I need to put a review for this vineyard and restaurant. Mostly everything was really really good - the food, staff quality and wines were perfectly on point… except if you have kids. There I felt that menus and food was appalling. For adults, we are in a Michelin quality restaurant and everything tastes amazing, beautifully presented, and for kids, we have food that came from a freezer bag and highly processed with no flexibility from the kitchen to provide any accommodations (aka I asked for vegetables for our kids instead of the omnipresent chips - impossible!). If anyone reads this, seriously either be clear - no kids allowed or do better for them!

Day tripped here first day in Auckland. Very easy to take the ferry then either walk / bus / or take taxi to restaurant. We took a bus then walked. Food was terrific. Setting is beautiful. Wine was delicious. Good service. Took a 12pm ferry and had plenty of time to return on the 4Pm.

We did a wine tasting here and did the lunch tasting menu afterwards. It was fantastic, the food and wine were beautiful and we loved every minute of our experience! This is a great day trip from Auckland.

Beautiful surroundings.  The food was good,  but my lamb was not hot. Must have been sitting under the lights too long. The service was poor. We had to ask for our drinks as they didn't arrive.  Too long between courses.  Twenty-five minutes.  When the mains arrived, there were no fries. We had to ask again, and they arrived after we had eaten our mains.  We had planned to have dessert but didn't bother.
This day out was a birthday gift from my son. Unlikely to return.
