Food and setting is great but ensure you explicitly ask to pay in Real, rather than your local currency. Last time I didn't need to, but this time I was charged a 12% currency conversion (on top of Service) and was told it wasn't possible to reverse it. Low tactic.

A real hidden gem. Pretty difficult to find, got it recommended by a friend and was very sceptical while we were driving on smaller and smaller road. But once we got there it was worth the drive. Nice food in a beatiful setting. They also have rooms but we only had lunch there. We will come back for a night or weekend.

Very special restaurant in an old and beautiful house/hotel. I recommend the salmon, the octopus or risotto. The wine selection was also good and the service as well. I recommend this place for a special occasion. Come before sunset

Charming Dining at Don Pascual, Vargem Grande, RJ

Don Pascual Usel service långt inne i skogen. Det ligger inne i skogen och du hittar inte utan taxi. Mysigt men alldeles för avsides. Det tog alldeles för långt tid att få sin mat. En del i sällskapet fick sin drink när vi andra hade ätit färdigt förrätten, en del glömdes bort helt. Det var vår grupp och två par till som var i restaurangen, alltså ingen stress. Maten var ok men inte mer. De slog ihop allas beställning trots att guiden sa att var och en skulle betala själv. Det tog nästan en timme att få betala. De rörde till notan fullständigt genom att blandade ihop gäster och beställningar. Kan tyvärr inte rekommendera detta ställe.

Det tog alldeles för långt id att få sin mat. När den väl kom så saknades delar av beställningen. Det vin vi beställde från vinlistan fanns inte. De kunde inte presentera en riktig nota. Tog nästan en timme att få betala. De rörde till notan fullständigt. Blandade ihop gäster. Tyvärr kan jag inte rekommendera detta ställe.

Don Pascual erbjöd ett bra alternativ för karnevalen i Rio. Vi stannade där i tre nätter, på rum # 3. Rummet såg ut som en stuga, med högt i tak och en mycket bekväm queen size-säng. Belysning var dålig, men det gjorde den exakta mysiga atmosfären vi letade efter. Don Pascual är skuren i mitten av skogen, omgiven av naturen. Frukost ingick i dagskursen, vilket var inte så billigt, men okej, med tanke på det privilegierade läget och avståndet från de viktigaste Rio-kvarteren. Don Pascual har också en restaurang med fina rätter. Du bör använda sig av insektsmedel innan du åker dit, av uppenbara skäl. Även om vistelsen var bra är det sant att göra bokningen har varit lite utmanande. Flera e-postmeddelanden och telefonsamtal var nödvändiga för att bekräfta att en 3-dagars reservation skulle vara från lördag till tisdag, och inte till måndag, som informeras av dem via e-post. Vid någon tidpunkt började vi tänka att de inte ville ta emot oss. Lyckligtvis sorterades allt innan vår ankomst och när vi var där gick allt ganska bra ut. Bäst om vistas där var närheten till andra fina restauranger, och så kunde vi också lära känna dem under de 3 dagarna som vi stannade där. Detta kan ske under en helg när som helst på året, eftersom de flesta restaurangerna endast öppnas under helger och helgdagar. WiFi inuti sovrummet är inte så bra, jag tror att detta skulle kunna förbättras. Jag rekommenderar denna plats!

Den överlägset bästa restaurangen jag någonsin varit i. Från att gå upp den vackra vägen, att sitta ner, njuta av en flaska fantastiskt vin, till aptitretare, förrätter och dessert. Från början till slut var det den mest fantastiska maten och atmosfären vi någonsin har upplevt. Vi älskade det romantiska, djungel landskapet! Tjänsten var underbar! Och för att inte tala portugisiska var det så trevligt att kunna kommunicera med några av personalen, eftersom någon talade engelska. Vi vill definitivt komma tillbaka en dag och uppleva denna underbara plats igen! ! !

Vackert tropiskt skogslandskap, utsökt mat, omtänksam service, rimliga priser, vad mer kan du förvänta dig till lunch eller middag? Don Pascual har allt, vilket gör den till en idealisk plats för en romantisk måltid, en familjesamling eller vad du än tänker dig. Du kan till och med stanna kvar på natten, i en av de fyra sviterna som erbjuds gästerna. Det är också mycket rekommenderat för utländska besökare, som kommer att ta tillbaka hemma minnen av en ökad upplevelse av mat i mitten av en skog, bara 20 minuters resa från Barra i Tijuca. Vänligen missa inte den här.

Vi körde 1 1/2 timme för att komma till Don Pascual från centrala Rio de Janeiro. Vi hade höga förväntningar från vänner som hade besökt innan. Vi hälsades varmt och tog de vackra sevärdheterna. Platsen är helt underbart. Vi beställde drycker, och jag måste säga att de förde mig en av de värsta caipirinhas jag någonsin har haft. Bland, inte tillräckligt med frukt, inte tillräckligt med alkohol. Sedan beställde vi en fondue (det var kallt!) För fyra personer, och vår besvikelse bekräftades. Osten var för tjock, brödet var inte tillräckligt för oss alla (även om vi hade blivit varnade det var en "individuell" fondue). När vi beställde en andra sats bröd, de inte bara debiteras oss en jättestor R $ 12 för det (U $ 3) men de var inaktuella och hårda. Jag kände mig inte fulfiled av min måltid, jag beställde dessert för att ge det ett annat skott. En annan besvikelse. Min brownie var torr och verkade mycket överkokt. För att lägga till förolämpning för skada var tjänsten för långsam. Efter att ha väntat på räkningen i 20 minuter bestämde vi oss för att gå upp och ta oss själva. Totalt var det en mycket trevlig atmosfär, till mycket nedslående mat och service.

Nice "country-side" inuti Rio. Jag rekomenderar. Trevlig mat, bra ser vice, utmärkt läge! Njut av det.

När man talar om restauranger i Rio de Janeiro, måste man alltid förvänta sig att gå någonstans för dyrt eller ha extremt dålig service, eller båda. Don Pascual ligger i ett avlägset område i Rio de Janeiro, i en mycket vacker miljö, nästan inom en skog. Det kommer med ett pris, naturligtvis. Tjänsten är ok och maten är bra. Det är ett bra ställe att komma och äta utan brådska, att slappna av och prata mycket.

Don Pascual är en dold pärla är Rio de Janeiro! En fantastisk plats i den gastronomiska centrum av Vargem Grande, har fantastisk och mycket bra service! Det är den 3:e gången jag har varit där så jag Han lärde oss hur man ska bete sig de förtjänade ett omdöme! De har mycket bra aptitretare, speciellt den bruschettas och ceviches. För huvudrätten du inte missa - antingen om du plockar fisk, pizza, risotto och biff. Alla delar är utsökt och väl serverad och varje nu och då de en har speciella meny på (påsk, alla hjärtans dag, etc) . Deras service är riktigt bra, servitörerna är alltid på din serve! Ett stort plus är den fantastiska miljön av Don Pascual - du har bord inne och ute, i en mycket lugn och tyst område. Vad gäller det's läge, gör att du gå med bil eller taxi och har en GPS-eftersom det är beläget i en ord knepigt ställe (som gör det ännu mer charmig) . De erbjuder gratis parkering med betjänad och här finns en pool kan du njuta av medan du är där!

Restaurangen ligger i mitten av alla träd, som byggdes med trä och glas. På natten de använder en hel del av levande ljus. Maten är god, med utvalda ingredienser. Priset är lite höga.

En gång du har varit till Don Pascual. . . Du vill åka tillbaka igen! Trots att det tar nästan 1 timme att köra från Rio Zona Sul, Don Pascual är värt besväret att resa. Läget är otroligt, i mitten av skogen och den mycket mysiga och exakt atmosfär. Maten är riktigt bra, massor av alternativ i menyn och deras caipirinha också utmärkt! ! Jag rekommenderar ett besök i den helgen, boka i förväg!

Detta är ett resmål restaurang, så du har att ha hög förväntningar, som du kommer att vinden din sätt en timme ut av den Zona Sul av Rio att anlända här. Det är sannerligen en oas - typ miljö. Vid ankomsten blev du kommer att hitta en restaurang i skyddat läge i den inhemska annat hans boning atlantica, typisk av Rio de Janeiro. Den rustika inredningen är attraktivt och lämpliga för destinationen och som sådant, dina förväntningar är förhöjd. Men erfarenheter försämras snabbt. Den lössinfekterad matplats och tömda stolar och bord inte är värda att omgivningarna. Vår servitör verkade som om han var en deltidsanställd att fylla gapet för helgen turister som; hyrde vågade mig till den här platsen. Han var inte känner till med menyn och ofta har blivit förväxlad och oförberedd för att tjäna våra två svensexor. Han gjorde inte fylla på vin, var inte redo för att kommentera på förslag och verkade överväldigad av den kund service krav. Maten var flottig och tråkiga. Det faktum att det här stället desto nödvändigare ett certifikat av Excellence form TA är skrattretande. Om du längtar efter ett "utanför Rio City" erfarenhet, gå till Quinta eller Bira. Om du är villig att ta den timme - lång vandring utanför Rio i sök av märket serenity, dessa är bättre alternativ… varken är utmärkt, men bättre än Don Pascual. Var detta omdöme till någon hjälp?
