Jag kommer att ge detta ett 5-stjärnigt omdöme. Jag gick alltid till denna plats och varje gång jag gick hit kände jag mig trygg, bekväm och koppla av. Maten är helt fantastisk! Och personalen är mycket välkomnande och vänlig. Särskilt golvpersonalen och baren själv var ren och vibbarna ger! Ser fram emot att hoppa in igen. Skål!

Lördag kväll och stället var fullt (ännu iskallt) . Servicen var obefintlig - varje gång vi krävde en beställning var vi tvungna att hitta en anställd för att hjälpa. Ingen kollade på oss under hela tiden vi var där. Champagnelistan blev också besviken. Antingen Moet för ett ganska rimligt pris (Moet - inget speciellt) eller betala över $ 200 för nästa alternativ. Maten å andra sidan var helt utsökt, men alla 6 rätter kom ut på en gång till vårt bord med ingenstans tillräckligt med utrymme för att passa dem alla. Mycket tråkigt att den ikoniska SPQR har ersatts med en plats som inte vet om det är en bar eller restaurang och gör ingetdera mycket bra.

Utmärkt inredning och design. Det slutar där så långt som vår erfarenhet gick. Vi hade bokat för middag men enligt min åsikt är detta inte en restaurang.. det är en bar som säljer mat. Det var fullt upp (vilken lågkonjunktur vi sa! ) men så högt att vi åkte så fort vi kunde. Vi satt på ett högt bord för fyra. . det är bra om du dricker på kanske ha lite snacks. Men om du vill äta finns det inte plats för maten. På menyn. Det är bara konstigt. Huvuddelen är bara protein och det finns ingen grönsaks- eller salladssida. Det finns en vegetarisk ”mellanmål” och en sallad liten maträtt. De kallade det en toskansk sallad. Lyckligtvis frågade vi vad det var och i huvudsak är det en tomatsallad med krutonger. Det är ingen panzanella. Vi beställde det och det var trevligt men det var det enda icke protein på bordet. Servicen var genomsnittlig. De var mycket angelägna om att ta emot drinkbeställningar men tillhandahöll bara en meny . . en andra kom på begäran. Vår matbeställning försvann och vi var tvungna att beställa om. Maten i sig var god men det är inte den typen av måltid som jag tänker på dagen efter. Det finns mycket bättre ställen att äta i Ponsonby ... vi kommer att gå någon annanstans nästa gång. Jag skulle besöka Jacuzzi för en drink men bara om jag var beredd att skrika på mina vänner.

Vi såg att detta var upptagen på en söndag lunchtid och fick ett bord inne men tillräckligt nära dörren för att se allt som händer. Detta är en smart bistro med små och stora tallrikar, Vi åt lunch på några små tallrikar tillsammans med lite mycket trevligt vin. Jag tror att detta är ett bra komplement till Ponsonby området
