What a great market, went on a Sunday, spent 4 hours, still could not see all the vendors.
Impressive array of goods and not as much duplication of the 'same old same old', either from booth to booth, nor compared to the tacky tourist bric a brack generally found.

This market is incredibly fun, selling a wide variety of Argentinian specialties. There’s so much food that I've returned four times and still haven’t tried everything. The atmosphere is lively even on weekdays. It feels quite safe because there are many police officers patrolling around.
The prices are a bit high since it's geared towards tourists.

Great variety of food and interesting shops: second hand items, true antiques and one of a kind boutique shops. Wildly better than the Florida Street or Recoleta Mall.

A must if you are willing to traverse the crowds. Go during Sundays if you want to see the market expand into the streets and see live shows, but the market is open everyday. One of the best things to do when visiting BA. Visit shops and buy some leather goods (well-priced in Argentina, but maybe you can find it cheaper elsewhere if you know how to look), or just try some local eats. Spend at least 2 hours here, but probably best to allocate a half-day.
