On three occasions during out short stay in Auckland we visited the SkyBar. The staff were all superb (special shout out to Paulina who remembered our names and had a lovely chat with us) and very attentive without rushing you. The deserts were lovely (I think we had tried them all between us over the three visits!) in both presentation and taste. The drinks I guess would taste the same if you were in the SkyBar or any other bar, though at least you can rely on the SkyBar to use quality mixers where some other establishments don't. The views ... wow! Even when the clouds passed through it was great, and, to see the SkyJumpers pass the window was fun in itself.

Yes, I'd thoroughly recommend a visit (say hello to Paulina from me!) whether for a passing drink or a more lengthy visit.

I brought my family to a sky bar for drinks, and we were pleasantly surprised with a birthday celebration from them. We ordered drinks and a few snacks.

The service was excellent, and the waitress had great skills when taking our family photos. I highly recommend taking your loved ones to enjoy the beautiful Auckland sunset together.

We were mainly there for an after dinner dessert. The gold bar was very good, highly recommend. Incredible presentation and great taste (5/5), the pistachio cake was bad - it had such little pistachio taste we squinted, looked at each other, tasted a second time, compared cake against the menu to make sure it was the right cake, and concluded it can't be called a pistachio cake. Pretty bland(1/5).  Drinks were average. Great friendly service and lovely view. Worth making a reservation to make sure you get a spot. Would return but would never reorder the pistachio cake.

+ Tried more desserts and increasing overall rating as a result. Hazelnut was great, near 5/5 (could improve if ice cream or pavlova meringue instead of cream centre), tiramisu was great, fig was a great add, would be better with even more fig 4.5/5, raspberry had plenty of flavor, looks pretty plain 3.5/5. Lychee was good, 4/5, lychee hint isn't as strong and sadly there's no "fresh lychee" hint, would improve if it does.

Popped up for a drink and bite to eat. Had a lovely cocktail and a delicious dessert. Views are obviously amazing, I think the thing that makes the bar extra special were their lovely staff. Friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, they were excellent. Worth a visit ♥️

Really nice place for coffee, hot chocolate, drinks. (plus, the hot chocolate is really yummy).
You don't need to pay to go up to the bar - worth it to avoid the crowd of the observation deck and for free!!
