoyed so much pizza we definitely would have had dessert - so many good options! We can't wait to come back.

This place is just fantastic! Got to try it when visiting Ope! Brewery since they had a station outside. We ordered both the margarita and another with pepperoni and their hot honey. Both were delicious! It's great to support not only a local business, but one run by women. And they offered items from a local bakery which hit the spot after such a fantastic meal. Well done! I'll be back to try more for sure :)

Checked out Flour Girl and Flame for their Detroit style pizza night and it is a must try! One of the best pizzas I have had in the Milwaukee area. A lot of their ingredients are locally sourced and they have a lot of unique options in their menu. They also let us get half and half for pizza so we could try different ones. Pizzas are big, one feeds 2-3 people. They have wings as well but we just got the pizza. It was relatively small inside so if it's busy expect a wait but we were rated right away. The inside is very cute and cozy. Overall, great food, great service, andddd they do take out
