Stopped by Gus' Deli before a day boating to get some sandwiches to bring with us on the boat. First thing to note--it's not a traditional, cold sandwich sub kind of deli. It's in Yelp as a diner and that is closer to the mark. It's also tucked away at the end of a building that has a TV station, I believe, so can be a bit hard to find. That said, they packed up our sandwiches well for us to take with us and they were all absolutely delicious so no complaints here! As others have mentioned, their hours are limited to morning through mid-afternoon. So, definitely more of a breakfast/lunch spot. I ordered their chicken caesar wrap which was hands down one of the best caesar wraps I've ever enjoyed. The parmesan was flavorful, the dressing was creamy and they used the perfect amount--honestly, it was just dreamy. The service was kind and efficient. Get to it!

Remember Gus from Gus' Cantina, Club Belize, and several other restaurants and business ventures around town? His current restaurant is Gus' Deli - West Allis, WI at 813 N 60th Street, on the first floor of the CBS 58 building. Last weekend, I finally got a chance (two chances, actually) to visit. Saturday morning, I called in a carry-out order for a Ham, Egg, and Cheese breakfast sandwich on wheat, and on Monday, I walked in and ordered the Chicken Enchiladas dinner for carry-out. Both were really excellent and a GREAT value with plenty of food! I could only finish half of each at each sitting and had the rest as leftovers later on those respective days. Dine-in and carry-out is available, and the menu hangs above the kitchen and consists of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, as well as some Mexican favorites, such as tacos, buritos, and enchiladas, with choice of chicken, beef, or pork. His website, Facebook page, Google page, and Yelp page all show slightly different business hours, but the key takeaways are 1) open for breakfast and lunch Monday-Saturday, and 2) the food is delicious at a great value! This last photo shows the Summer business hours will be 8am-2pm Monday-Saturday, starting June 13th, but you safely call in a carry-out order or dine-in during those times this week, too.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday at Gus' Deli. It's in an unusual place but definitely worth finding! I was meeting a colleague ahead of an afternoon meeting and Gus' was close by. I had the chicken tacos and my colleague had chili and a club sandwich. WOW! That was a lot of food! Definitely a good value. The food came out quickly as it did not seem very busy for lunchtime. We grabbed beverages from the cooler and ordered at the bar. We sat down and the food arrived in minutes. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The host and the cook/owner both stopped by to check on us. The food was tasty but I thought the chicken in my tacos could use some seasoning. This was easily resolved with some salsa. We were in and out quickly and with leftovers. Gus' is definitely worth a visit!

Gus is the real deal. If there's a local area business to support it is his. He is insanely genuine and cares deeply about his community. The food portions are sizable and a variety is offered. I have not had breakfast, only lunch items. Show this man some support as he provides so much of it himself.

Gus is a great owner and loves to treat his customers great. Huge portion sizes and u will never leave hungry. Everything is made fresh. This is a example how places should be. Definitely a must try.

In addition to serving amazing food for both breakfast and lunch (my go-to's are the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich for breakfast and the club sandwich for lunch), Gus is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Since I became a semi-regular customer a couple years ago, it's hard to tell which one of us is more excited to see there other when I come through the door. Even if he's busy he always takes a moment to ask how my family is doing and he often shows me something he's cooking up special. Equally, first time customers are treated with warmth and appreciation like you've been a customer of his forever. The world would be a far better place if more people were like Gus.

This place is a little hidden gem. It is tucked away in the corner of the local CBS news station. The food and service here are impeccable. I honestly expect much from a small mom and pop shop like this, but I had a pleasant experience here. You order first up front and then they bring you your food. I am surprised how big the restaurant actually is. There is plenty of seating. There is a bar and lots of tables. There are also TVs so you can watch games there, which is a plus. We got a turkey sandwich and lamb gyro sandwich. Wow, the portions are huge. That's what makes sandwiches great. I like that they were generous with the fillings because it made the sandwiches so flavorful and tasty. I am always a little nervous that the gyro meat will be dry, but this was actually delicious and well seasoned. The fries were also yummy. The lady was really friendly and checked on us. The guy making the food also checked on us, which was very cool. 10/10 I highly recommend you come here. I look forward to coming back here again.

Tucked away in West Allis/ West Milwaukee is a culinary treasure. The owner and his wife provide a warm welcome, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Lovely place tucked away here. Food was absolutely excellent, I had a lamb gyro sandwich and it is top tier compared to other places that offer it. Staff were so wholesome and kind and I will always recommend this place to anyone I see.
