I stayed there mid week to avoid the party’s at the weekend. It was perfect, quite quiet mid week. Staff were friendly though all communication was through google translate which is normal. You can choose what time you want breakfast brought and it’s a perfect selection. Highly recommend for the views, breakfast and beautiful large bedrooms. The moto taxi to the top of the hill is no issue and staff can help get you a return moto taxi or you can just stand around the corner and wait for one. Booking.com location for the hotel is wrong. Google maps location is correct.

I went with a friend for the nightlife but they let too many people it and the dance floor was completely packed. You couldn’t even walk through. The view is beautiful and the music is good but getting there is difficult.
The main thing people should know is DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH SLUMS. There is a current gang war happening so you cannot take photos of the streets at all or you risk being killed or having your camera taken. Outside the bar there are many groups of men with automatic rifles and large guns. It is very dangerous if you do not know what you are doing.

Honestly, I don’t think anybody should have any complaints about this hotel. For about 60$ a night USD this is more luxury than most 500$+ a night hotels I have stayed in. Views are amazing, complimentary breakfast brought to room is elite, & it’s good vibes from the funk music playing downstairs to the balcony & internet TV. Felt romantic when I had company & all the provided snacks were cheap + gostoso. The one thing is you need to take moto to get here, only reason this was a drawback for me is that it was raining when I first arrived so I got pretty wet otw up lol. Bring 10 reais as a tourist to give the moto & they will take you up no problem.

Worst bar in Rio. Music is boring. Need to wait for a garçon for 30 min. Workers here are rude and unprofessional.

Great overview of the favela and Copacabana beach.  Food is good but you must use a credit card.  You also pay upfront after you sit down.  They don't have cash there except maybe the bar in the club section.  It gets packed at night mainly with tourists.  Take a bike up as I wouldn't recommend walking.  Bring lots of small bills as you'll need them.  To pay the bikes or if a local walks you to the restaurant up top.  Bikes at night are usually R$15 but you're at their will.  At the end of the day you'll be paying for an amazing experience.  The 2-4 USD is worth not arguing over.
