I like a lot of things about this State Fair sausage stand, maybe most importantly on a crowded hot day, this one has a small tent with fans, chairs and tables. Second, almost as important, there are some pretty tasty sausage selections here, the food is good. They have big bottles of condiments instead of those deadly toxic packets. Service is pretty okay, it's walk up and order with the usual jaded young people drafted into seasonal work. Let's go back to the crowded hot day part to understand why with all the positives I say, two stars and "Meh, I've experienced better." I paid for an iced tea. It was 90 degrees, 80 percent humidity, crowded like Mumbai (similar smell of cows wandering as well) and I didn't just want some water, I needed some water. I took my empty non-recyclable polystyrene cup of ice (from the iced tea I paid for) and asked for some water. 50 Cents. (Like the rapper). For water. In a cup I already paid for. Just rubbed me the wrong way, it seemed unnecessarily mercenary. I was irritated the rest of the Fair that day, so I thought I would wait a week or so to review the place but no, I'm still miffed.
