This place is a fantastic option for breakfast after a night out as they have bacon eggs, and french fries.

Absolutely love the food here but the service is quite slow. Thank God the food is delicious, it is worth the wait!

I highly recommend the buttermilk waffles with fried chicken. Eat them with hot sauce - yum!

My husband had the breakfast set with biscuits, cheesy omelette and homemade turkey sausage - also delicious!

The food is like what you find in a diner in small town America. Feels nostalgic of the time I spent in Amherst, Massachusetts.

I would definitely come again and perhaps try the pancakes 🥞!

Gringo Café is hands down one of the best breakfast spots in Rio! We visited twice, and both experiences were fantastic. On our first visit, I had the Farmhouse Breakfast, which was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We also tried the spicy buffalo chicken strips, which had just the right kick, and my partner thoroughly enjoyed his grilled chicken club sandwich. The portion sizes were generous, making it a great value. On our second visit, I opted for the sausage, egg, and cheese scramble, and once again, the quality and taste were top-notch. Whether you’re a local or visiting, Gringo Café is an absolute must-try. The food, atmosphere, and experience make it well worth any wait!

Gringo Cafe in Rio Brazil is a dope breakfast/brunch spot that is Brazil owned. Food: the food was amazing literally finger licking, tasting, leaving you wanting more! We had the Belly Buster and Farmhouse Breakfast and it was a MEAL lol! Everything was cooked fresh, hot, and seasoned well. Service: the service was amazing, fast, efficient, and staff is very friendly working together at all the tables. Due to the high demand for this location everyone is fast past but ensure to engage the customers and personalize the experience. Ambiance: the resturant is Brazilian owned with open seating from host. It's can seat max 45ppl and also have outside sidewalk seating. The inside is also decorated according to the season and holiday. My overall score is 5.0/5.0 listen when I tell you when in Rio Brazil this is a MUST!!!

Gringo Cafe! And there were a whole lot of Gringos lol! It's in a cute are of Ipanema and a few blocks away from the beach. We sat in there inside/outside area and there was so much natural light! It took a while for someone to come and take our order. And I mean it took a while, but I am noticing that is just the Rio culture. So don't take it personal lol! The food was great! Really reminded me of America! Will definitely be back!

There was a bit of a wait so I was expecting good food. And good food is what O got. The chicken was well seasoned and the waffles were the perfect sweetness. The eggs were super fluffy and buttery. It was totally worth the 20 minute wait.

It's a cute American style spot hence the gringo name. The waffles were fresh and a lot of the items are made to order which is really nice. The fruits are very fresh along with the waffles which were really good! Simple and cute.

Went to Gringo Cafe to eat some American breakfast as I was feeling homesick. The waffles were so crispy and fluffy. The bacon was cooked to perfection. Only thing was that the hash browns could have been a little bit more cooked and brown. Service was very friendly, although at the end it was very hard to flag down our waiter to pay. Still loved the overall atmosphere of the place. Would choose Gringo Cafe over iHOP.

Decent place for breakfast. Almost missed it while walking. Relatively small place. Fully American breakfast menu. Got pancakes, chicken and waffles and an egg white omelet. The latter 2 took a while to come out, so if you're in a hurry order something simple. Chicken and waffles was good, you can choose 1 or 2 waffles. Chicken was freshly breaded and light. Omelet was relatively good as well, fluffy. Overall good place to stop by if you're looking for an American breakfast in Rio.

Really nice American style cafe in rio- cute street too! Loved it. Tiny place so perhaps it's good to go during an odd hour. Nice little tables spaced pretty close. The service isn't great (takes forever to get food and attention) but the meals are great. The al day breakfast is typical upscale diner food- excellent eggs and hashbrowns. Their biscuits are dreamy. They also have giant cake slices all homemade. The vegetarian dishes are excellent- I loved the veggie chili with homemade cornbread. Pretty decent coffee too. I know they have cocktails but I have only ever had that- too early :)
