We went to the hotel to arrange a reservation for happy hour. They stated that the restaurant was closed due to the weather. It was such BS. We weren’t staying at the hotel. Therefore, we couldn’t get a reservation. The restaurant was open. Intercontinental, you will never get a dime from me. Such a pretentious service model.

Had a poke bowl for lunch. Usually pretty gracious about food on the island being expensive because the ingredients are expensive. However, this bowl was quite small, with minimal topping and mostly rice, for $30. Had one at a local food shop on Moorea that was double the size, and came with much more toppings. View is amazing and service is fast.

I would like to start by saying the service here is impeccable. They're very friendly and attentive. Thank you.

The bar is also very picturesque and facing a nice beach / poolside.

We ordered the fresh pineapple smoothie with yogurt and honey. For 1250, it was very disappointing. The drink didn't have any smoothie texture, no finely blended ice. It just tasted like a juice, and it also wasn't very cold either.

Charging 1250 which is pretty much ($12.50) for a 12 ounce smoothie, it better be the best smoothie on the island, especially if it's the Intercontinental Hotel. Unfortunately it was terrible.

We phoned in advance asking what time the happy hour was. They said between 17:30 and 18:30. When we showed up at 17:30 they sent us away saying that the bar is just for guests of the Intercontinental Hotel. A waste of time!

Showed up hoping to have a relaxing evening at the bar, the clerk sent us away and was pretty rude about it. Apparently the services are for the hotel guests only, however it could have been handled politely. Why advertise the bar then???
