Interesting combinations, we were extremely satisfied with our choices. I guess that it is better to go little adventurous in here, since I heard complaint about risotto and lomo. I had trout smorrebrod, slow cook beef cheek with walnut foam and truffled chocolate. All of it very good. It is quite expensive though.

The food is different, unusual, interesting, all in good ways. Love the space. Service is attentive and friendly. But... the one negative, no one, neither waitstaff nor kitchen staff at the bar around the kitchen, will talk to you about the food and the details - what some of the unusual ingredients are, how things are made in such a different way, etc., which is something you really want when food is this different.

First time for me to dine in Sàl and it was a great experience. The food is not too sweet or too salty. Everything that I ordered was beautiful and delicious, and had different layers of taste. The chocolate tart dessert though was a bit too dense for me.

The portions are small but if you order everything ( the appetizers, main course and desserts) you would feel full without being too full.

Price is more on the expensive side, compared to several other fine dining restaurants. The staffs were friendly and accommodating, and speak English as well !

All in all it was great.

Absolutely perfect. We ordered the smoked fish, chicken liver brulee, duck breast, and almond meteorite and loved it. The food was delicious, the staff were super friendly and helpful (they also speak English). Five of the wine bottles on the wine list that I looked up were all 4.0+ reviewed on Vivino, so they are high quality and you cannot go wrong. Definitely Michelin restaurant quality. The atmosphere is great with lots of cute details and beautiful lighting. We loved the dining experience at Sál.

The smoked fish was split into two for us as we were sharing the entree (so note the photo is only 1/2 of the fish). The smoked fish was our favorite as the flavors of the clam puree and herbs were very unique; a true taste of Nordic cuisine. The chicken liver puree was absolutely phenomenal, they created a caramelized surface on top and the liver was very rich and smooth. The duck breast was also very tasty with a compliment of unique flavors including a cabbage puree. The Almond meteorite dessert was very delicious and a delicate work of art. Loved it.

Feedback: I have one minor issue with the duck breast dish. I thought it was a little bit chewy. I understand that some of the fat must remain to keep the shape of the duck breast after cooking; I can also understand that the texture might be intended as some people like having a little gamey texture to the meat. This has no effect on the quality of the dish at all, it is still fantastic.

I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fine dining experience or to celebrate special occasions.

It was my first experience with Nordic cuisine and being honest, I fell in love with it!

First of all, I love the interior - it’s cosy but exquisite the same time.

All dishes were very nice - the smorrebrod was the best avocado toast I’ve ever had! Squid tartar was spectacular, smoked fish was so fresh and tasty and dessert - chocolate beetroot kage - was the knockout.

The waiters were very lovely and helpful with choosing the right food.

All sauces were very balanced and good matched to all dishes.

P.S. You’ll get a shot of vodka for the road at the end.
