Lovely experience at Margot. Service was great and food was beautifully presented. We loved the gnocco fritto and the wine was beautiful. I love the idea that menu is seasonal and changes often. Only difference between rating 5 was that our seating was cramped and people were standing right behind us to pay. Also on the night that we dined - the only meat option was a raw beef/ sliced meats. Perhaps the lamb chops sold out as we saw them on menu day earlier.

Once again this menu out performs every other restaurant. We now just trust the chef and order the 'center' of the menu. Four of us shared 8 items, maybe 9? Then we had dessert! Two diners are vegetarians, one prefers vegetarian, one likes fish. What an experience! Plus the drinks are amazing combos.

I was excited to try Margot and it is a really fun new Newtown addition. The restaurant is very very small, and feels a bit claustrophobic. The staff are lovely and very friendly. The food flavor pairings were very different and definitely would challenge your preconceived notion of a common dish. Their flounder with tomato butter was amazing and I feel like I have been missing out on tomato butter my whole life.
This restaurant is a fun one to try out and their small share plates makes it fun to try out multiple dishes.

Have been meaning to go here for a while, finally, we got the chance, and we were not disappointed. The food is fantastic. The standout dishes for us were the Stracciatella and the chopped raw beef. The taste and textures combined made these really stand out. That's not to say the other dishes weren't great; they were all excellent. We did spend a bit on the dinner, but it was worth every dollar.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and their knowledge of the food and drinks put us at ease as a couple of the dishes we had never had. I love the cosy atmosphere, and it doesn't get too loud.

If you get a chance to come to Margot's, then do it. This place is to be noticed.

The four of us went to Margot for my birthday. Loved it. Everything is for sharing and everything is delicious. Well some people may not enjoy a whole can of anchovies on sourdough as much as I do. Recommend booking and it is better to be a minute late than 10 minutes early. Wine by the glass if you want and don’t be fussy about the desserts just order all of them. The photo of the four spoons tells you all you need to know. Enjoy
