My wife and I were fortunate enough to visit this gem in town.

For wine lovers, this place should definitely be on your try-out list.

They have a very wide selection of wines - both New Zealand and international. Many of them are available in glass. So, if you are there by yourself and just sip on a glass of wine, you have many selection to choose from.

The place has a very warm, welcoming atmosphere. You will be surrounded by wine bottles! The place is divided into two sections - one as a restaurant and the other as a bar.

We had some bar snacks, fromage board, along with two bottles of wine. The snacks were great and seasoned perfectly to have with wine.

Sommelier is well versed in her knowledge of wines and she will always be there to support your wine decisions.

Both bottles of wine were in good condition and it was a pleasure to have had such service. The staff will ensure that your glass is refilled once emptied. They will often visit to check on whether we feel up for another glass or a bottle.

I will definitely be back to this wine bar when I am in town. I do not regret a penny I spent that night!

I would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a neat place for a date out, or even for a casual day out to have a sip of wine.

The best wine-experience we've ever had, on any continent! We heard great things about Noble Rot and their tasting menu (degustation menu), so we made our way down the alley and grabbed our outdoor table.

We decided to include the wine-pairing experience with our tasting menu, and I'm so glad we did.

We're fortunate to have done wine tastings all over the world - I can confidently say that Jessica at Noble Rot was the best wine-guide we've EVER had. Thoughtful, entertaining, engaging, and informative, she made us feel like we knew each wine's history, who grew the grape, how it was grown, what the weather was like that year, and how all of these things impacted its flavor. It was amazing!

If you're heading to Noble Rot, go for the tasting (degustation) menu, and add in the wine-paring, especially if Jessica is working that evening! It's worth every penny for the experience.

Excellent food and wine selection.  We happened to walk in there by pure chance on our one night in Wellington, and were greeted by the owner, who took care of us perfectly.  The food is very creative, great presentation and high quality - Michelin star worthy.  It is on the pricey side but totally worth it.  Very cozy and stylish atmosphere, too.

Just what I wanted - somewhere to sit and read while sipping on good wine. In Wellington for the day, and wanted somewhere to relax before heading back to the airport. Wine choices are huge, so I asked for advice which delivered what I wanted. The service was excellent and unobtrusive. The entrees was a grilled courgette with delicate and delicious topping,  then pan dried hapuka - delicate but full flavoured. Will definitely be going back on the next visit to Wellington. It isn't the cheapest place but for me I got what I paid for.

Fantastic dinner, no wait time on this opportunity. Beautiful service and perfect food, couldn't have asked for anything different. They also had the courtesy of giving us a little aniversary treat, thanks.  Going back next year.

Excellent service, atmosphere and overall experience. Food was absolutely fantastic, specially the risotto starter!

Only cons was that we had to wait 30 min, even though we had a booking, for getting our table .
