Amazing amazing restaurant! If you’re in Queenstown, I would not miss visiting 1876. They had live music last Friday night, and all the tables were full. We were happy to wait, but the kind staff moved a table outside for us which was wonderful because we could join in on the fun and vibrant atmosphere. The food was delicious - we had the steak and fajita. Great experience, highly recommend and will definitely plan to return if I’m in Queenstown again.

Popped in for a drink & a dance to the love music on Saturday night.
Alcoholic drinks were great , although the non alcoholic (soft drink) options were lacking.
Outsides beer garden is spacious and very popular. Inside had seating, tvs to watch sport, a wide open space to have a dance.

Bathrooms were individually non gendered which was a nice change.

Stopped in for drinks and a bite to eat. Starting with the positives, the staff are attentive and friendly. The drinks are a bargain. We ordered a Japanese salad, curry chips and calamari. The salad had beautiful flavours but was so drenched in dressing it was soggy. The calamari also had a lovely flavoured batter but was super chewy. Could cope with that but the curry and cheese chips are truly woeful. I hate sending things back but had to - how can you stuff up chips? These were pale and tasted raw. They tried again but not much  better as picture shows. The curry sauce is also not enjoyable- like a chilli sauce more than curry and not enjoyable.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced meal, this place is worth going to. They have $15 daily specials. We had the pasta special and order feijtas off the menu. Both were very good & great value for money.

We went in enquiring about the $15 Chefs special that were advertised on a board outside, signage on the bar and signage on the tables. We were told that they were now $20 and when asked about maybe changing the signage, were told that he could not do that. This really does seem like misleading advertising as across the road, they were advertising $20 lunches. Food was average. The $15  ($20) Chefs special was couscous with mesculin salad. Not worth $20!
