A nice bonus is the beautiful and serene Karekare Falls, just a short, 10 minutes walk back up the road from Karekare Beach carpark. A definite must see!

Loved this beach. Was super isolated and had a 10 minute walking trail to get to the beach. The black sand beach was really unique.

A very peaceful place. It has black sand and there are minerals in the sand that glitter when the sun shines which makes the beach look like heaven. The only downside is that there is no parking near the beach and when you park your vehicle, you need to walk a bit before you can reach the sea.
